Man what a nice guy Corey is, to invite 2 strangers to his house for tennis and to be as hospitable as you say he was gives me a good feeling, that’s cool!!! And what a nice grass court!! It’s too bad he didn’t live somewhere he could use it all year round but he keeps real good care of it!!! Glad you had fun!!!
The tennis community has a lot of snobs and people who think they’re better than others but the genuine personality of Corey is awesome. Glad to have someone like this in the community
This is so sick! Trey you're really in a league of your own in terms of creative tennis content. Your commitment to getting better while also entertaining us is amazing to see!
I’d also recommend the All Iowa Lawn Tennis Club! His name is Mark Kuhn and he also built a grass court on his farm in Charles City Iowa. Only grass tennis court in the Midwest. Mark also interned at Wimbledon and uses the same exact method and perennial ryegrass that they use here and on Centre Court. I’ve played on it twice and it is quite the experience. I loved playing on grass.
@@elchanclascocina absolutely! Mark Kuhn runs it and takes amazing care of the court. I just played on it last year and got to watch Madison Keys play there. Just google All Iowa Lawn Tennis Club and from July-August try to book a day to hit on it! It’s worth it but kind of in the middle of nowhere ha
This channel is so incredible. I would love to see Kyle progress with you. For not playing for five months he did incredible! And Corey is such a saint, seems like an awesome guy that was super excited to share his passion. I hope this isn't the last time you two play a Sunday set. Super fun video Trey, excited to see the full set drop this Sunday!
There are more grass court options in Australia right? maybe expensive so not an everyday experience, but I would assume it could be done without traveling to a random place.
@@elchanclascocina where I am in Australia grass is the most common surface type. I hardly see hard courts and there are zero clay courts that I know of here.
@@elchanclascocina If you can then I think you definitely should. My favourite court surface is grass without a doubt. Movement and hitting balls feels much more fluid, effortless and fun compared to hard courts.
What a great video, and an awesome memory for you and your brother. Amazing job by the owner to make it all happen - love the wonky tram line where you'll get the occasional "members' bounce". 'If you build it, they will come (from Austin)' Super stuff, keep it up!
What an awesome trip. Grass is challenging but I love to play on it. I moved from Baltimore to England and I would never have had a chance to play on grass in the U.S. but there are a few places (besides Wimbledon!) where you can play including a club down the road from me in Maidenhead that you can easily and cheapily join to play, so much fun. What a brilliant idea of Corey's, I'd love to do something like that myself if I ever had the chance! Love the road trip, Trey!
Check out the grass court we have here in Iowa that a farmer built after the traditions of center court in Wimbledon. It is near Charles City Iowa in the country and it is beautiful.
I'm coming up to three years and I've got to 5.5 with daily work and very local court access. You're looking amazing for ten months. Learn to jump rope like a boxer and then use that feeling in between shots to take it to the next level.
Another insane video, cant believe you went through with it 😂If you ever find yourself overseas in the UK I could show you some super photogenic courts that cost a mere few dollars to play on, we're super spoilt in that regard.
This is awesome. What a cool opportunity, and how nice of him to let you join in! I live in Japan, and they have some really strange courts here called omni (it sounds like oh-mu-nee in Japanese), which are a kind of fake grass-like surface but with sand in it. It's the main type of court here, and plays quite different from hard. I also play leisure tournaments most months at a regular fake grass court, and it plays a lot like the court in this video (though a bit more bounce). I would love to play on the real deal someday though. Japan loves tennis - you should do a video here! Nice excuse to visit. Enjoyed the video!
Awesome video and i loved watching it. Definite big smiles over here! ❤ I’ve been working on a huge driveway project due to the City and Port getting rid of our neighborhood bus stop, so have had to drive the kids 4 different times a day until then. But long story short - we LOVE tennis too (especially my kids and i - Hubby just thinks im crazy and unfortunately for him he married a crazy adventurous engineering grad who’s mind set is, “when there’s a will, there’s a way!”! 😂)! So, NOW I’m looking at transiting my massively expanded driveway base that i’ve built up so we can use it as a DUAL tennis court AND driveway! 🎾 + 🚙 = 😃 💃🏻 So, ive been researching different construction methods and strategies for building tennis courts and see what others have done and how it works for them! That’s how i ended up getting your video in my feed! :) Love this! 💚
Great court ;bravo to owner . Bounce looks pretty good if a little low . Impressive to play up to November; interesting as to Wimbledon grass - imp , elf , sprite
Lovw those grass courts,,,, Old school. grass....... Wimbledon has a lot of clay in the soil to make it hard. The best tennis grass court is Queens Club in London . Wimbledon at one time wanted their groundman to work at Wimbledon yet would not pay his salary what he was getting at Queens .Also they play with the slazenger ball so different than wilson or Penn and you guys should play in all white ,,,,LOL THanks again boys. Go my youtube and learn from Vic Braden . He was a great tennis coach
Little late to the party but if you have the means check out the grass courts at Tower Grove park in St. Louis. In fact there’s a wooden racquet tournament in July.
Absolutely amazing video. Loved it, such feel good content and what a legend Cory is! Even the bonus motel review was a little comedy nugget of gold! 😂 made my weekend watching this 🙏
I would freakin love to play there, what magnificent grass he has. Also you have an aptitude for the game bro, this level of play for 10 months practice at your age is insane. Very natural service motion and forehand, little bit like Gustavo Kuerten on that forehand. Shot-making like at 10:33 is not normal for 10 months.
Trey, if you and Kyle want to come out and play some dubs on grass, you can fly out for the Indian Wells tournament next spring. My 16-yr-old son and I will play you guys.
I know im really late, but St. Louis, MO has the ONLY free public courts in the United States. They’re open at specific times of the year, but very interesting part of history in tower grove park!

