I think you make a good point. Driving to your car’s ability and learning how it performs under various weather and road conditions makes a big difference. I just recently replaced my manual, fwd ‘09 Mazda 3 with a new turbo, AWD Mazda CX-50. While driving the 3, I learned what it could do and stayed within its limits. While i could have used dedicated winter tires, I never had any issues driving in the snow. In fact, it was a ton of fun. But I see others in big trucks or suvs just speeding through the ice, with sudden stops, and not appreciating the physics behind all that weight and speed.
Think: hydroplaning on RAINY ROADS causes vehicles to go off the road, so WHAT EXACTLY are AWD/4WD drivers "thinking" when they drive too fast in the SNOW?
Not low but on the lower end of allowable bracket so that your tire is not bouncing off every road imperfection, you need to keep smooth and continuous traction.
Great video. I drove my 2013 Civic through the snow and icy roads when I lived in Commack, NY. It drove fine.
MY old 2000 civic was a beast in the snow

Amazing video. I'm going to take my 23 Civic to Alaska in December
Growing up in Minnesota I would see Jeeps and Subarus in the ditch all the time. Overconfident driving.
Have both Civic and Outback. Both run excellent in snow!

What is the heaviest snow you have driven this car? Beautiful video
Sorry I thought you said "You skid for 4 or 5 hours" I was going to say thats one long skid lol, I need new headphones!
=)
Why low tire pressure during winter conditions?

@@VITALexplorerlike 20-24 psi?
What psi do you recommend for the same exact car
@@johnathantoro6616 I would do 35psi in normal conditions and 28psi only during heavy snow
I CAN’T HEAR YOU SPEAK UP
