      It's very front heavy imo in stock form, I also recommend E46 330i in coupe/sedan or 325ti - stripping everything outta it, getting LSD with shorter ratios and you have large aftermarket parts market too. In Poland it's also twice cheaper and you have 5 seat option if you want better daily. Loved that car on eagle f1 as 5 and B8 pro-kit suspension. Great grip for 1505 kg non m car.

    I have a completely stock medium mileage 350z and it is a perfect car as it is. The deal is it is soft enough and practical for daily driving on actual roads. It is dramatic, great sounding, involving and most important to me (after driving BMWs) - reliable. I am just not sure why would you remove the factory lightweight forged wheels. And I doubt those front headlights are as good as factory either.

  • @Nelthalin
    @Nelthalin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Lovely to see you drive a 350Z.
    I have one aswell. Bought it for the Nurburgring. Also broke down there on a hot day it used up its oil. So engine needed to be replaced. I should have had a oil cooler installed for my Rev-Up. The HR can handle it without but the normal DE and Revup cannot.
    My fastest lap with the stock car (only a different exhaust) was 8:38 BTG. It you really had to use power to get it trough the bends because stock it under steers quite a bit. But it was a lot of fun to drive. The sound it great but its not fast for modern standards. My Volvo V40 Sport and V40 (with polestar suspension) Both Diesels where faster in the corners.
    I would still like to bring it back there some day. But currently i dont want to spend that much money on racing. And the car will still need a good oil cooler installed before i go there again :P I did upgrade the clutch and flywheel. And the suspention but im not happy about the suspension yet (BC ER right now but it makes to much noise when driving over imperfections) so might want to swap that out for Bilstein or something else.
    My car did like 3.9km per liter on the ring so one lap was like 5 -5,5 liters of fuel. Its not that economic on the track but its a lot of fun. Its a more basic drivers car. Everything feels more heavy and connected compared to newer Hatchbacks that are faster.

    Great video as always but I can't really understand the "very heavy car" topic. A 350z weights the same of a 6cil E46. of course is not a Miata or a GT86 but it's a pretty standard weight for a mid 00s GT RWD. Never drove one of those but maybe the issue is the heavy feel, and not the weight itself.

    • @AmirPomen

      But the way it behave and drives nature makes it feels quite alot heavier... Pushing the front in corner entry...
      But also its is true gt car.. not nimble...more like good highspeed cruiser and mild corner carver...
      Unlike s2000 way of driving behaviour...300kg weight differences wouldnt make massive changes, but where the weight distributed definately makes the driver feel that... (350z if front nose heavy)

      @@RhodokTribesman you can lmao as much as you like but it doesn't change a fact its flat in early cars until rev up and even then its nothing like BMW vanos , honda v tec as that's a huge gimmick in the way the car makes you feel under acceleration. 350z has no urge , its flat feeling , unless you cam it . 370z we had was a little bit better in that sense .

    Since the 300ZX the Z has had an identity crisis. It should be a sports car considering that the G and Q series are GT models. The Z is in a weird position because it doesn't excel at being a GT or Sports car without modifications. It's too loud and stiff to be a proper GT and far to heavy to be a sports car in contrast with its power.

      @akihori 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      when it comes to touge/canyon builds weight and tires are prob the most important, then when it comes to autocross it depends because theres multiple classes you enter in so theres restrictions youll have to be within. As for aftermarket suspension and brakes im currently running HKS Hipermax S coilovers and they feel great both daily driving and when taking corners hard. As for brakes the OEM Brembos are decent when paired with the upgrade kit from Z1. I run just 1p slotted rotors, ebc yellow pads, motul rbf600.

      I’ve been looking at these. I think I’m going to go for the 370z. I don’t cover too many miles and the improvements over the 350z seem worth it. The Audi isn’t my style and I want something jdm for a change. I test drove one 2003 350z and wasn’t impressed. But that car was on sale for £2000 so maybe it wasn’t the best example!
