If they imperm ash summoned with oss you go bonfire, if they ash you normal poplar grab field, hiita into promethean revive se ash, field set oak, use ash send oak summon flameberge, link into amblow, flamberge revive ash oak, oak revive poplar meaning amblow with princess gy+ash oak poplar on field. If they let bonfire ressolve and ash the poplar effect you do the same linkuriboh into hiita into promethean into ash send poplar from st zone summon oak basically same endboard. If they hold ash for se ash effect to summon from deck you go bonfire special poplar add field field set flameberge in st zone poplar into linkuriboh dont use poplar st effect. Use ash send itself+flameberge from backrow they use ash blos, you go flameberge effect in gy summon ash and poplar still have a normal summon and hiita steal ash blos so its like a bit weaker of a endboard. But the tricky thing as the opponent is that they dont know what you have in hand, for example you could just have oak in hand so using ash blos to stop ash summon from deck effect wasnt correct, if you have poplar in hand then ashing bonfire wasnt correct. Those SE-hits are much more than they seem like. This means OSS cannot search Ash anymore, so a second oak, which is not great to open, or not using it on turn 1 might be mandatory. WANTED to 1 severely hurts their grindgame as well. That is in addition to the consistency hits. This is going to severely reduce Snake-Eyes grindgame, make them more interactable during the first turn and more. Fire might still be the best deck in the OCG; but the same limits had massive effect over there.
5:13 trust me, it will take SE players 5 seconds to remember Wakaushi is also a 1-card SE combo. They just never included that because of the 2 garnets, and because they weren't sweating consistency to begin with.

With Monkeyboard to 3, I can now cook with my Ritual Pendulum idea. I built it previously and it was surprisingly competent. I have a lot of URs to craft though, like 5.

They also have their own toolkit in Performapals and Odd-Eyes that are very good getting them in hand. The Odd-eyes ritual is also quite decent, with the negatives that it is a HOPT and can only use pendulum monsters, it can summon any dragon ritual from hand or GY. It has a secret effect of using monsters on the extra as material occasionally too, that helps clutch a game or two. OE Pendulumgraph Dragon also adds or recurs a ritual spell every end phase, so you can keep the grind game for quite a while summoning OE Gravity Dragon, the original Tax Dragon. You can play the OG rituals from voiceless voice along with them too. That you can also pendulum summon a bunch Pendulumgraphs in hand is also a great positive. That they are also Odd-eyes means you can potentially use them for fusions and then summon them with the OE ritual. I haven't tried a build with that though. I cooked it all up in a festival and forgot to copy the deck. If I didn't have a replay I'd have forgotten it completely.

Basically, the two Odd-eyes ritual monsters we have can benefit from almost all pieces of ritual support with the exception of preprep with their archetypes. Their ritual spell can summon any dragon even from GY so long as it uses pendulum monsters, it also has a secret effect that comes up rarely. Pendulumgraph Dragon is very nice for the grind game and Gravity Dragon is the original "tax dragon". You can also play the old voiceless voice rituals with them, or Blue Eyes, whatever dragon ritual you imagine. They can also be used for fusions and XYZ summons of monsters like Odd-Eyes Absolute and Vortex Dragon. I built them in the fusion festival once with Lord of Red, using the newer Performapals. It went well even though I didn't have any mastery of the archetype or of deck building in general at the time
Waiting for a banlist to "save" a game is not only lazy clickbait, is the wrong way to think about the game. It's they recipe to get disappointed every time because no singular banlist can balance a game as big as this one.
It's not hard to balance when there's only one deck far above every other. It shouldn't be an unrealistic expectation to think the best deck would get hit
So glad Konami doesnt lizten to youtubers, as horrific as the first few... years... of random banlists were, they've really zeroed in on just slowly hitting decks in ways that dont murder them and doing a LOT of unlimits and unbans lately I really like it. Now free my Kash cards and Kirin

Most people here need to realize that we won’t get a bigger banlist until after the Duelist Cup/WC and that it’s probably not a good idea to be messing up the meta that much every single month. So with that being said, this is pretty good for what it is. Taking cards off the banlist, slight hits to the strongest deck in the format, and banning an unhealthy card from the game. I feel like this is how the monthly banlist should be handled instead of stupid shit like Chandraglier to 2.
Idk if this will have potential (probably not because it requires your normal summon), but monkeyboard at 3 potentially enables any deck to make baronne in 5 summons (really any generic level 8 or 10 synchro). The package would just be 3x Monkeyboard and 1x Odd-Eyes Synchron. In the extra deck you need 1x Tilting entrainment.

Kinda glad for the hits. Actaully perked my attention to grind after logging in for acouple seasons. And the competition grind. It doesn't matter what they put in place, players will exploit and cheat. What was that one thought DistantCoder had. Content creators should be given a free invite. An end of the line event... atleast Pak shows his grind from the start to finish.
Forgive me for chatting, but would touching Poplar at all be a good way to affect Snake-Eye? My concern is that since it's THE playmaker even it at two could be too much of a course correction. By the same token, even with Ash at 1 you still have Bonfires to search out the funny pink friend.

