I have to admit I was cursing you as I had to start this pattern over 5 times before getting the correct alignment of the spine stitch. I finally figured out my error. I was using a small ring marker that was sneaking its way over underneath a YO where it did not belong. So when I would “knit to marker” it was in the wrong spot and my spine stitch was shifting over each time. MY MISTAKE! I am now using a larger ring marker that cannot sneak. THANK YOU FOR THIS LOVELY PATTERN!! ❤️👍❤️

Yeah! i love KC set up patterns. It seems most of designers I love, are not collaborating with KC. What a shame! I keep suggesting it...oh well. I am so glad you are working with them now and making their tutorials. Sally does have great tutorials in the KC online class but even though I have been knitting 60+ years, I keep forgetting how to do things and have to keep relearning. Nice pattern, thanks! I like to draw a little symbol over the spot on the chart where the center marker is. Just helps me to orient myself in the row, at least until the pattern is permanently in my noggin

great chill pattern! I'm thinking of knitting this with a bunch of blue, teal, and purple merino minis held together with silver silk / mohair. And, because I really love bands of stockinette in triangle shawls, I might make the stockinette areas wider and the zig-zag less wide. Thanks for the simple beautiful pattern to change up however I want.

I cast on an hour ago while watching Queer Eye (for the first time) and am one row into the zigzag section. Just now moved from written and looked at the charts and OMG! This is going to be soooooo easy to do while watching tv, thank you so much for the well written pattern. I'm trying hard to stash bust, I'm on the edge of a yarn hoarding problem and most everything is one or two skeins. This will be the first shawl I've made for MYSELF! We're getting a week of winter starting Monday, maybe before it hides again I'll have this to wrap up in

I'm I reading the pattern correctly when you do the Garter section you are supposed to repeat row 1 & 2 12 times before starting the Zig Zag pattern ? also are you supposed to use either Zig Zag pattern A and B or just one or the other. I apologize for so many questions I'm new at knitting and following patterns.

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, when working on zig zag pattern 1, on row one, I yarn over and knit two together all the way to the stitch marker; however, when I do this, I’m not able to do, “knit two together” and then knit one before the stitch marker and then yarn over and then knit. I’m not sure if that makes sense. I can’t figure out when I’m doing incorrectly. Should I have odd number of stitches in order to do this?

Hi Lynda, yes that happened to me too. So I’ve stopped using a loop marker but a little clip in the knitting sts before works.
I have some cashmere from Turkey and I want to make a triangular scarf with tassels. I’m going to do a practice one with acrylic first though.
