I have the same roof mount on my vehicle. I tested it out for continuity prior to having it installed thru the roof of the vehicle.
I also have NMO mounts through my roof. Previously I was using a NMO to SO239 adapter.
The actual mount for the Wilson antenna is much better.
    Everything tested out good.
I've had it on through 1 winter in Michigan. Lots of snow, lots of rain.
No leaks and it works great.
I also use a Wilson 1000 antenna on it for CB and 10 meter. (I have 2, one for each band.) No problems with my Wilson 1000 antennas.

Remember the rant I went on last week about mine ,, I briefly stated according to research they’re not made with the same quality , and lack of SWR testing before it leaves the factory ,, well ,, now you’re feeling my pain ,, it will work good ,, but the ATTENTION TO DETAIL TO MAKE IT RIGHT is up to folks like us ,, sorry you’ve had to deal with this like I did , I hope your stinger is long enough unlike mine ,, eventually I got mine to 1.2:1 or better across the band . But no thanks to the craftsmanship on the manufacturing process of whoever constructs these things . Give me a Wilson 5K from the year 2003 any day

Was about to buy one of these after hearing all the praise. Should I not get this? If not, what then? K-40?

This setup performs better than the K40.

I still have my magnet mount Wilson 1000. And antenna for it.... package dealer bought...1999. Or 2000.

Have you looked at the puck mounts from ICA manufacturing ? They are really nice and damn near indestructible

Hi. I looked to see if you made a video of you mounting this antenna on your Toyota and I didn't find it. Did you make a video? I want to mount one on my Toyota, but the roof doesn't seem to be thick enough to handle the weight of a wilson 1000 or stryker with a long whip. It's like the roof will bend or crinkle with the base moving back and forth from the wind or from hitting branches if mounted on the top of the vehicle. Did you encounter that with your Toyota if you mounted it on the roof? Thanks for the video!!!

I did a video on the wilson roof mount. Not a great video information wise as I didnt intend to film a how to.. The metal is very thin and that was due to where I wanted to mount it. The wilson 5000/1000 would be the largest antenna I would run at this time as the metal is so flimsy, When the weather gets getter I plan on installing a backing plate and some runners to allow me to run some bigger antennas. For now, I just use the 5000 for everyday driving then when I get parked I will swap out to my "fighting Stick" (7ft Skipshooter).

i intend to run a 12 pill in my car with a Wilson 5000. It will produce 3,300 watts PEP. Is it possible to change the coax to RG-213 on the magnamount and roof mount antennas ?

Hey there, I cannot find your email address. My question: how can I (one) know if one is cross-threading? Can you feel it iyour hand or fingers?😀

Wilson is owned by RoadPro company, RoadPro owns a bunch of companies . They make all kinds of CB products. And the quality is not there anymore.

Well hey count yourself luck that when you order something from Walcott or anything CB antenna related you receive it. I can hardly get anything shipped to me. I just give my access debit visa card info when ordering things and do not receive them and therefore loose money. A nver ending negative nightmare in Canada.😀😀😀😀😀
