SM idols in general are like Royalty in south korea. snsd, suju, shinee, exo these type of pioneer groups are a big inspiration for 4th gen groups and idols like Taeyeon, Taemin and other are like huge role models. Especially 4th gen idols are going crazy of excitement when they see them and bow like crazy sfjdj
Taeyeon has talked about her vocal care and all the process of it multiple times. From her time with Girls' Generation to TTS and now a soloist. I believe somewhere in 2012 she strained her voice pretty badly because it got too challenging, with SNSD's tours and Twinkle (TTS) promotions. She said she takes a lot of pride in her ability to sing well, it is something the fans and the audience expects from her and that's why she wants the absolute best outcome for her songs. She even had to take IV drips before she recorded her first full album 'My Voice' because she was taking too much pressure about the vocal result. One time she wasn't able to sing the high note in UR and she did the whole set again because she was disappointed. She is also a vocal director, she puts every single thing in her performances, a true artist who deserves all the recognition. Thank you so much for reacting to this video!
Taeyeon takes great pride in her voice. She also knows her own voice very well. She knows the range she feels comfortable in and when her voice sounds the best. Also her relationship with her live band is so cute and heartwarming. Taeyeon has been through a lot and has been open about her diagnosis of depression. She really is a wonderful person and has a fun relationship with her fans. Her Instagram stories and lives are hilarious. She genuinely cares about her music and how it sounds. She’s also an amazing artist and we know this because her music is loved by the general public, not just kpop fans (because the Korean general public doesn’t care for Kpop idols at all)

I’m jealous bc you actually got to go to one. I was still young when they were active (maybe like middle school) so I was still broke at that time so I couldn’t go. Plus my parents would never let me bc they won’t. And I used to live in a country that they don’t go to. I know they once went to the Philippines during IGAB era but it’s not their own concert. I think it’s somewhat similar to dream concert. But I still wasn’t able to go

U R was part of Taeyeon's debut album which was released 5 years ago and to THIS day, I get chills and feel all emotional when listening to it. I am always overwhelmed by the raw emotions she expresses in that song. Edit: i am surprised I Blame on you wasn't included in this compilation! That's her most emotionally intense song in my opinion. It's just so vulnerable. Maybe for that reason she performed it only once.
Taeyeon is my number 1 soloist. I like all her songs..especially when she became a solo. I was not a snsd fan, i love their songs, especially the titled track, but i dont like their side b that much. When she became a soloist, i was shocked for myself because i suddenly saw myself downloading all her songs. Theres only 3 artist in kpop that i keep on repeat and also their side b, its EXO, BP and Taeyeon.
@@maxinejijiii i heard most of them, becoz everytime they release an album, i will listen to the whole album and will save it for a few weeks, then i dont replay it anymore.. i love probably 1 or 2 of their japanese bsides. Sometimes if i am in the mood, i will play some of their k bsides.. but i dont know.. its just not resonating to me, like Taeyeons bside tracks.. actually im not a fan of most kpop bsides, except Taeyeon, BP and EXO.. Edit: i sometimes listen to TTS bsides as well.

I've been to her concert last Dec 2018 here in the Philippines and it's a dream come true to watch her perform live and experienced her music live. She is really an amazing and emotional singer and you can really feel that in your heart. Most of her concerts are available here in TH-cam you can just search for it. people at fanmeetings have said she's quite fluent but it does seem like it's mostly because she was around tiffany a lot so she learned to speak less technically and just kind of adapted (which is why her speaking english in lives sound less structured and more natural and colloquial)

Been starstruck by Taeyeon after discovering SNSD a year after they released their first single. I was simply a little girl but I KNEW she’s my effin idol and she’s gonna be big. Now? A fully grown adult, still my #1 favorite singer and idol. My only regret is that I’m too far to ever see her concerts- and I couldn’t live to ever be financially efficient enough to see a live SNSD concert before they fell apart 😩

Sometimes a performance isn't about the fancy stage and dance moves just like in Taeyeon's case she performs most of her most difficult songs only with a mic and her voice and she still delivers. It's about the message the singer can convey with their audience. I had the chance to watch her live 2 years ago and you can really feel goosebumps from hearing her voice echoing inside the concert halls.