Previous Tier 1 Dinos, Sky Strikers, Adamanciaptors, Thunder Dragons, Eldlich, Dragon Link, Vanquish Souls, Super heavy Samurai, Prank.Kids, Tri Brigade, and Invoked Dogmatika. Snake Eyes has been more dominant in its respective format than any of those. Yet very few hate or like Snake Eyes compared to the fanfare of previous top decks. Like the community would rather rehash MAXX C debates, complain about Tenpai, discuss floodgates like EDV, or talk about Tear coming back rather than discussing Snake Eyes. One of the most dominant decks ever in the game's history. Like we usually get Farfa talking about the format being bad. Or MBT attempting to be a pro player and talking highly of a linear format. Or Jesse Kotton, Joshua Schmidt, and PAK talking about how much they enjoy mirror matches. None of that is happening and instead they would rather talk about something else.

@@PersonaPrime The thing is, called by does nearly nothing going 2nd. The chance of drawing both engines at once is way smaller than before. Bonfire is pretty much not an extender anymore since it needs to be used to fetch ash/poplar to start your combo. The deck pretty much lost 5 extenders, so yes, the deck is way weaker into the "imperm-lile" handtraps.

Nice, looks like Sky Striker gets to win Worlds 2 years in a row. Yeah Quantal only really got to use it to dunk one of those Exosister bozos last time(which is funny considering Emre had Exosister as his side option when not on Lab and punished a key Called by vs. a Maxx "C" in the Finals against another big Lab player who picked the wrong time to try to make Dragon Link work), but that's still better than nothing.

Snake eyes got hit way harder than in TCG and calamity is banned. Farfa: "this list is bad, it's only good by master duel standards"
Master Duel is a very different game to TCG. In the TCG the deck will need to be nuked when the time comes.
The tcg hits can be bad as well as the master duel ones.
The only chance Monkey board can be "good" is if we get the Zarc stuff before any of the current good stuff.

Ash is their best normal summon by far, tho poplar is ok too as a starter. Most lists play 2 poplar, but might bump up to 3 now.

Snake Eyes has to be the least hated/least liked best deck ive ever seen. Nobody loves it or hates it. Im not sure why.
It's a strong deck but nothing as hateable full power tear and kashtira with arise heart
@@Tohfool But even compared to other top decks of the past their is less fanfare. Previous Tier 1 Dinos, Sky Strikers, Adamanciaptors, Thunder Dragons, Eldlich, Dragon Link, Vanquish Souls, Super heavy Samurai, Prank.Kids, Tri Brigade, and Invoked Dogmatika. Snake Eyes has been more dominant in its respective format than any of those. Yet very few hate or like Snake Eyes compared to the fanfare of previous top decks.
Like the community would rather rehash MAXX C debates, complain about Tenpai, discuss floodgates like EDV, or talk about Tear coming back rather than discussing Snake Eyes. One of the most dominant decks ever in the game's history.
Like we usually get Farfa talking about the format being bad. Or MBT attempting to be a pro player and talking highly of a linear format. Or Jesse Kotton, Joshua Schmidt, and PAK talking about how much they enjoy mirror matches. None of that is happening and instead they would rather talk about something else.

Snash and wanted to 1 is huge. Deck is now pretty weak to imperm/veiler
@@ijveraar3795 It's weaker to Called by than any of the ones you mentioned. You could always Imperm the Ash. The limits just made their deck less consistent. That's all.
@@PersonaPrime The thing is, called by does nearly nothing going 2nd. The chance of drawing both engines at once is way smaller than before. Bonfire is pretty much not an extender anymore since it needs to be used to fetch ash/poplar to start your combo. The deck pretty much lost 5 extenders, so yes, the deck is way weaker into the "imperm-lile" handtraps.
@@ijveraar3795 Even going 2nd Called By can put in some work. I can banish the Promethean Princess, so they lose 1 interruption, the very least. Going 1st, I can just set the Called By and when you activate Ash's 2nd effect, it's gone because I negate it and banish it.

Nice, looks like Sky Striker gets to win Worlds 2 years in a row. Yeah Quantal only really got to use it to dunk one of those Exosister bozos last time(which is funny considering Emre had Exosister as his side option when not on Lab and punished a key Called by vs. a Maxx "C" in the Finals against another big Lab player who picked the wrong time to try to make Dragon Link work), but that's still better than nothing.

Yeah but all of that is considerably weaker then just summoning ash. Where art thou is just bad cause tou allreqdy need q monster. Original sin you dont play more than 1 cause whats the point. And every option is far weaker plus they dont get to search it for a followup qnd that is a big deal.

Make sure you craft at least 1 King Calamity *_BEFORE_* the ban goes into effect so that you can get a free pack if you haven't crafted to go into it prior. Otherwise King Calamity will be removed from the pack when it gets banned and you'll miss out on a free pull/resources!
Furthermore, always craft newly banned cards if you don't already have them because you'll get a full refund anyway, and there's a chance you'll get an alternate finish that gives you free crafting points! Remember, check your notifications for old Forbidden/Limited updates whenever new Selection Packs drop, that's usually when they go into effect and you can dismantle for extra crafting points! Like this comment so others can see if you found this helpful.
Lastly, a moment of silence for those who are now forever stuck with a Royal Calamity that they can't dismantle from the 1st Anniversery rewards. (As someone who pulled literal garbage for every card in the 2nd Anni, I feel your pain.)
