    You’re so positive! Great job explaining leave. Wish the Army had leave web. Have a great 2022!!

      How does the army do it? Physical paper or is it electronic?

    • @avnut7
      @avnut7 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joemilleriv it’s still physical paperwork. Depending on your unit, you may have to turn in said paperwork minimum 10 days prior to your requested leave date. Paperwork includes leave form, LES, probably a copy of your COVID vaccination card, vehicle inspection (if driving), or airline itinerary. Requirements vary depending on the command. I was at one unit that required you to be “green” on MEDPROS (everything medical/dental must be up to date)

      @@avnut7 hmm yeah that’s interesting. They usually want our IMR to be green too but mostly for TDYs and deployments

    Joe: looking at your videos brings back a lot of memories. Your dormitory was where I roomed in 1969-1970. I seem to remember that my room was 107 and then changed to 108. My first few months, I was on the third floor(about 312 or so) and slightly to the right of where the 90-degree bend goes to the other barracks. The upper floor at the bend was the dayroom and the rooms underneath were training and First Shirt's office. When I was there, it was the 3960 Security Police Squadron. Dining Hall 1 was to the east and toward the set of barracks beyond. I see the gymnasium is new. When I was there, the gymnasium was in the same building complex as the PX cafeteria, laundry, and barber shop. I think I recognize Chapel Number 3 up the hill toward the flight line. The base was 3rd Air Division under Lt. General Gillem and changed to 8th Air Force before I left in August 1970. I can send you some pics of what it looked like when I was there. Gate 1 was right by the hill going around the west end of the runway. The fuel dump was directly across from Gate 1 and now I see that the fuel tanks are inside the perimeter fence. It looks like Gate 3 is still in operation. Alert Ops was just up the street away from Gate 3. Gate 14, on the north side was pretty near(as I recall) across from the turnoff to Tarague beach. I was there PCS for 18 months. I can share some of my experiences, if you like.
