That's like watching one of the best porno scenes you ever came across (no pun intended) and saying, "yeah all the sex experiences people have ever are just like that, awesome!!". No. You show up to a nissan meet, and all their cars sound like fucking garbage. No offense. They're good cars. But the engine sounds like shit.
That footage is the first time I've legitimately had to hold onto my seat. Holy cow, that car is a ripper! I can't imagine driving that fast around corners.
I've loved following the progress of this thing. Proper weapon.

Would you guys consider a video of discussing what different tires look like after runs like this? I’d like to see discussion around everything from the slicks, 40,100,140, 200 treadwear rated tires in a video. I know - but a lot of beginners at HPDEs seem to freak out and struggle with what a heat cycled tire looks like after some hot laps.

Based my calculations he averaged 115 mph during the lap which is insane. A 911 Gt2 RS did a 1:22.36 lap for reference.
For reference, what was this 350z's lap time?

Im few years late. But i love watching Sasha do his thing. I was watching him at drift events before most of you guys were even born or even heard of drifting. He also worked on my car when he had a batcave of a shop.
Been following Sashi since his SG motorsport Crazy headers setup. Cant be proud of him enough of what he did in the Z/VQ game. Great technician nad race car prep technician. Way to go Sasha!!!

I remember meeting Sasha at gridlife in Michigan when he brought lotus with a Tesla powertrain. I was watching the boys drift and look to the right of me and see Sasha standing right there eating what it seemed to be poutine. Wouldn’t expect less from an a Canadian. We had a good conversation talking about engineering, direction of PHEV’s and BEV’s. Being an automotive engineer we geeked out for a solid 20 minutes. Good guy

The development work Sasha has put into this car is so impressive. This car is a monster and truly an innovative and unique build. How many people have put together an ultra-fast, high-power, hybrid racecar that laps as quickly as GTD cars?! And tuned and refined and developed and driven it themselves?
This is one of the most satisfying racing track I've ever seen.

Great video, I'd definitely also enjoy watching an entire lap or two from inside the car. The cuts between cameras are really nicely done and give a good showcase of the speed.
A 1:16.9 is pretty crazy, I'd love to also see more whole lap in-car footage of that. My personal best at CTMP has been 1:39 in my M2. Watching Sasha bombing out of 3 and into 4 without lifting is pretty awesome, I find 4 one of the scariest corners these days since there isn't the paved run-off that they've added in 1, 2 & 8.
