2. Can only catch the first Pokémon I find per Route
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4's ace (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

-struggle is actually pretty decent early game

For those wondering, rollout and ice ball doesn’t actually have to be used immediately after defense curl, using defense curl boosts them until the user is KO’ed, swaps out, or the battle ends

@@evanczthehunter57 modding gen 4 is a bit more limited but I think it should be doable, just would require a bit more effort and I just haven't given it a shot yet, and to be completely honest I probably won't unless asked by a creator since I have a bunch of others project I wanna work on

I think technically the strongest move in the series is technically Last Respects with a theoretical maximum power of 5050, but it’s definitely up there with rollout, sharpness fury cutter and stored power.
It has a 'practical' cap of like 550, due to using Revival Blessing 10 times (5 users and Leppa Berries on all, 1 Last Resorter), you can only get higher in hackmons by also using Lunar Blessing (signature to Cresselia, Revival Blessing but restores PP, could be the wrong move idk)
Revives exist so you could go way higher in single player

Two Nuzlocke ideas:
- Lowest% -> You are only allowed pokemon with an appearance rate below X%. Like jn Johto using only 1% encounters like Snubbull and Yanms
- Nuzlocke Exchange Programm. Now with backwards compatibility you can have one person do a Paldea Nuzlocke while the other does a Galar Nuzlocke. Every capture will be traded (only tradeable captures are eligible).
Flygon, you are a great storyteller, as my disdain for Steven comes almost entirely from his refusal to ever return home despite the repeated letters his father sends him. I am happy that Nosey has evolved, and who knows? Maybe someday he'll become a trainer himself, and may yet get to meet his brother by getting to deliver a letter himself one day.
Garchomp FJ deserves his own video. Also, please do a Green Lock in Scarlet for Saint Patrick's day
Garchomp FJ's videos all end with him failing at the 1st or 2nd gym or to a random trainer, followed by a long rant about how the luck was unfair, and then continuing the game as though the deaths never happened. He gets more and more terse with chat as they call him out, until he finally ends the stream and submits a highly edited video claiming he did it all with no deaths. :D

Hey! Do a nuzlock with only rotoms! You can use whatever forms you want and switch them whenever, but once one form is gone, you can't use it anymore

Honestly one of the best part of every video is Flygon trying to find a new and unused segue for the one and only Squarespace.
Don't know if you'll ever see this Flygon, but I wanna say how much of an inspiration you've been. I finally started my first mono type Nuzlocke last year (grass type in Alpha Sapphire), and it's been a majorly difficult attempt. Even with special rules to assist me, since I'm not skilled at Nuzlocke runs, some parts like Winona were terribly daunting. I recently jumped back into it after a hiatus and am proud to say I am finally grinding for the Elite Four and preparing to try and close out the run. I don't think I would have found the motivation to pick it back up without all of your insane challenge runs that you still end up overcoming. So thank you for being that guy, and wish me luck!

An neat idea for a Nuzlocke could be a Jimtendo run with all of the Gym Leaders and E4's rematch teams.
They can be really tough and would be a new team building challenge.

There's a really fucked up slowbro strat that can stall infinitely with a held leppa berry and the recycle move. So if you hate fun there are applications 💀
Leppa berry also has a niche in low tier gen 9 battles when combined with the move Revival Blessing

I had no clue that Defense Curl boosted the damage of Rollout. They've always seemed similar in my mind but I never actually expected them to be connected in-game.
I love these nuzlock you do. Like the no new moves ones, and the no healing one. These nuzlock are so interesting to listen to you plan.