Loved her since 2007. She’s just a year older than me, it’s like seeing the change you experienced being mirrored. Because she changed so much, went through so much, yet she’s still here and as awesome as the first day I saw her. I watch Amazing Saturday every week just to see her happy and relaxed again.
Saw Girls' Generation last 2013 (when there were 9 members), on 2015 (when they were down to 8 members) and last 2018 on Taeyeon's solo concert here in the Philippines. Every concert was a unique and amazing experience. The vocals are great but their personality is really what gets you. These girls changed my life for sure.

I attended the Tokyo stop (which they recorded) for Signal tour in JP and one of the 's... concert. For the Asia tours, it's usually more all-rounded in the way that there's more effects, dance, and even movement involved, while the Japan tours are much simpler - minimal dance, smaller and stagnant stage. That's just what I observed from the two concerts that I've been to. Anyway, she was flawless for the Tokyo concert and it felt different being in that setting having experienced the Asia tour concert. The Asia tour is definitely more taxing for her physically, but also super fun. Both are just amazing in their own way and getting to hear her live with an excellent live band just washes all your stress away.
I always love your analysis because of your appreciation for music. That’s the main reason I love SM artists. Despite all the bad things, SM really appreciates music. Of course, Taeyeon is the queen and her voice is hers but as you said the team behind her creates the best atmosphere to let her talent shine.

Her name, Taeyeon, means "calm" in Korean---and she's well-known for being-so as SNSD's Leader ( though of course, also known for being spontaneously 'dorky' too). I've watched a few of your other ( only SNSD related) reactions---- and I've really enjoyed them. NOT because they are about SNSD, but because you talk, with personal insight, about what's involved in singing and performing. Not just about the artist that has your atention, but everything involved in a performance. It's very illuminating, and a pleasure to listen-to and observe.

Been starstruck by Taeyeon after discovering SNSD a year after they released their first single. I was simply a little girl but I KNEW she’s my effin idol and she’s gonna be big. Now? A fully grown adult, still my #1 favorite singer and idol. My only regret is that I’m too far to ever see her concerts- and I couldn’t live to ever be financially efficient enough to see a live SNSD concert before they fell apart 😩

I haven’t been to Taeyeon’s concert before but I really want to!! That’s one of my life goals lol. The only time I’ve ever gotten close to attending her concert was when I was in the same city as her (Bangkok, Thailand) but I couldn’t get a single ticket for her concert 😭
What she said @11:10 is really true. Sometimes a performance isn't about the fancy stage and dance moves just like in Taeyeon's case she performs most of her most difficult songs only with a mic and her voice and she still delivers. It's about the message the singer can convey with their audience. I had the chance to watch her live 2 years ago and you can really feel goosebumps from hearing her voice echoing inside the concert halls.

I attended the Tokyo stop (which they recorded) for Signal tour in JP and one of the 's... concert. For the Asia tours, it's usually more all-rounded in the way that there's more effects, dance, and even movement involved, while the Japan tours are much simpler - minimal dance, smaller and stagnant stage. That's just what I observed from the two concerts that I've been to. Anyway, she was flawless for the Tokyo concert and it felt different being in that setting having experienced the Asia tour concert. The Asia tour is definitely more taxing for her physically, but also super fun. Both are just amazing in their own way and getting to hear her live with an excellent live band just washes all your stress away.
I always love your analysis because of your appreciation for music. That’s the main reason I love SM artists. Despite all the bad things, SM really appreciates music. Of course, Taeyeon is the queen and her voice is hers but as you said the team behind her creates the best atmosphere to let her talent shine.

Maybe someone mentioned this already....but you said "she has to be very calm".. Her name, Taeyeon, means "calm" in Korean---and she's well-known for being-so as SNSD's Leader ( though of course, also known for being spontaneously 'dorky' too).
I've watched a few of your other ( only SNSD related) reactions---- and I've really enjoyed them. NOT because they are about SNSD, but because you talk, with personal insight, about what's involved in singing and performing. Not just about the artist that has your atention, but everything involved in a performance. It's very illuminating, and a pleasure to listen-to and observe.
