    As a Behaviour Analyst I think the behaviourist approach was explained reasonably well, thank you. An SD and prompt are different though (tricky to explain here) and reward frequency is not based on a child's age or their attention span necessarily. Its whatever schedule would be most like the natural reward rate but that will maintain appropriate responding and results in skill acquisition. Some teens definitely do need a richer reinforcement schedule than perhaps a 3 year old who doesn't require such a high rate of planned reinforcement because the natural reinforcement is enough (almost). Perhaos the 3 year gets one reward a week for going to bed at the correct time whereas a teen may need daily reinforcement for the same thing in order for it to be effective. It certainly shouldn't be richer than needed and the plan is always to fade the reinforcement out to the natural rewards available.
    This was nice to listen to while getting ready. The washing hands story was cute! Thank you.
