You inspired me to start my 3rd loc journey, yes 3rd! ❤ We are hair twins and I kept getting locs that were too big for my texture. I just got my sisterlocks established and needless to say I'm obsessed with them😢. They are the perfect size for my fine hair. Thank you for starting and sharing your journey 😊!!!

Yeah. It’s already hard and only gets harder if your hair is long. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you and wishing you luck for next week!

Need help!! I'm moving from the States to New Zealand and close to NZ is Australia. I do not see a loctation there. Is there anyone out there? Can someone help me.....I do not want to cut my locs. Thank you so much.

Another question for a potential loctitian: how would she handle it if she has to cancel your retie appointment due to illness/emergency?
Would she be trying to reschedule asap or willing to refer you to another trusted consultant?
(This was a problem for me during my 1st year with the person who started my SL's)

I can't say how someone else would handle that. Since there isn't exactly any rules for this type of thing.
If it was an illness/emergency, I would think they would reschedule when they could. But if it was so severe that they couldn't return then they could have told you to find someone else. Not everyone has referrals to share,

Hey Kyla, I am scheduled to have sisterlocs in TX by a former sisterloc consultant. She was certified and then she stopped paying her dues but she’s maintained over 80-90 clients both via transfers and via establishments within my local area. Her work is really good. I guess my concern is when I went to the consultation see spoke abt not doing the exact sisterloc sizing. This was of course alarming to me bc her price doesn’t change and she will still call them sisterlocs. Obviously they won’t be as large as microlocs but they aren’t gonna be the sisterlocs loc size. The grid & number of locs will be the same. will
she informed me for finer hair she wants the integrity of the hair strand to be maintained so my loc will survive and not thin out too much to pop off. She said doing the super super thin strands may be an issue later. Should I be worried and run . Again her work is good. I’ve seen first hand, but she doesn’t have her active sisterloc certificate and she plays with parting size. I’ll be paying $1325 for 450 locs possibly. Please help sister .

      A few things:
      - What exactly is your concern? Number of locs or loc size? Also, were you priced for the number of locs you might get or the length of your hair? I’ve never seen anyone say “ I’m paying $xyz for ___ locs”.
      - According to the sisterlocks website, 400 is the average number of locs for a Sisterlocks establishment meaning you can have more than 400 locs or less than 400 locs and still have Sisterlocks.
      - If you have low density hair then she has to make necessary adjustments for the integrity of your locs. That's not strange.
      - How do you know that she was a consultant and that she no longer pays her dues?
