I’m so glad I bought a Nintendo Switch Lite, just before the COVID-19 lockdown. I downloaded this video game for my Switch Lite and can’t even stop playing it!
Its weird how they take some things out of the Arcade but add other things. Like they took out the smashing glass at the end of the race but then added takedowns to the Switch version.
Unfortunately due to hardware limitations on the Switch, Raw Thrills had no choice but sacrifice a few graphical models and lighting effects to make sure the game runs smoothly.
I just couldn't believe that after all these years, nintendo still has to downgrade a few things to make the game playable. Fast RMX has better visuals (in my opinion).
Yeah there was a a lot of things they took out from the Switch version, The Environmental effects on the Arcade mode were taken out were downgraded a bit like the Dinosaurs in the Madagascar stage from the Arcade Mode, they added them on the trail missions instead, the Checkpoints were taken out or removed, and the chanting people im the beginning were removed either way the game plays great
Things that were different: Death Valley: 1: The livestock was moved off the track, due to keeping the game family-friendly. 2: When you get close to the railroad crossing, the lights don't flash. 3: The burning tires are gone. 4: in the arcade version, the train blows his horn twice when the race starts, and when you catch up to him before turning left, he blows the horn again, but it's a bit longer. Madagascar: 1: The abandoned boat is already destroyed. In the arcade, you smash right through it. 2: Less effects with water and dirt, and the passengers hanging on the cars are gone. London: The second tunnel is blocked. And at the beginning, there are no fans on either side. Rio De Janeiro: The parade floats that you smash through are moved to the left. Singapore: At the beginning, traffic can be seen on the bottom, but it's not moving, the helicopter that gets struck by lightning and crashes into a building is gone, the building that crashes down isn't there, and the Clarke Quay sign does not get destroyed by lightning. Others: 1: The checkpoint system is completely gone. 2: The song "Let Me Stay" (Heard on RDJ) was removed, and is replaced by Life Is So Good (Track from London) 3: The announcer/driver commentary isn't heard at all.
They removed a couple of things in this version 1. The Dinosaurs on the Madagascar level 2. The narrator during the race 3. And a few cars that are only playable on the arcade version I guess Nintendo did that to get people to still play the arcade version maybe because I still like the arcade version because of the Madagascar level.
Man still waiting on my copy... should be picking it up Thursday finally. Cant believe how hard it is to find in my area really disappointed in that as I had hoped for it to sell well ..
Game looks cool! A little disappointed as a fan of arcade classics that the arcade mode seems different compared to the actual arcade with the addition of the speed arrows. I get it that the switch version wanted to add to the original arcade experience and I bet it’s still a blast to play, but I would rather have seen a 1:1 arcade port for the arcade mode and then save all the extra features for the other game modes. Any chance you can tweak a few options to make it as close to the arcade as possible? Thanks for the upload! I’d still love to add this one to my collection😄👍
@@Nelson79ARG meh i dunno, it should at least have a timer since its not skill based and is a consistency and stunts based racing game, plus without the timer, i feel like theyre breaking the main tradition of arcades, TO HAVE A TIMER.

Cruis'n Blast looks awesome. I hope we see a Cruis'n compilation game down the road.
I gotta say this is a really good arcade port of this game, they should have more arcade ports from other arcades like they did back in 90s.

Takedowns were also in the arcade version, but they simply blew up then without no use of a takedown camera

The classic tracks give me Split/Second and Motorstorm Apocalypse vibes!
Esspecially the death valley tornados and rolling london ferris wheel that the Boardwalk has in Motorstorm Apocalypse
Such a fun game! Been awhile since I played an arcade racer that good!
Very disappointing that the commentary for obstacles and sights are not there, it feels kind of incomplete without them.
They can always update
awesome GAME

I want this game but I can't find it in my country Chile:(
Nice vid I hope they add online to this game.

I also miss the Lamborghini cars
The arrows on the tracks you drive over were copied over from Super Bikes 3, along with four of its race tracks.
Increíble.
Checkpoint!!???? Coments??
both are gone, but the game didnt even have a timer so its senseless if youre adding a checkpoint

I believe licensing issues were the reason the Lambos were removed in the Switch port.
