Stop the Cap. McDonald’s defense in the first year was horrible early in the season. All those 10 point leads he had, even that Miami game, all came back to beat the Ravens. Ravens was good last year and he was looked at then as a good defensive coach and genius mind. All these knee jerk reaction makes no sense but that’s what emotionally unstable people do.

Todd Monken is underestimating Lamar’s downfield ball. Our Ravens don’t really have anyone who can stretch the field they better start running Zay vertically and get the rookie Deventoz Walker on the field to stretch the field and give Wallace some more burn at WR I believe he can help and doesn’t require the ball on every play. This is a receiver by committee type team I could be wrong but that’s how I feel and run king Henry more and use him in the pass game. The guard has to go . He’s huge but soft and slow

Good episode Kevin. Harbaugh isn’t going to be fired, he’s too good at 95% of head coaching which is a 7 days per week job. It’s the game time decision making that he’s terrible at. The answer is so obvious, but it needs to come from EDC/Bisciotti: He needs an assistant who’s a tactician to make the right calls. They won’t fire him, so this is the only answer.
They used Kyle to stop the run but when they switched to throwing Kyle should have been in the back or covering a WR. We lost that game because of the CB's. The raiders stopped running the ball because our defense wasn't letting them get any yardage. They switched their game plan and beat us in the air. Why didn't we switch our game plan to what they were doing? They knew Marlon was a weak link and constantly passed the ball to the WR he was covering. We were up ten points and lost. Because the CB's let the WR destroy them.
Their Defense is a Fraud. The Numbers are inflated due to the 2023 QB strength of Schedule. The Ravens Defensive Secondary was weak and slow but benefitted from the Strength of QB and the Defensive Scheme to Blitz the weaker QB's and yet they lost to Kenny Pickett 2 times, a to Kyle Trask and Gardner Minshew. KC exposed their Slow Defense and they lost some good defensive players: Jadeveon Clowney and Patrick Queen. The Ravens might finish last in the AFC North and you guys just buying into all the hype without taking a Macroanalytical evaluation of the Team.
Who's in charge of the challenge calls from the both? Even Lamar was telling him don't challenge that catch. He did it anyway. Those challenges and timeouts was wasted. We needed them at the end of the game to at least give us a shot to win. Lamar has been saving his job since 2018. I hate to say but I think its time to move on from Harbaugh. I'm not sure if we wait until the season is over or now. But if you do it now, you trust Monkton to run this team??
Defense looked just as bad as the offense. Sure they played well in the first half but played so bad in the second half their first half performance meant nothing. Marlon Humphrey couldn’t cover a bed with a blanket. Devante Adam’s made him look like a pee wee league player in the forth quarter. Pathetic display. Im a franchise long raven's fan and harbaugh has to go. I defended him for a long time but after 2022, even 2019, he shouldve been gone. And i like lamar but i see now why roman didnt let lamar call his own plays. All he does is try to throw. He's a good thrower, but not a great a thrower. He needs to be 50/50 at the least. But all he does is try to chuck the ball down the field or scramble and run it himself. We missed 2 superbowl windows because of that ldlocy. In 2019 they gave the game away by benching gus, last year they gave the game away by benching gus and throwing the ball to the point where it was beating a dead horse. Not to mention 2022 when the play called against the bengals was a QB sneak with a backup QB known for fumbling when we had a runningback known for never getting less than 1 yard when 1 yard was all we needed. There's no excuse for last year. And there's no excuse for us being 0-2 And poor justin tucker, they benched him to the point where he regressed in skill and now struggles to make 50 yarders. They need to start putting tucker out there more. I miss when it was "it wasnt pretty but it never is, we got the dub though and that's just us", to now it's "oh but lamar played really well that game, it's this person or that person's fault", idc who's fault it is, fix it. This is why i never wanted a superstar QB, our culture is being eroded and now our club wont listen to actual fans because they can subsist on lamar jersey sales no matter how pissed we get.

