Thank you. I am happy that you are pleased with me. I was planning to recreate the fuel pipes and such. I gave up due to lack of photos and materials of the actual car.
This is amazing the amount of extra stuff that is being done to make the model more realistic. It would have been better if there was some information put on the screen at certain points to explain what was being done and why.
Thank you. I am glad to hear that. I think you are right, there is a lack of explanation. I am considering whether to post a summary video with explanations after this piece is completed.
Thank you. Lacquer "Urushi" is a method used for hundreds of years to apply gold leaf in Japan. This technique is still used in traditional Japanese crafts today.
I couldn’t hit the subscribe button fast enough. This is, hands down, the most jaw-dropping, accurately built/painted model I have ever seen, and the editing is top-notch. Your painstaking prep work, colour selection, paint mixing and finishing set you head and shoulders above anything else I’ve seen on TH-cam, and I subscribe to a ridiculous number of channels. Yet you still seem to find the time to acknowledge and reply to virtually every comment that gets posted. With that in mind I have a question: it looked to me like you made foil adhesive from cashew nut shell liquid - is that correct? If so, is it because it will not hold brush marks? I’ve been struggling with finding an adhesive that will work with very thin foil but can be applied by brush and will self-level in a very thin layer, but that is reasonably easy to use and has acceptable tack and dry times.
Thank you. I am glad you are pleased with my work. To apply the aluminum foil, dilute Urushi 10 times with a special diluent. Then, apply the lacquer with a brush to the place where the aluminum foil is to be applied and leave it for a few minutes. When the lacquer becomes sticky, the aluminum foil is applied. For thin 24k gold, silver, or platinum foil, such as 0.0001mm (1/10000mm) thick, apply lacquer to the area to be covered with the foil and leave it for a few minutes, then wipe off the lacquer with a special dust-free tissue paper before applying the gold, silver, or platinum foil. In this case, if the lacquer is completely wiped off, the lacquer will be glossy; if a little is wiped off, the lacquer will be semiglossy; and if almost no lacquer is wiped off, the lacquer will be matte. The finished gloss can be adjusted according to how much lacquer is wiped away. This technique has been handed down in Japan since ancient times. It is still used today in traditional Japanese crafts, and all of the gold leaf applied to the ornate decorations of Japanese castles and shrines built more than 400 years ago was created using this technique. The chrysanthemum crest on the bow of the battleship Yamato and the battleship Musashi were also gilded using this technique. Today, many people in Japan use the same technique to apply gold leaf to the chrysanthemum crest when building plastic models of the Battleship Yamato and the Battleship Musashi.
@@mokeipaint Wow! Thanks for such a detailed reply! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge with us mere mortals. I will now attempt to find a local, or at least Canadian, source for Urushi and accompanying thinner. You have gained a loyal follower and subscriber.
@@mokeipaint Thank you again, it would be disastrous to dissolve a model after putting so many hours of work into it. 🫣 I’ve been thinking about your builds and considering how much time you must apply just to plan everything out. I’m guessing there must be several days, if not weeks, spent on researching colours, determining which parts need correction and how that should be done, planning how to best mix and apply each colour and in which order, deciding which type of paint to use, how to light and frame each shot, etc., etc... All this before removing the first part from the sprue! The more I think about all that, the more I appreciate how much time and effort you put into what we see, and it becomes easy to understand why each episode takes so long to produce. The result, while no doubt exhausting for you, is a master class in model making for your viewers. I’m sorry to go on at such length, I am struggling to put into words how awed I am by your skill and creativity and I (selfishly, perhaps) hope to help inspire you to continue producing such amazing content.

He literally used putty to make the break lines or wires what ever that was that he then painted with very tiny dotted lines down it that was amazing all the details he put into this build is crazzy he did stuff that you won't even see once the car is together but it's there and he knows it's there and can say it's even there this is amazing and I aspire to be this good one day when building models at the very least a 1/16 as good as you I aspire to be can't be 100 percent as good cause your amazing

Thank you😀 Don't throw your models in the trash🤣
Just stumbled upon your channel , amazing modeling skills.
Thank you. I am happy that you are pleased with me😀
Amazing just amazing the thought process and creativeness. I would love to see you build the revell 1970 fast and the furious dodge charger.
Thank you. The Dodge Charger is a famous car! I would like to make an old-fashioned American car, but it is difficult to obtain a kit in Japan, so I am currently looking for it😀
that was incredible you did a wonderful job
Thank you. I am happy that you are pleased with me😀
You simple are the best model make I have ever seen wow

Your filled with patience
Keep up with the amazing work
Thank you. I am happy that you are pleased with me. I don't have a dremel tool, but I do have a Blue Point and Snap on tool.😀
Wow! I'm totally blown away by your skill.
Thank you. I am happy that you are pleased with me😀
WOW - you are truly a master. So many wonderful details.
Thank you. I am happy that you are pleased with me😀
You forgot the hoses for the braking fluid at the calipers.
Just kidding. I've never seen such an amount of Detail. Great work!
Amazing! Your attention to detail is very impressiv!
Thank you. I'm glad you're pleased😀
You did an astounding job! I have this kit but I wouldn't go this far, it's a curbside kit!
Thank you. Please make this kit. The content of this video is an example, so you don't need to go this far😀
fbi wants to know what have you been doing couple thousand years ago, It has something to do with sculpting a human being.
truly amazing work
Thank you.
What a great idea using oil based lacquer as an adhesive for kitchen aluminum foil.
Thank you. Lacquer "Urushi" is a method used for hundreds of years to apply gold leaf in Japan. This technique is still used in traditional Japanese crafts today.
This is fantastic work so far! I would be really happy to see next part od this build. :)
Thank you. I am happy that you are pleased with me. Next video will be finished soon. Please look forward to😀

Fantastic detailing! Great job! + 1 subscriber!
Thank you😀
Nice clean build
Thank you😀
I couldn’t hit the subscribe button fast enough.
@@scottsheward4740 Thank you. Thinner solution of Urushi dissolves plastic, so please use thinner for plastic models when using it on plastic models.
@@mokeipaint Thank you again, it would be disastrous to dissolve a model after putting so many hours of work into it. 🫣
I’ve been thinking about your builds and considering how much time you must apply just to plan everything out.
Amazing, to be adding welds on the chassis and carving out inner wheel arches? Wow! Really impressive.
Thank you. I am happy that you are pleased with me. Welding is a characteristic of race cars, so I reproduced it😀
Tamiya done an RC version of that livery and model that was a pretty cool
😀👍
