Most people would advise you not to, but I think that if you live in an area that does not have too much pollution you could, but I might be completely wrong so don't trust me.
You know filters have dimensions on them before you buy them you read the box I'm sure with it touching following your tank it wasn't resting and properly and that's probably why it made a lot of noise
What brand is the Tank? If its Aqueon those go on sale often for a 1.00 per gallon. But they're not manufactured for saltwater and are known for leaks after prolonged use.
You may have been able to use that filter. Just DONT use the pipe that attaches to the inlet, leave it open and just wrap a net with a zip tie to protect fish from being sucked in. I did the same with an aqua clear. I used the same netting thats used for diy net screen tops.
I 100% understand the motivation Behind making this kind of video, however it will set a lot of people up for failure. Please understand I'm not trying to be judgmental or a troll, Small tanks especially for beginners are a very bad idea because of the parameter swing. Also a bare bottom tank is exceptionally hard to maintain because there is very little to no surface area for bacteria to colonize it creates violent bacterial blooms as well as unstable parameters

Sheriff's office you can! If it were me I would run it though a filter sock first to clean out some of the debris and to clear it up!
the thumbnail is a mood
can the filter intake tube be cut at all to not touch the bottom of the tank?
So do i not need some kind of pump for the salt and all that? Just put in salt water and a normal filter and that will work? Like for real? PLEASE understand I know very little to nothing about salt water tanks but dream of having one some day. But I'm sure you can tell that by my question lol.
What not to do when setting up your aquarium 😂
Exactly🤣🤣
Nice Diggie pick
U should get the marineland 200 HOB, I to buy everything from Petco. They do price match just like you said, & did it with Amazon $28. That aqua clear won't keep up with bio load. I have it running on my 10 gallon saltwater setup at wrk, clean lots of flow.
Everyone should get a waterfall flow filter there much quieter and your fish will love it
What is a rodi unit? Seriously asking, have only kept freshwater so far..lots to learn to get into marine yet
Reverse osmosis/de-ionized
Have you tried plastic dip for paint? It would be easy to remove as well if you would want to at some point
I need to get back into the hobby.
You should have went with a Seachem tidal 55 filter. Has a surface skimmer and bigger media chamber.
W-why the 55 though?
Can I put just one Hideout on salt water tank
Nice mate. I'm from Australia.
Thinking of turning my 2 Foot Cube Tank into salt. I only use Rainwater for my Tropical tanks, is this still okay to use? So.. Filter, Sand, Rock, Lights, and Salt. Is this all I'd need? Thank you
Happy Fish Keeping 👍 🐠
Most people would advise you not to, but I think that if you live in an area that does not have too much pollution you could, but I might be completely wrong so don't trust me.
Omg when he dropped the rock on the glass bottom.
You know filters have dimensions on them before you buy them you read the box I'm sure with it touching following your tank it wasn't resting and properly and that's probably why it made a lot of noise
I used chemipure blue and it was not whst everyone says it is. Water flow and a skimmer and call it a day👍🏾
You wasting your money on a skimmer for a tank that small. A weekly water changer is all you need for a tank that small.
Great Video💯 Im looking forward to a updates on this budget build🤙🏾
How long u let the tank sit before u start adding fish ??
Can you use anything on back filter for a saltwater tank
What kinda water do you use?
“Title text here”
I 100% understand the motivation Behind making this kind of video, however it will set a lot of people up for failure.
Hi, nice work. Where do u find the top in plexiglas ? I have cats and impossible to have a system for my fluval m90
you can also use plasti dip to paint the tank and its rubber paint so it can be easily removed
I whent to petco one time and price matched and saved $30 on a heater
