Hello, any way you can help me? I’m using the same printer but I wanna do sublimation.. how do I know when they are completely empty ? What if a little bit of water stays in the carts after I fill with sublimation ink ?
Hi so for dtf would I need to clean the carts with the solution? I bought the DTF kit from big boi and it has a hard cleaning and a light cleaning solution or would I just clean the carts until it’s clear and at 14 grams then add the ink?
@@CustomDesignPress thank you for the response, i appreciate your assistance. So the main purpose of the cleaning carts is if you are not going to print for a week (vacation) or overnight?

Question for you. I bought the xp 15000 and did the initial set up with the original inks like they say to do. I now have the oem carts filled with dtf ink and ready to install. But does it matter that the pads in the printer under gray amd red have the original ink on them? Since white will be going in those slots should I clean the pads in the printer or doesn't that matter
I don’t normally initialize with original inks. I do it with dtf inks already filled in the oem carts. But you can put cleaning solution in the capping station and do a head clean. Run the head clean with dtf ink carts in the printer.
@Custom Design Press LLC Thank you. Last thing. Everything is installed and good to go. Printed a logo with blue amd black. Blue is amazing. Black printed out looking green? Is this is setting I need to change? This is like the last thing before I cam start printing and it's driving me crazy 🤪
Can you clarify something for me? If you were to use DTF ink, wouldn't it mix with the water in there since you're not completely emptying the cartridge? At the end, you're only withdrawing about 10ml of the water before putting in the cleaning solution. So if you used DTF ink instead of the solution, isn't there too much water in there?
@@kriscoward5666 If you are using an XP15000 yes, you will need chipless firmware installed. If you need an activation code, let me know, I can save you $5 off.

You just need to flush out the OEM ink and fill it with dtf inks
Do you run the head clean with the cleaner carts if you have a major clog?
It depends. I’ll run the cleaning carts but will focus more on pushing inks into the head so will use dtf carts more often