He is WR1 so I understand his point. I think Zay is going to pull a Hollywood. Zay has said he wants to do deep balls because that's what he did in college. Harbaugh likes turning his WR into running backs.

Monken Year 2 should be MUCH better than this. He isn't running much more than a college offense. There's no SYSTEM of attack and picking apart defenses. Zach Orr isn't looking good either, definitely not doing what McDonald was doing but it's his first year sooooo. Harbaugh's challenges were stupid but the underlying coordinator problems are the real issue. He's got some problems on his hands.

Who is the alleged ST guru whos units have been average or below for years, something that has rarely been the case in franchise history? Sub packages on both sides of the ball look random & forced no matter gamestate, we are one of the few teams allowing reurns longer than the touchback spot would be but still doing it, no correction to tuckers coreographed fg routine (hitch step & head nod before the snap every time) that may not be part of the missses but for sure has influnced the 50yd+ blocks, string of terrible OC hires etc. Cowboys fans called garret the hand clapper but harbaugh has taken that to a whole new level and is actively making the team worse with his decision making - consistent bad situational, timeout/challenge management, 4th down decision making etc

Marlon Humohries needs to focus on football instead of podcasting because his game has deteriorated dramatically. He was getting beat like a drum yesterday and was being son’d all day by their receivers and TE. Coach Zach Orr needs to stop rotating in so many db’s no continuity on the back end and give the sinoussi kid a shot . Williams at safety is not working in my opinion , Jackson’s either . No playmakers at safety there should have been a pick from safety position in these last two games

Stephens looked worse, to me.. or equally as bad, if anything. He always gets caught on, no matter how tight his coverage is. The WR's just go over him and catch it, almost every single time. Our WR's never do that.. practically because we don't have any that are tall enough but also because we never throw the ball to 1 on 1 covered WR's, like every other team does to us.
RAVEN FLOCK it's not the defense it the offense as a whole the head coach ,OC and offensive players has major internal issues . U can tell how the offense is being run that they don't hang out with each other outside of work there is no comradery on offense

Johns lack of game management experience and that hes not a play caller, has cost us so many critical losses over the years. Some of the really good teams we have fielded over the years, we should have multiple rings. Besides Mahomes, thats why KC is so great, because they are well coached. John Harbbaugh doesn’t have a clue what’s going on in the game not to mention Lamar has been saving this guy‘s job the whole time… Those two timeouts could’ve been really good for us at the end when Lamar was marching down the field if we don’t use those timeouts, we have them later on in the game take your time out make a play get us down to field kicker field goal overtime or score

Getting a new headcoach has to be THE major focus going into the off-season (starting right now to be honest). When the RAVENS went from Flacco to Lamar, it was a quick reset, not a rebuild; come to think about it, Lamar saved Harbaugh's job after sneaking us into the playoffs in 2018. If we have to gut the front office in order to move forward, then we just "gotta do what we gotta do." This 2024 season is already in jeopardy, it's SUPERBOWL or bust, not sneaking into the playoffs in WEEK 18 by having 2 other teams lose. It's not even officially FALL yet, and we are already in a MUST WIN game against DALLAS. This loss to VEGAS was monumental, it's bigger than the 2024 season. I'm already looking past this 2024 season and onto a fresh, new era of RAVENS football. If the RAVENS keep Harbaugh for another year, then I will never trust Biscotti's judgment. Harbaugh must go, not the front office, but Coach Harbaugh, IT MUST HAPPEN. If Belichick can get ran out of town, then Harbaugh can too!
Ed Reed said something about the Ravens defense. It was when he was on the team. He said that most Ravens defensive players do not study their play books. He said how can I depend on another player if that player isn't sure of the play. This team on defense and offense, both look like they do not study their own playbook. The offensive line doesn't know who to block on pass plays, or even know how to block for running plays.
Just a humble observation Bateman looked upset as the camera panned to him the series before he got the intercepted because he didn’t possess strong hands in the play, not Lamar’s fault. But Bateman strikes me as selfish. He’s like Stephon Digga without the game and wants it to be all about him. He doesn’t even get separation like that to complain truthfully. He’s a decent WR but not that guy . Bateman needs to realize he wears his feelings on his face and it says I’m not a team player and I’m selfish! Stop crying about touches and get open not a second open. Start really going to work on getting separation and know that it’s not always going to be a 10 catch day

