Just had an amazing idea, what if they added orange mushrooms on the side of the pale trees that looked like the creaking’s eyes, so you have to second guess whether it’s even there
Yes! We need more mushrooms in the game! Make them glow a little and make it so you can pop them off and make them into some sort of pale soup food item perfect.
That Creaking superflat world is another one of those worlds that really tests your PC's performance, right there with blowing up a TNT superflat or breaking a block in a world made entirely of sand
They should add block dependent fireflies to this biome. Imagine if fireflies come out at night amongst the fog, glowing orange you might think they are the creaking at first, and then you can break the pale moss or something and move them around! Portable spooky fireflies.
Full diamond is basically(iirc even worse than) prot 1 iron. So the amor used isn't really early game, but the protection it provides can be reached fairly quickly.
another fun fact with these guys. Pumpkins have the opposite effect on the creaking than the enderman. If you are wearing a pumpkin around the creaking, they will always attack no matter what

Since they can't leave the range of the heart and are unkillable without destroying it, any noobs will die to them repeatedly, and if you hide the heart behind something like netherite blocks it would be impossible to breach without building.
13:11 the issue is that warden agro is raised by sounds, but player sounds raise agro more so if you use iron golems on the warden and hit it too many times(about 6), it’ll ignore the golems and murder you
it isn't that they can't leave the garden, they can't leave their heart block, otherwise you might get one thousands of blocks away and it basically becomes unkillable
When Phil was looking at the floating slime my brain immediately thought “Heather, Heather and Heather and then there’s the Heathers they float above it all”
i feel like the creaking heart block should have its log texture enclose around the heart during daytime, making the block look either identical or hard to spot in comparison to the logs around it, this can help prevent "safety proofing" the biome before nightfall in early game, ensuring that when first encountering these blocks they are fully active, and the mood is set
I saw a really good suggestion that the Creaking should just _ignore_ armour altogether. This way it's still a threat when you encounter it fully armoured up but it also won't absolutely demolish new players who have never encountered it before
It’d be so cool to have butterflies in this biome- maybe sounding like rustling leaves when they flit around, and with a grey backing to their wings so that they’re camouflaged till they land on a tree and flutter- then it could like a Creaking’s Eye staring back at you

Bro seeing the creaking in the deep dark alongside the warden makes me want a deep dark variant of them where they’re made out of deepslate, their eyes are blue like soul fire and their creaking hearts generate inside the sculk
Creaking should be able to teleport when either you haven’t looked at it in a while or if you’ve been staring at it then look away, or if you are within 10 blocks and look away and it can teleport anywhere within the 32 block bubble of its heart, to get it unstuck from pits you trap it in, it will also immediately teleport if it is out of view and knows where the player is but cannot reach it also it’s eyes should be closed when frozen so it is much harder to actually see Also if you freeze it within 5 blocks of you it will teleport to somewhere you can’t see it and charge you until you glance at it, making angry sounds and twitching forcing you to spin and search watching the trees for the glowing orange eyes moving through the trees also once this triggers he tps regardless of distance when spotted repeating 3-7 times before teleporting far away from the player and losing aggro

The Pale Garden, the Mushroom fields, and the Deep Dark. Now we have 3 mob-proofed biomes, and finally a mob-proof biome that won't spawn overground as an island.
I feel like this update ABSOLUTELY has potential, but it needs two things: A huge buff to the creaking, not just by increasing its damage and speed, but also by having it close its eyes after it sees that you’re looking at it, so you can only catch a brief glimpse. Add some form of useful item(s). Currently all it adds is decoration and a way to troll your friends. Something like a block that emits a redstone signal when you look at it and/or a weapon that deals the same damage as a wooden sword, but deals triple damage if the enemy is looking away from you, and also decreases detection radius, would be AMAZING.
This biome looks cool, it would be nice if the water turns red like blood, the lava, dirt, and fire becomes gray, the eyes of the creaking are made red instead of orange, and a bunch of distorted tunes and glitch effects like black spots and unidentifiable structures happen when you enter the biome, no real music playing the entire time. Also they should make the biome A LOT larger and A LOT more rare to make the atmosphere work.
I completely forgot that there was a fog on the bedrock level. It made such a creepy vibe, I was always scared to dig that low. Mojang should definitely implement it in pale garden
The fog should be a tiny bit thicker (relatively low start point and further end point) than a 2 chunk render distance if it does end up being used in the pale gardens.
If mojang wanted to remove creaking distracting wardens, i think it would be hilarious if the creaking just ran away with their two little stick arms flailing in the air

One of the things they could do to make it spooky is what they did for the Warden.
