I hit my front lawn on a -5 with the scarifier, 2 passes about 10 days ago. Looked very shabby afterwards but is starting to look a lot healthier now. Hoping to do the bigger back lawn today / tomorrow if I get the time in the evening with no rain. Worm casts are everywhere at the moment so they will need to dry a bit in the sun before I can clear them.
Kick off 2 and champ manager italia were my main amiga multiplayer games on amiga. Good times. Les Ferdinand was an amazing internation acquisition, just relentless scorer.

A brake in the weather you say? Well.. sure I can scarify my lawn.. but it is raining and has been for the last 1,5 month and it is said to continue at least a month more.. maybe a year.. so maybe in 2025 or so.. 😂😋

Hi Daniel have been enjoying watching your content on TH-cam and wondered if you could do a video on a complete neglected lawn ie one that hasn’t been scarified for years if ever. I’m sure this would be of interest to a lot of your viewers as it probably is more relevant to the majority of us. I have approx 300m2 lawn full of thatch weeds and moss, I scarified it approximately 9years ago with an electric titan machine which is now broken and am toying with buying a petrol machine but not sure. When I watch you scarily it removes a lot of material but nowhere near as much as on a uncared for lawn . And the lawn looks absolutely trashed. Probably why I haven’t done it since.
Ironically I have the same hayter mower as you as I wanted a machine to reduce time to mow the lawn, never regretted it it’s a great machine.
Hope you get an opportunity to show us how to start from the beginning.

@@DanielHibbertLawnExpertgetting a backpack sprayer Dan, going to be using weedol first in it, is there a certain way to wash out the sprayer so it’s safe to use liquid fertilisers afterwards

Hi Dan , im not quite ready for that renovation work yet, i am enjoying my lawn colour and healthy sward at the moment having spent all this time and money to get it to this stage , maybe at the end of August going into September as long as its not too wet i will consider doing what you have done hear. Dont know if anyone else on your channel has noticed but you appear to have lost a bit of weight , looking back at your videos last year your definitely looking slimmer this season ,Just maybe its the cost of buying that Electric Allett mower thats affecting your wealth and your health . Just throwing it out there !! all the best
Coz ive had my hair cut and i always put weight on in the winter then lose it again in the summer plus ive trimmed my beard from the last video!
Your a bit like me then , i tend to keep my hair a lot shorter in the summer and keep off the stew and spuds that fill me up in the winter . Glad to hear your well ,cant wait for your Autumn season videos not sure when to put my icl pro 12-5-20 down but will wait to see what your doing with your customers lawns in the next few months.

I renovated my lawn 3 weeks ago, i got about 30 odd bags of top soil, at the start I mowed it down on the lowest setting and then scarified the lawn and once that was finished I put the top soil down on top of the grass and since then its constantly rained each day and my lawn isn't looking at better and dosnt look to me that the seeds have even grown? do i need to start the renovation again? any advice would be very much appreciated, thanks.

Hi Daniel, Brilliant channel, love your videos, whats your advice for cutting grass with the weather we've been having, I havent been able to cut mine for a few weeks due to the rain and work, seems to be whenever I'm in work its dry and when I'm home its raining or the grass is soaked, I've only got a small battery mower, can I go over the grass on the highest setting to dry it off then lower it or will I just have to leave it till it dries off a bit?
Always cut , obviouslyif the water is visible on the surface then wait till its drained through , you will do more damage not cutting than you will cutting it
I want to say "Cadmium Yellow," definitely a yellow, but I'm not sure of the Cadmium.
Maybe this is sacrilege, but why do you never use turf? I am about to do some TLC on my lawn and have dug up the bad bits and relaying with turf.

Do you think I have time to kill off my lawn for a full renovation? Six weeks ago I killed off hundred plantains but there are a still a few about and waiting six weeks after applying more weed killer doesn’t leave a great window for seeding. With roundup I can reseed in three?
Or just do the best I can for this year and then plan a full reno next spring?

If you have mature trees then leave it till spring but there is still a window for what you propose albeit very small.