Completely agree about the OL. Especially getting Rosengarten in a lot more. Also agree about Monken. These stats speak volumes abouy the play calling: Derrick Henry in 1st half - 7 carries for 5 yards Derrick Henry in 2nd half - 11 carries for 79 yards and a TD. Derrick Henry after Ravens go up by 10 points - 1 carry for 5 yards Also, the Raiders rookie TE had 3 more receptions than Andrews and Likely combined. It's like the coaches are determined to prove they can be a downfield passing team when they're not built that way.
When we look back, the inflection point will be letting Mike McDonald go...imho. McDonald took over a good Seattle team, not great, but not as good as the Ravens... & he is 2 - 0...while we are 0-2... and reasonably staring at 0-5!!! McDonald's defensive team... once it came together with the new DC and young players last year... was historically good and disciplined/ prepared/buttoned the fuck up!! That coach NEEDED to be kept, therefore, at almost any cost... his team was that fucking good! How good was he compared to Zack Orr ? Ravens are giving up 26.5 after the first two this year, and can't cover a slant pass, while essentially the same D personnel wise... gave up 13.5 pts a game in the playoffs to end last season!!! Orr's unpreparedness... cost us two timeouts against KC and seven points on a miscommunication - Each the difference in the game - and he let Adams step up at the end of the game... & beat us yesterday when Adams is the one guy he should have, at all hazards, taken away yesterday??? Not saying that Orr won't put a good D on the field, EVENTUALLY, but our defensive team has gone backwards in the extreme in discipline and preparedness (at this point) from what McDonald gave it... To me, right now... Zack Orr is losing us games as much as Harbaugh is... I understand the focus on Harbaugh, but no one is talking about the fact that for the Ravens to have won both of the first two games, they'd have needed 27 points in each game due to the poor defense - from what was a great defense. I live in Louisville and went to school there so I adopted the Ravens as my team when they drafted Lamar. Basically my whole family are huge Ravens fans now (I was always a huge football junkie and played when I was young but we never had a team in KY). Anyways my mother who knows nothing about football ALWAYS comments how Harbaugh looks apathetic or like he doesn’t care on the sidelines. I never noticed it but I saw him kicking the grass at one point yesterday 😂. He’s not really an X and Os coach and doesn’t really have a system and he isn’t motivating players IMO, he can’t manage games or call challenges correctly, so what DOES HE DO?

There is a very good chance this team will be 1-4 or even 0-5 in three weeks . The season at that point will be over , and the heat will be turned up on high . I think a little of the blame has to be on Eric Decosta for not wanting to pay Kevin Zeitler , and rolling the dice on unproven , inexperienced players . This decision has really cost us , and I cannot see the right side of the O line getting much better this season . And we kept hearing in the pre season the srtength of this team is the deep and talented secondary . Giving up close to 300 yards to the great Minshew , is an absolute embarrassment and a disgrace , especially since you made the Raiders one dimensional and still could not stop them .
John Harbaugh has never been the head coach he was made out to be. I listened to all the hype from day one and never saw what people said. We are bargain basement dealers never going after the top players. We let go of a lot of talent and always blamed it on the salary cap. The salary cap is something every team has to deal with, yet they spend the money and the Ravens don't.
Defense is not as good as last season because you don't have the same players. Why are fans so obtuse. The defense was never going to be as good as last season. You guys are living in the past. New players plus new defensive coordinator, do you really thought they would be as good?

