Those damn females took all the jobs and turned into cost cutters that's why! Note this is a joke but now that I think about it, corporatization is the reason why barbers dont exist.
I worked in the Middle East as a European expat for 20 years, and there are thousands of them like this. The service is exceptional. You'll often be offered coffee, and in many places, there are TVs for you to space out to. There are some that do pedicures and manicures, and planing off dead sole skin for guys at extra cost. They also often rip out the stray nasal, eyebrow and ear hairs, and they end the haircut with a head massage. They are also often high quality decor places and not cheapo dives. Now and then, if you're tired of home shaving, catch a shave there, and its so close that the wind almost hurts your skin afterwards 😁. Its an experience.
@@alphaomega3499 if i travel abroad i will certainly check this out. I'm not really into massages or being pampered but this is different. i would walk out if this guys place feeling like a man.

It’s a great point. Having to engage in meaningless banter about my life with a stranger is not really my goal when I go in for a haircut. I don’t mean any disrespect, but it’s unintentionally disrespectful to ME to assume I want to have these conversations. I have avoided any barbers that have subjected me to it. This was just refreshingly professional in every way.

It’s like a spa treatment for dudes! This was a great video. Someone very professional that takes pride and care in their work! I wish I could find a barber like this in the U.S.A. I remember going to the barber with my Grandad and Dad back in the 70’s and you could get this kind of service everywhere. The straight razor shave is a disappearing form of art! Again Great job!

@@Confessor. вас бы в нашу советскую парикмахерскую.😂 Воду грели кипятильником в баке,клиента наклоняли над ванной и ковшиком поливали ему на голову. А то,что руками по лицу,это нормально,так и должно быть. Мужчин так и бреют.
@@yeahmelonfarmer так везде в парикмахерских моют - сажают спиной к специальной раковине с выемкой под шею, вы откидываете голову назад и вам ее моют. У этого мастера просто нет такой специальной раковины для мытья головы. И вот что еще нетипично - в США клиента в парикмахерской обычно сажают спиной к зеркалу, лицом к телевизору, а здесь он сидел как в СССР или в России, лицом к зеркалу.

Totally agree! I thought the same thing as I watched -- he reminded me very much of Richard Harris (especially as Marcus Aurelius from Gladiator).
So I went right back to looking at the video again. There are so many wonderful things about this video. The skill & precision and focus & dedication of the barber, the beautiful photography. I feel like I am right there in the room. I had never seen the black, tar-like gel that went into the ears & nostrils. And of course the beauty of the man in the chair. I don't believe I just watched a half hour of somebody getting a shave & a haircut. And then saved it to watch again. I've rarely felt more relaxed than I do right now. If he put ME in his chair, they'd probably have to wheel me out on a gurney! 🤣

I almost miss getting haircuts.. I've been shaving my own head for a decade now, but seeing the way a good haircut looks on a man, it's amazing when skill is applied. I've gone to a few places to get my beard trimmed and edged and a shave, but I suppose I've not yet found a master, as I'm always more satisfied with my own work. Regardless, amazing job from the barber! Well done!
Absolutely outstanding... This man looked totally different in a very positive way... His personality at the end seemed to be positively different as well... You built up a man who seeming was down in the dumps so-to-speak! Kudos!
My man you’ve got some mad skills going on there, and I went to Barber school and I saw guys who was really good at cutting hair, fantastic straight razor skills and I never mastered it, I mean I think if I’d stayed with it long enough, I may have mastered it, but I didn’t stay with it. I did graduate, but I didn’t last in the business, so I went on to do other things, so one of my classmates is still my barber today, and like you he's a great guy and he has other siblings that has barbershops too. So watching you perform that haircut was like taking me back to barber school and to the shops I worked at after graduation, so watching you perform that haircut, I can just imagine watching Michelangelo do one of his great paintings, it was really something to see, so I can't say enough about your skill set that you develop, and I just love watching you do that, you made it look so effortless and I know it isn't, and so I have so much respect for you and your dedication to the service and keeping the practice alive and well. So I am just saying to you, good luck and keep doing what you're doing as I know you’re inspiring the next generation of great barbers. So wishing you much success! God bless! Cheers!🥂

You can't beat plain old professional services. Though they're getting harder & harder to come by nowadays. 👍
In London there are Turkish barbers everywhere. They all follow the same process cut/wax/hot towel & mini massage but the prices are getting higher every year. I've resorted to cheaper barber's to save money 😭

Solamente una sugerencia, cuando se atiende a una persona de cierta edad, hay que tener los cuidados del caso, porque moverle la cabeza de esa forma o ponerle la toalla en la cara, imposibilitado respirar por unos segundos y otros, no es lo mismo, que en cliente joven, que un anciano.
