You are VERY fortunate to have an electronics parts store in your city. Here in St. Louis we had around 20 back in the early 80’s. That doesn’t include RS btw. Today we have NONE. It really hurt bad when Gateway Electronics closed. They had great surplus parts and supplies. But all across the nation, hardware electronics stores have closed.

Always a good find in those five and dime joints, off the wall stuff galore. If there isn't an electronic dept in the store, retreat🏃💨💨💨💨💨

Hi there it looks like a marine radio is it vhf marine or hf marine radio in Australia we had a outback radio ssb l think it was a 100 watt transceiver audit was used for communications in the outback it was very expensive at the time and l think it could make telephone calls but not sure in the 1990s great video as always cheers

Cool find! I agree, that meter is awesome. I always felt lucky to have an electronics supply store nearby. They had all kinds of vintage components-just about anything you could need-and even a resale table where I picked up a few radios over the years. Unfortunately, about six months ago, I went by and found the doors closed and the place completely cleared out. Such a shame! I heard it was due to slow sales, as more people are buying online these days. Now, sadly, I’ll have to do the same.

Ill give you a few bucks for it !

not to get off course here but it would be really cool if you do a video on using your jump start pack to power your radios, what power are you running and how long will the pack last, i thought of using that same way to power my yeasu ft 891 hf radio at 50 watts, but wasn't sure if it would turn on, thanks KD9JRU

That was awesome show last night 390 doesn't matter views it what video counts more inside the radio room learn good stuff about cb radio hobby doing great things about it and bringing back old school tech making much your cb radio will be here it will outlast your cellphone the new generation needs be warn about ai bs stuff at least cb radio don't have ai inside there radios just like classic cars do everyday the way make them back in old days people need learn make there own classic cars and ultralights in there backyards they can learn something about it.

I have great idea for you channel 390 when get qsl card for cb radio we should called it cb radio QSL card show and tell day.

390 i sent my print out paper QSL cards today by snail air mail there is free site you can make them online print them out. you should be getting them in the airmail soon.

Wondering if it's the same mod as the 10 meter Anytone version? Or is it easy push buttons and turn it on like the GMRS version? If I could still see good and didn't shake so bad I would get the 10 meter version and do the mod but those days are over unfortunately...
