Marly, I love your teaching style, always clear and having you demonstrate what you are saying is such a plus on these tutorials. Over the years you have inspired me to attempt projects I may have shied away from as too complicated because you made learning new techniques and stitches easy. Finding your channel was a happy day.
I love this beautiful shawl and your instructions are always very clear. I like that you have both knitting and crochet tutorials since I do both and like to switch off on what I do so I don't get bored. Thanks.
Thank You, Sweet Marley! I love the efficient way you hold the needles & use all your finger to advance the yarn. How did you learn to do that? Your techniques will make my knitting so much better! I can't wait to make this shawl & hopefully retrain my hands to knit as effortlessly as you do! Your Mom is so blessed to have you as her teacher. I am blessed because I can watch your fabulous videos!! Hugs!!
Marly, I’m confused! The way you demonstrated the seed stitch is to K the purls and P the knits on each row. This is the way I learned the Seed stitch years ago. However, in the pattern description of the seed stitch, Row. 2 directs us to K the knits and P the purls as presented. I will be making my seed stitch sections as I learned it and you described it, but I found the directions a little confusing. Was concerned that a new knitter might as well. Thanks for another beautiful pattern and tutorial! I love your style!😁
Omg I’m glad I read the comments because I was also confused about the seed stitch and yarn inspiration didn’t correct the pattern as of yet , March 1.
Hi! Love your site. You are my go to person. I have a problem. With the width and length I don't have any place to block it. Does Dry Cleaners block items? And if so what is your opinion? If I can get my daughter to take it in for me as I am unable to get around easily. Please help me.
Marly- I would never have tried this complicated pattern. But with these instructions and the video, anything seems possible. Thank you again for these great videos. Can I your Chic Sheep yarn?
You describe things very well. I understand how how to do the CTD stitch, but when I try to slip the three stitches over the knitted one, something goes very wrong. It's like the stitches are splitting and getting lost. I know you are decreasing, but I just can't get it to work. I can do the double decrease with no problem. Any tips?? Thanks.
The link to the pattern is not showing up on my feed... so I went to the website. Wouldn't this be great in the Hygge Yarn?! Thank you for sharing knitting patterns as well as crochet. Much appreciated.
Is Chic Sheep available in stores? the Yarnspirations website says that they will not guarantee the same dye lot for multiple skeins in the same order. I shop at Joann's and Michaels and Mary Maxim in Michigan. I really don't want to shop online from foreign companies since I have to pay foreign exchange rates and fees at the bank. But the dye lot problem was the last straw.
I’ve seen that before it because the purls have just a little bit more yarn than the knits. If you pull the yarn snug after you go from a knit to a purl that helps :)

Frogged a UFO for the #5 bulky yarn just to start this project. Almost finished the first repeat. You inspire me to start everything! LoL 🤣❤️
Gorgeous 💕. Thanks Marly!
Thanks, Lovely Marly
Beautiful, I would like to do something like that but in crochet technique! Thanks 🙏
I love this pattern. I’ve been looking for a simple shawl to knit and this would be perfect! Thanks
Lovely❤❤❤❤❤

I’ve contacted Yarnspirations to inform them of the mistake in the pattern.
@@MarlyBird so glad that I watched the video AND the comments to get this correction. I love your work.

love this ... thank you
“ Hey “ Marly “ 😊🎉🎊 👌
Beautiful shawl but would just love it in a crochet stitch.
I can understand that but this is the pattern that Yarnspirations has and wanted a video for. Maybe one day they will have a crochet version designed.
Marley, is there anything like this in your crochet patterns? Love the gentle rose color and sweet design. Your so talented.
There is a pattern similar in crotchet pattern on yarnspirations
Thank you, Ashlee. I'll check it out. Thanks for being so helpful.
Ashlee Steele I looked and didn’t see anything similar to this one for crochet ??
Pretty
Marlybird when can you show a full knitted video doing the shawl with the whole shawl this will be my next project
This is beautiful and very feminine
Love this pattern! Would the Chic Sheep yarn work for this pattern? Thanks.

Would love to have this in crochet pattern
Marly- I would never have tried this complicated pattern. But with these instructions and the video, anything seems possible. Thank you again for these great videos. Can I your Chic Sheep yarn?
That is the yarn I used in the video. But I wasn’t trying to get gauge in the video so I’m not sure if Chic Shhep will look good in that gauge.

Hygge yarn is the best! I'm working on a shawl right now with that yarn and I can't wait till I'm finished. That yarn is so squishy and soft.
I love your patterns, and I was wondering if i can have permission to sell my finish projects of your designs on my etsy shop.
How many stitches do I need to make this double for an Afghan? I love the hearts and want to make it for a wedding gift.
Will this pattern work with a different yarn? I can’t seem to find Red Heart Dreamy at Joann’s or Hobby Lobby.
Looks like it will work with any bulky #5 yarn
How would I convert to size 3 yarn for stitch count and heart repeats?
Confused, row 1says k1 then p1 k1seed stitch , I end up finishing with her k1, when I start my second row I end up with two k when I start ??
What pattern is the poncho you are wearing? I have some Latte cake yarn I need patterns for! Thanks
It is the Turkey Trot Mystery Make-A-Long 2019 in knit or crochet.

It’s not in stores. You don’t have to pay exchange rates when you purchase from Yarnspirations.
Also, Chic Sheep is shipped from the states.
Marly, do you ever have little peeky holes between knits and purls in seed stitch? I do .. not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I’ve seen that before it because the purls have just a little bit more yarn than the knits. If you pull the yarn snug after you go from a knit to a purl that helps :)