Harbaugh has created a culture of nice guys giving hugs, saying I love you, and dont hurt feelings with real conversations. Wont bring in adequate competition so players dont feel insecure with their position on the team. Humphrey, Mekari, Malik Harrison. Smh but year after year the coach and edc tells these guys there starters in the league. 3rd string on another team lets be honest. 🗑 offensive line..didnt really replace anyone that matched Zeitler and Moses play with a veteran free agent. A lot of games can come down to 1 play. We had a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter, but that Brandon Stephens PI really sucked for us and gave them hope. I think we just got too comfortable and thought this would be an easy win. Minshew normally garbage, but they had some big plays with Devante. Some big defensive plays, too. Some games just go like that, some pretty flukey stuff happened in that fourth quarter. I'm not blaming John or anybody; Raiders just stepped up and we got shook. Gotta play hard all four quarters no matter who it is. Caught with our pants down.
Let's not forget, special teams is also to blame!! 2 missed field goals and a short punt at the worst possible time gave the raiders excellent field position

Why didn't we switch our game plan to what they were doing? They knew Marlon was a weak link and constantly passed the ball to the WR he was covering. We were up ten points and lost. Their Defense is a Fraud. The Numbers are inflated due to the 2023 QB strength of Schedule. The Ravens Defensive Secondary was weak and slow but benefitted from the Strength of QB and the Defensive Scheme to Blitz the weaker QB's and yet they lost to Kenny Pickett 2 times, a to Kyle Trask and Gardner Minshew. KC exposed their Slow Defense and they lost some good defensive players: Jadeveon Clowney and Patrick Queen. The Ravens might finish last in the AFC North and you guys just buying into all the hype without taking a Macroanalytical evaluation of the Team.

Im a franchise long raven's fan and harbaugh has to go. I defended him for a long time but after 2022, even 2019, he shouldve been gone.

He's a good thrower, but not a great a thrower. He needs to be 50/50 at the least. But all he does is try to chuck the ball down the field or scramble and run it himself.
We missed 2 superbowl windows because of that ldlocy.
In 2019 they gave the game away by benching gus, last year they gave the game away by benching gus and throwing the ball to the point where it was beating a dead horse.
Not to mention 2022 when the play called against the bengals was a QB sneak with a backup QB known for fumbling when we had a runningback known for never getting less than 1 yard when 1 yard was all we needed.

Sub packages on both sides of the ball look random & forced no matter gamestate, we are one of the few teams allowing reurns longer than the touchback spot would be but still doing it, no correction to tuckers coreographed fg routine (hitch step & head nod before the snap every time) that may not be part of the missses but for sure has influnced the 50yd+ blocks, string of terrible OC hires etc. Cowboys fans called garret the hand clapper but harbaugh has taken that to a whole new level and is actively making the team worse with his decision making - consistent bad situational, timeout/challenge management, 4th down decision making etc
This should be a sign that most of the fans have a better idea of how our offense and defense should be playing and this seems like the coaches do

Stephens looked worse, to me.. or equally as bad, if anything. He always gets caught on, no matter how tight his coverage is. The WR's just go over him and catch it, almost every single time. Our WR's never do that.. practically because we don't have any that are tall enough but also because we never throw the ball to 1 on 1 covered WR's, like every other team does to us.

