    Your hair is beautiful. I'm 5 months in and I've been getting my retightening every 8 weeks (except the first one was 6 or 7 weeks) with no problem. I'm encouraged by how thick your hair looks. Thanks for sharing.

    I understand fully what you mean when you say you don't have the time to bother trying to keep your ends curly when they seem to want to loc. I'm 18 months in and I feel the same way. I have become quite tired of conditioning my ends so I just let them be. Most of my locs are still not fully mature and it looks like it may take another year or more for that to happen but I'm fine with it.
    Your locs are really beautiful. You've still got a lot of curls and it's super shiny. I love them.

    Hi Kyla! I think I want to stretch my reties out to 8 weeks as well, versus the 6 weeks that I've been going. Mainly to save money and my goal is to do a few self reties myself 😩 your locs are beautiful as always and thank you for this update, girl❤❤❤

    Hi Kyla. Your hair is looking beautiful. It has gotten fuller and I can see the difference in your locs in the back. They are looking more like locs. I will be 4 months lock next week. My hair is soft also and I'm wondering if all the fuzzy hair goes away :(
    I don't mind them so much but I'd rather them be in my loc!
    Thanks for the update.

    One year in…. My ends are still curly and my hairline will NOT lock!! It’s frustrating but still don’t regret my choice!

    • @TheRealKylaB
      @TheRealKylaB  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really? Are they still slipping?

    • @tbthom7691

      @@TheRealKylaB yes ma’am! The hair is really fine and makes it to about three weeks before they go back to my completely loose natural state! Every re-tie I have “baby locks” while everything else is maturing. We’ve tried 3 point and four point rotations, combining locks with other locks, and all with the same result! 😂🤷🏾‍♀️ They will not be tamed!!! Maybe one day!!!

    My hair's pretty much like yours. I got my sisterlocks installed mid May 2021 (8 months ago) and they are slowly maturing, I'd say like 30% of my hair has locked. My reties are every 5 weeks

    Hello one year for me this month. I'm very satisfied. I am seeing alot of frizziness. I think it's part gray hair and the teenage phase. The gray hair is very unruly. I'm excited though. My hair was colored before having my locks installed so I started with processed hair also and may have to cut when I get some length. Thanks for sharing.

    im 5 months in and you are one of my inspos): . i started with 2 strand twist and maintaining with 3 pt rotation shockingly you can hardly see the twist pattern in my nape, crown and most of my hairline and i think is becausei let my hair do its thing controversial but i dont braid and band , i wash when ever the mood strikes me , dont have a spritz or moisturising routine, oil only on wash days. my hair gets frizzy but i dont mind the frizz i think its what is letting it loc so fast. ive retied twice so far planning to go in for my third next week. basically i dont bother much about my hair just wakeup and go exactly why i got them in the first place.

    Hi Kyla,
    Thanks for the update. I believe I am about 5 months behind you on my journey. I’ve noticed my hair is super dry lately so I did condition after my last wash and my hair looks and feels so much healthier. I’m experiencing lots of shrinkage, do you still braid and band?

    • @naimad.7647
      @naimad.7647 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Did you experience slippage when you conditioned?

    • @Watermelioness
      @Watermelioness 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have you tried rose water? My loctician recommended it to me, not sure what it's supposed to do though.
      Also, they usually advise to continue braiding and banding until your locs have matured to avoid slippage and creating holes in your locs which could make them more prone to breakage. I'd say be careful with the conditioner they may not be good for your sisterlocks.

    Your hair looks beautiful. I am at 15 months of my microlocs journey. Hairline hasnt locd at all. Still have alot of curly ends which are more pronounced after a wash. I retighten my hair. But i have noticed i cant go more than 6 weeks cause of the growth.

  • @mannecknozine

    Does your consultant do the 4 point rotation? You hair looks full for fine hair!❣

  • @cocoe7023

    My ends are starting to look like that also. I noticed my sisterlocks in the back don't even have any curls. I'm fully locked at 17 months but I believe it's due to my 4c texture.
    I saw the loc length check shirts on etsy.

    When your sisterlocks were installed, was it started with braids, 2 strand twists, or interlocks?

    • @TheRealKylaB
      @TheRealKylaB  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sisterlocks are interlocked.

      I’ve only been to one salon. And only 2 people ( who worked at the same shop) have been in my hair. The salon I got my locs established at, has not been accepting new clients since November 2021.
