Hands down the best TH-cam Channel out there for Unknown Hidden ASMR that was never intended to be. The movements, the care and delicacy, and the voice all tie in together.
He just posted a new video recently. It's rather odd, but I never thought I'd unironically be happy to see a Maurice Sedwell video release in my subscriptions :D@@vladstrava9572 He is very much, quite one-of-a-kind, in both his presentation and delivery, and the bespoke pieces he works on. I would love to have a tailored suit from him one day. I wonder if he knows his videos give as much satisfaction and enjoyment as they do, beyond the initial target audience/goal of the video.
It’s this kind of attention to detail that makes his suits a value at their price point. I never would’ve thought so much precision went into mere button holes. My OCD is happy.
I have watched more hand stitched buttonholes than I care to remember in order to get the best finish humanly possible. This is the best I have ever seen! so perfect, Thank you for ending my quest 🙂
You are an absolutely wonderful fellow, you are making me take an interest in something I'd never thought I would, as a welder and a fun loving hooligan biker this is not the thing I'd expected to be wanting to learn more of 🤣
Absolutely lovely work and explanation. And I’m impressed you could be so precise and thorough with that perfectly placed camera right there. Like we are looking through your eyes.
Thank you, Mr Sedwell. I taught myself to make buttonholes and can actually do a decent one, but I was still missing some of the finer points, like what to do with the gimp at the end, or to only pull vertically around the keyhole. I am excited to so a couple buttonholes tonight after work! I watch all of your videos, but take extreme interest in these tutorial type that you do. If considering what type of content to film for your channel next, please consider some more tutorials teaching things like this. Wishing you and your team happiness and good health!
We appreciate your response, please note that the content is by Andrew Ramroop owner of Maurice Sedwell Bespoke Tailors and Principle of the Savile Row Academy. @@MauriceSedwell of course, my mistake. Thank you! Mr Ramroop is a sartorial legend! I am well versed in his story, from cutting his Mother's pillowcase, later struggling to find training on Savile Row, to eventually being the first tailor of color to own a shop on Savile Row. Quite an inspiration! 😁 I will have to look at your online courses, thank you for directing me there.
Amazing To the point, clear instructions and great pointers on common pitfalls. The other youtube channels put me off handmade button holes as the supply lists were too extensive and methods are too varied and detailed.
Andrew Ramroop is just a fundamentally interesting and inspiring dude. He’s what it looks like when you were BORN to do a specific thing and then you actually ended up doing it. Cool.
excellent demonstration except there were a few parts where the work was out of the frame. I must thank you for your good timing since I am about to get to the buttonholes on my Chanel style jacket and you cleared up my tack question beautifully. :)
Beautiful workmanship and explanation. Finding the right type of gimp is difficult for many people. Can you tell us the brand name and weight/thickness of the gimp you are using? Does it have a thin wire running through its centre? Thank you.
The workmanship looks great, where and what are the prices,? How long does it take for the master to ship them? Are the ties, shoes and socks available?
Mr. Ramroop, do you use the firmer gimp that is more wiry? I purchased a yard for buttonholes after watching this video (many times) and it just seems quite firm.
Wow that is what I call a buttonhole. I make children clothes but have never like my button holes. Well hell, as they say in Texas, its cuz I didn't know how to sew a real buttonhole. thank you for the lesson.
What size button hole punch do you use? Also, how close is the gimp suppose to be at the opening of the button hole. That is, should it sit on the edge, or say an 1/8 inch from the edge, or is it a matter of preference. Also should the knot be pulled up or to the side of the edge???
Mr. Ramroop, do you Kirby Allison? He extensively covers saville row artisans but I don’t think he has cover you on his channel . I just thought to drop a message. Keep up the great work. Cheers.
Would you consider coming to Newzealand to fix the button hole on my bush shirt? Thanks in advance. Update! Bush shirt is no longer. Completely rotted due to battery acid. You dodged a bullet!
Great video but ludicrously, the auto-generated English subtitling completely omits the word gimp from the captioned text despite the fact that he says it about a dozen times and it's the exact correct technical term for the buttonhole cord - presumably because "gimp" is on some naughty list of things it's not allowed to say... 🙄
Yes, gimp is the thick, wirey thread that goes beneath the buttonhole silk to give it definition and strength. It actually is called gimp! Kinda funny! Always makes me think of Pulp Fiction...
And when the world needed him the most, Mr. Ramroop returned