Getting a new headcoach has to be THE major focus going into the off-season (starting right now to be honest). When the RAVENS went from Flacco to Lamar, it was a quick reset, not a rebuild; come to think about it, Lamar saved Harbaugh's job after sneaking us into the playoffs in 2018. If we have to gut the front office in order to move forward, then we just "gotta do what we gotta do." This 2024 season is already in jeopardy, it's SUPERBOWL or bust, not sneaking into the playoffs in WEEK 18 by having 2 other teams lose. It's not even officially FALL yet, and we are already in a MUST WIN game against DALLAS.
This loss to VEGAS was monumental, it's bigger than the 2024 season. I'm already looking past this 2024 season and onto a fresh, new era of RAVENS football. Ed Reed said something about the Ravens defense. It was when he was on the team. He said that most Ravens defensive players do not study their play books. He said how can I depend on another player if that player isn't sure of the play. This team on defense and offense, both look like they do not study their own playbook. The offensive line doesn't know who to block on pass plays, or even know how to block for running plays.
Just a humble observation Bateman looked upset as the camera panned to him the series before he got the intercepted because he didn’t possess strong hands in the play, not Lamar’s fault. But Bateman strikes me as selfish. He’s like Stephon Digga without the game and wants it to be all about him. He doesn’t even get separation like that to complain truthfully. He’s a decent WR but not that guy . Bateman needs to realize he wears his feelings on his face and it says I’m not a team player and I’m selfish! Stop crying about touches and get open not a second open. Start really going to work on getting separation and know that it’s not always going to be a 10 catch day

Completely agree about the OL. Especially getting Rosengarten in a lot more. Also agree about Monken. These stats speak volumes abouy the play calling:
Derrick Henry in 1st half - 7 carries for 5 yards
Derrick Henry in 2nd half - 11 carries for 79 yards and a TD.
Derrick Henry after Ravens go up by 10 points - 1 carry for 5 yards
Also, the Raiders rookie TE had 3 more receptions than Andrews and Likely combined.
It's like the coaches are determined to prove they can be a downfield passing team when they're not built that way.

When we look back, the inflection point will be letting Mike McDonald go...imho.
McDonald took over a good Seattle team, not great, but not as good as the Ravens... & he is 2 - 0...while we are 0-2... and reasonably staring at 0-5!!!
McDonald's defensive team... once it came together with the new DC and young players last year... was historically good and disciplined/ prepared/buttoned the fuck up!!
That coach NEEDED to be kept, therefore, at almost any cost... his team was that fucking good!
How good was he compared to Zack Orr ?
Ravens are giving up 26.5 after the first two this year, and can't cover a slant pass, while essentially the same D personnel wise... gave up 13.5 pts a game in the playoffs to end last season!!!
Orr's unpreparedness... cost us two timeouts against KC and seven points on a miscommunication - Each the difference in the game - and he let Adams step up at the end of the game... & beat us yesterday when Adams is the one guy he should have, at all hazards, taken away yesterday???
Not saying that Orr won't put a good D on the field, EVENTUALLY, but our defensive team has gone backwards in the extreme in discipline and preparedness (at this point) from what McDonald gave it...
To me, right now... Zack Orr is losing us games as much as Harbaugh is...
I understand the focus on Harbaugh, but no one is talking about the fact that for the Ravens to have won both of the first two games, they'd have needed 27 points in each game due to the poor defense - from what was a great defense.
Harbs... I said at the time... should have been moved to the front office & McDonald named HC... I think you said the same, too, Kevin...
That's complacency & that's the worst thing that can hit an organization...

3) Also... you have to remember the Ravens modus operandi when they pay big money to a qb: They make the qb win games without much help because he got the big money.
Remember... they did this to Flacco. After he got paid... he got nothing at the pass catching position & started to throw the ball much more than he had before he got the 120 million record contract!
It was written in stone statistically that the Ravens won like 75% or more when Flacco threw 30 times and under, but after he got paid, he started throwing over 34, 35 times, maybe more, a game and the Ravens became mediocre for a few years, as a result...
LJ8 wanted the money and got it.... and the Ravens took away experienced O Linemen. Essentially putting the O even more on his shoulders... like what was done to Flacco...
That's what the Ravens do!

