That was a fascinating discussion. The panelists all brought up very reasonable concerns, and I'm struck by how different their viewpoints are from that of the consultant who spoke to the faculty of the high school at which I teach. The consultant really pushed an ideology, and created an atmosphere where dissent from her opinion was unwelcome.
These discussions are so desperately needed. Thank you!! It seems I come across more de-transition stories each week. I just finished watching Abel Garcia, Shape Shifter, KC Miller and Camille Kiefel share their de-transition stories. Between this and the Dysphoric documentary (th-cam.com/video/w8taOdnXD6o/w-d-xo.html), I'm not sure how much longer they will remain the minority within the minority. I also love the approach to care as exploratory. Much more nuanced. And props to Zander for this.....if you think de-transitioners are such a minority that they can be disregarded, then the same logic could be used to ignore trans-sexuals, as they are also a minority. Should hopefully get some people thinking.
Going to push back just a little on Teva's, what we need to talk about more. She stated that teachers are being assigned the role to explore gender. That may be true in a handful of states but in most states it is activist teachers, backed by the NEA that are trying to do push this.
Hey ya'll's. These have been great! And their frequency is welcomed. Time to invest in proper audio and visual equipment. Treat yourselves to some nice microphones! Plus, you'll appear way more official ! : )
Fellow clinician here. We need this kind of dialogue and conversation in our community. Thank you!
I'm glad to actually hear discussion, not just narrative. Thank you!

The most important issue that people are not discussing on this topic is "shame".
I look forward to all the lawsuits against doctors, counselors, and even parents for pushing children to take drugs and get surgeries

So ironic that the WPATH SoC is self-declared and everyone is supposed to accept that 😂
No one talks about their links to pornography, a castration fetish group and support for the normlisation of pedophilia.

Standard of care is for medical negligence (so more worried about lawsuits)
Science should stay away from identities and focus on the needs that those identities mask.
😂😂😂😂😂
Lisa Littman?!! Yeah, this channel has lost me.
Can't take anyone seriously who says "like, like, like" and then uptalks. Down arrow, skip and move on.