I watched the Wimbledon video about it and I think about it often as it is a nice but very sad story. Does that court still exist?

you guys should do more stuff like this
i’ve been getting my pHd in professional lawn care for the past 3 years and I couldn’t come close to this. just another absolute masterclass from WOT
This video is absolutely elite. 18 months in to my tennis journey and I'm dying to lose my grass court virginity. Love from Australia

What a cool host. Solid content. A memory you and your brother will cherish for life.
Great video man. Very funny! I was smiling listening to the guy explain his court. What an awesome setup for him.
Love the dedication to find a grass court.
The effort is insane
such a wholesome time. kyle is stellar!
That is crazy! Here in Australia the majority of courts are grass! Grass court tennis is huge over here in summer time!
What part of Australia, in NQ we have only outdoor hard

SO JEALOUS OF YOU! The Bucee's shirt in Idaho! The hotel! The grass! What a video!
You guys are awesome. We moved to 7 acres & I had seen his old video when researching like you. Thanks for the inspiration
These guys went from Austin to Idaho to find a guy with a Buccees shirt. Greatness.

Best video yet! Production was amazing
did not think you could take tennis raquets as cabin luggage on a plane.
AWESOME. Let me know when u come to the OC!
Holy moly I’m glad to be on this venture
Corey is the man! great video
You’ve completed my life long tennis goal of playing on grass lol. Very jealous and makes me just want to do it even more
Unbelievable content. Hearing that Trey took out six loans to make this trip happen.
that's just dumb
I have always wanted to try playing on grass, looks really fun
Wow! Incredible!
What an awesome video. There is no other sport that unites more than tennis. 🙂

I didnt know you were mates with James McAvoy
That bounce is so darn low. Would annoy me but I would probably just hit lots of slices. Can you slide on this grass?
Lol that grass court owner seems very cool, you should link his info to help him out as well. Love the vid!

This reminds me of Frank Costanza putting in his own billiards parlor.
He should call this court “The Place to be”
Love your rolltop tennis bag. What is it?
I only wish I could experience this. Tennis on fluffy grass! NICE

You are pretty good for playing just 10 months.
Not even 10 mos in and you're already 3.5. Not bad!
I would love to see a timeframe video of that court beeing made (if he has it)
I play USTA matches at West Side Tennis Club and I just look at that grass and say one day!
beautiful court, congratulations.