I live in Louisville and went to school there so I adopted the Ravens as my team when they drafted Lamar. Basically my whole family are huge Ravens fans now (I was always a huge football junkie and played when I was young but we never had a team in KY).
Anyways my mother who knows nothing about football ALWAYS comments how Harbaugh looks apathetic or like he doesn’t care on the sidelines. I never noticed it but I saw him kicking the grass at one point yesterday 😂. He’s not really an X and Os coach and doesn’t really have a system and he isn’t motivating players IMO, he can’t manage games or call challenges correctly, so what DOES HE DO?
Todd Monken doesn’t understand how to utilize and maximize the talent he has in my humble opinion.

@@jeanpaul7223 they need to get stops and score points and right now they’re not scoring enough points, so in my opinion Todd Monken is hurting them that doesn’t mean he needs to get fired but he has to level up. Garbs is a real good coach but he can’t play the game for the players
Monken made jamies a 5000 yd passer and turned georgia into a dynasty. Is it the 8th OCs fault or the guy hiring them/putting his input on the gameplan?

Is everyone forgetting that the last punt to the Raiders was absolutely horrifying? My face looked like Richard Sherman when Russ had that pick years ago. Just pain.
There is a very good chance this team will be 1-4 or even 0-5 in three weeks . The season at that point will be over , and the heat will be turned up on high . I think a little of the blame has to be on Eric Decosta for not wanting to pay Kevin Zeitler , and rolling the dice on unproven , inexperienced players . This decision has really cost us , and I cannot see the right side of the O line getting much better this season . And we kept hearing in the pre season the srtength of this team is the deep and talented secondary . Giving up close to 300 yards to the great Minshew , is an absolute embarrassment and a disgrace , especially since you made the Raiders one dimensional and still could not stop them .
John Harbaugh has never been the head coach he was made out to be. I listened to all the hype from day one and never saw what people said. We are bargain basement dealers never going after the top players. We let go of a lot of talent and always blamed it on the salary cap. The salary cap is something every team has to deal with, yet they spend the money and the Ravens don't.

Defense is not as good as last season because you don't have the same players. Why are fans so obtuse. The defense was never going to be as good as last season. You guys are living in the past. New players plus new defensive coordinator, do you really thought they would be as good?

Something needs to be done with those OL or this will be the story of the season...I was really stumped on why we didn't bring atleast Kevin Zietler back, I believe he even said he would come back for less money and I also believe Ben Cleveland needs to be in at RG
Ravens need to use Derek Henry appropriately, clock management, predictability on the offensive and defensive end. Blitz, change coverages, help Simpson move around, right-side of OL needs adjustment/manpower change.

Harbaugh has created a culture of nice guys giving hugs, saying I love you, and dont hurt feelings with real conversations. Wont bring in adequate competition so players dont feel insecure with their position on the team. Humphrey, Mekari, Malik Harrison. Smh but year after year the coach and edc tells these guys there starters in the league. 3rd string on another team lets be honest. 🗑 offensive line..didnt really replace anyone that matched Zeitler and Moses play with a veteran free agent. We're good with the guys we have🙄
A lot of games can come down to 1 play. We had a 10 point lead in the 4th quarter, but that Brandon Stephens PI really sucked for us and gave them hope. I think we just got too comfortable and thought this would be an easy win. Minshew normally garbage, but they had some big plays with Devante. Some big defensive plays, too. Some games just go like that, some pretty flukey stuff happened in that fourth quarter. I'm not blaming John or anybody; Raiders just stepped up and we got shook. Gotta play hard all four quarters no matter who it is. Caught with our pants down.
Let's not forget, special teams is also to blame!! 2 missed field goals and a short punt at the worst possible time gave the raiders excellent field position

I commented to you, Zach and Ryan about 6 weeks ago, that the Ravens would be lucky to win 10 games this year. I said at the time I hope I'm wrong, but right now, it sure looks like I'll be right.

Think we missed nate out there just to ease some pressure off the other outside corners and we need to get Kyle out the slot keep him deep to stop those long passes. I think the injuries to nate and maulet hurt us in this one
Maybe Harbs is readybto move on. Some of his game time decisions just scream, "I WANT TO BE FIRED!!"