Great instructional video! What a treat to have such a high level tailor share his knowledge.
I am excited to find you teaching The Bespoke Buttonhole. I will watch this video again and again. Thank You Sir!
Your scrupulous consistency, and the clarity of your explanations, help to make your tutorials the best by miles. Thank you.
You are an absolutely wonderful fellow, you are making me take an interest in something I'd never thought I would, as a welder and a fun loving hooligan biker this is not the thing I'd expected to be wanting to learn more of 🤣
Andrew Ramroop has the single most beautiful speaking voice on earth. So relaxing.
I'd love to see more of these videos!
I have no training or experience in tailoring, but I finding it fascinating.
Absolutely lovely work and explanation. And I’m impressed you could be so precise and thorough with that perfectly placed camera right there. Like we are looking through your eyes.
Thanks very much.
So much detail work on something most folks never give a thought to.
Happy is the man excelling at his craft
Blessed is your ability to instruct
Mr Ramroop is the Bob Ross of tailoring. Great ASMR as well.
Who's Bob Ross?
I'm not sure i can find the words to explain why i find this so fascinating
Everything I know about buttonholes I learned from Mr. Ramroops.
It’s been so long! Thank you for the new video and I truly hope the next one won’t take as long..
💙
This is so fascinating!! the unintentional asmr is a bonus! Thank you for uploading, sir!
I've been waiting for a new video for I don't know how long. At long last, the voice that is very familiar and lovely is back!
This is THE BEST buttonhole tutorial ever on TH-cam! 👍🏻👍🏻👏👏 thank you sir!
Please keep making videos! I love getting a good sartorial education, these are so well done its a shame to post so infrequently. Thank you!
Glad to see a new video. I can only hope that one day I’ll be able to watch the whole thing in one go without nodding off. 😂

may I ask what is the thread that you use for gimp ? And where can I get one...
That was beautiful. I have such an appreciation for skill like this.
great information in these videos. really get to appreciate the workmanship
Amazing
To the point, clear instructions and great pointers on common pitfalls.
The other youtube channels put me off handmade button holes as the supply lists were too extensive and methods are too varied and detailed.
So glad you are back at it!
Awesome tip on substitution if you dont have gimp! So much knowledge in this video 🙏 thank you for sharing with us.
Thank you so very much for this crystal clear demonstration!
Omg 😳 !!!! A new video !!!!!!!! I couldn’t be happier
Well done...

Andrew Ramroop is just a fundamentally interesting and inspiring dude. He’s what it looks like when you were BORN to do a specific thing and then you actually ended up doing it. Cool.
This is definitely going on the unintentional ASMR Playlist! 😁😁😁😁🙂💪
I am amazed by his talent and attention to detail.
Thanks for another video, hope to see more!
Most of here are excited for asmr part.😄
How have I never seen the video before. I have a couple of sport coats with no button holes and now I'll be able to do them myself. Easy peasy.
excellent demonstration except there were a few parts where the work was out of the frame. I must thank you for your good timing since I am about to get to the buttonholes on my Chanel style jacket and you cleared up my tack question beautifully. :)
Thank you for that video! I would love to see what you did to prepare the buttonhole?
This is unintentional ASMR gold!!
I could never afford your suits but it's nice to watch these lessons
Please continue to share content.
Yay! A new vid!
Just splendid
Holy crap -- hand sewn !!
Yes, I would also like to know the brand and specific name of the gimp as well as an ordering source!!
Whoa, another upload.
Beautiful workmanship and explanation. Finding the right type of gimp is difficult for many people. Can you tell us the brand name and weight/thickness of the gimp you are using? Does it have a thin wire running through its centre? Thank you.
Hes back!
I love your videos. Thanks
Absolutely beautiful 🤩
The workmanship looks great, where and what are the prices,? How long does it take for the master to ship them? Are the ties, shoes and socks available?
andrew time for another video
I would be embarrassed to walk into the store even wearing the very best clothes I have because next to this man I would look like a Hobo.
Mr. Ramroop, do you use the firmer gimp that is more wiry? I purchased a yard for buttonholes after watching this video (many times) and it just seems quite firm.
Wow that is what I call a buttonhole. I make children clothes but have never like my button holes. Well hell, as they say in Texas, its cuz I didn't know how to sew a real buttonhole. thank you for the lesson.
i could listen to this guy read the phone book
never thought i would ever find anything like this interesting....but i do.

I have a visual condition where I can't see the letter combination "on". Because of that, I thought this video was something completely different
Mr. Ramroop kindly help with in-depth tutorials on how to draft a suit pattern. Thank you Sir
Please, give us more vidoes like that.
Ah yes *buttons*
A new video!!
I read that title incorrectly.
👹
We all need one.
I've had autocorrect change my message from buttonhole a couple of times....
May I know the main thread thật making this kind of buttonhole? Looking forwards for any reply...😂
Thank you very much
first chance I get I'm getting a bespoke suit from Maurice Sedwell
Where are you Maurice it's been months 😭💕
Do you sew with a magnifying glass? This looks excruciating on your eyes.
Subscribed!!!!
Asmr!
Tôi đang tìm, cảm ơn bạn đã chia sẻ!
Bravo
Thank information....
🙏🏽♥️
Would you consider coming to Newzealand to fix the button hole on my bush shirt? Thanks in advance.
Update! Bush shirt is no longer. Completely rotted due to battery acid. You dodged a bullet!
Who else read that title wrong
That will make the suit $10,000
I don't think they sell suits that cheap.
is he sewing a button hole shut? If so, why?
Awww shit, new lore just dropped
👏👏👏🥰
Hello sir i need job I'm tailor
Can I get one in kevlar? thanks, John.
I read that title wrong.
I’m sad that Lance Reddick will never get to play Maurice in the biopic. 😢
perfecto!
老师,您好!这视频不完整!有点小遗憾!❤
I keep reading the title wrong

And that is only one of the reason on pays upwards of £5000 for a Maurice Sedwell suit.
not going to lie, scrolling through youtube I thought the video was titled "Bespoke Butt hole"
The Gimp? 😮
Hes not saying gimp surely
