Thanks James for looking after her and your babies. Youâre an amazing man. One of the kindest Iâve ever known. Good news Leanne is on the mend - thank heavens. Tough couple of days for us all but sheâs made of strong stuff.
Glad to hear your Better half is,on the road to recovery.Scarey going, through that. Happened to me,same symptoms.Went to walk in,checked out and shipped off to hospital, under blue lights.Went through all the checks and scan.Next,a lumbar puncture.Prat me agreed for a junior doctor to do it(Bad decision).I thought, they have to learn sometime. It took him 3 or 4 attempts to,get the needle in.The pain was unbelievable.I was in a fetal position and every attempt my legs involuntary, shot out and severe pain.In the end the qualified doctor took over and did it in one.Don't think the junior was, pushing hard enough? After the procedure, they made me lie flat on my back for 12 hours.I stayed in hospital for a couple more days and then, discharged. They said mine was a virus but, didn't mention meningitis. CX has been, very quiet.Friday, got stuck in Witney Oxford.LWB,went down to 85ppm and got nothing.I was there hours,it went dead so dead miled it home.
Had my son at A n E on Tuesday. Got a call yesterday from hospital to say one of other patients was positive for meningitis so to keep an eye on anyone who was at a n e
scary...best wishes to your family
