- The Fast and the Furious Tokyo DRIFT is the sequel to the best selling racing game "Fast and the Furious" of the 21st century. Fast and the Furious DRIFT features 12 fully licensed exotic cars, and 7 new Japanese tracks in addition to all 12 original tracks from The Fast and the Furious, all in a hot new cabinet. Players now have the ability to upgrade their car by adding credits to mod their ride even faster. For an additional credit players get two upgrades and of course the players can save and view their cars and upgrades in an all new stats screen.
Players can modify their cars and convert them into sleeker and faster racing machines with the option to upgrade. With additional credits, players can get 2 upgrades and, of course, can save and view their cars and upgrades in an all new stats screen.

There was always that one dude that was insanely good at the game and using the profile with all the upgrades
I pretty much have the dominant scores on a cabinet at some arcade on the beach and no matter how good you are the AI will still rubber band like crazy making it near impossible to win.
Fun fact: all kanji on banners shown in game are composed with random characters that doesn't make any sense.

They had 3 of these at a local roller skating rink in my hometown and holy shit the amounts of nostalgia are insane. I used to go there for the entire summer and got 25 tokens each day and instead of blowing them on games where I could win prizes I would play this damn game because it was so addicting... I loved it... I miss it... I want it...
These tracks are pretty accurate to the movie I love it

When i was 5 years old I was playing fast and furious tokyo drift arcade cause my eyes feels like the race cars it lights up with neon cars I race all day at the city
@@syahminorizan8064 In fact, Need for Speed Underground: The Arcade was made by Global VR, not Raw Thrills, which only made Fast and Furious arcade games. So Need for Speed is not in the same series as Fast and Furious.

It looks like it runs on the same exact engine as Crusin' but with (sorta) sophisticated car customization
I can't believe Arcade1Up is releasing this cabinet (with both Fast & The Furious arcade and this one)

I love the first one and the with the bikes more, but this is very good and nostalgic too.
Wheelie can let you do a backflip during the jump or behind the traffic.
Just once I'd like to see someone do a let's play of this game (or Super Cars) where they didn't put on all the upgrades at the start.

Ya boi has got all the highscores and the majority of the top 10 lap times on every circuit ;) like seriously as it scrolls through the lap times at 0:21 it says is my name for all of the 10 for almost every track XD

Looks like they took a random arcade game and but a F&F label on it. What's even going on there? Lava, volcanos, dragon ghosts flying around? Can't remeber that from the Tokio Drift movie.

These games were basically the successors to Cruis'n before they brought it back to arcades in 2017. They just used the F&F license because it was big at the time. Even the Wii port of the first game was called Cruis'n, not Fast & Furious.
I do remember playing F&F Tokyo Drift, at the Laser Tag, inside Tri-County Mall.

Wow I forgot how bad the rubber band was in arcade racers. Especially since the player has maxed out stats and it's the first race. In with a quarter out with bitter frustration. 😠

@@ggezlel Arcade racing games were designed for the AI to always keep up with you or stay ahead of you no matter how good you are. That is what rubber banding is in games. Its to help guarantee you lose the race and thereby spend more money to keep playing.
