Apricot Jam - everyone’s favourite recipe, includes canning instructions

  • Apricot Jam
    Every year around July we make our favourite apricot jam.
    It’s so easy to make. Home made jam is better than store bought because you can control the quality of ingredients.
    Cook time: 45 minutes
    Yield: 15
    Ingredients:
    12 cups apricots
    5 cups white sugar
    1 tablespoon lime juice (optional- helps with pectin production. Use if apricots are too ripe)
    Equipment:
    Mason jars, lids and bands
    Metal rack
    Large pot
    Funnel
    Clean cloth
    Labels for jam
