Thanks. I just switched to android (Samsung flip 5) from iOS for the last 15 years. Love it! Personalization was one of my top 3 reasons to switch. Cheers.
Tried a heap of launchers, including the one's mentioned here and always come back to Nova. It can be made as minimalist or as heavy as you like - add in KWLP and it is perfect.
@@singspirations021the new v8 does support gestures. Works perfectly on my friend's android 13 phone but doesn't work on my Samsung a20 android 11. I think you need at least android 12 for it. (Not sure)
I use to use Nova launcher since my pixel 2 XL. I changed over to Niagara since S22 ultra and haven't looked back. Paid for life time and it was totally worth it. Such a great minimal launcher that just works.
my first launcher was nova launcher on my android version 4.4 KitKat, really it changes the whole look of my home screen setup this launcher was ahead of its time. now i use niagara launcher as i am minimal user.
Love Niagara and tried AP15 and KISS. Not bad launchers. Minimalist is amazing and can look just like Niagara. One you didn't mention is Flow Launcher. It is really good.
We continue to develop Before Launcher...for Pro about $6 (not $60) but even better: the free version is jam-packed with features. Minimalist, privacy-centered, no ads and never, ever a subscription.
Niagara, with PopUps (Folders) and stackable Widgets even in these Folders are also a unique Feature. Tried so many launchers but i always come Back to Niagara.
I guess it's a bit of the oppostie of a minimalist launcher, but I'm really enjoying the AIO Launcher. It gives similar vibes to a minimalist in the sense that ytou only see the most useful apps, but packed with features.Hope to see you make another review of it!
I've been using Befor Launcher for years now, I love its simplicity and minimal design. Also, its notification priority system cuts down on screen time. But I might give Niagra a try soon.
Might have to give Niagara a try, I've been using Nova for ages. Also, hell yeah, Cure by Erra is such a good record. Sick seeing it make an appearance.
As for normal launchers, Nova Launcher (and its Prime version) as well as Lawnchair (like Nova, but open source and some features missing, I think) are good as well.
The lack of meaningful backup support and minimal bulk customization options keep me from swapping to Niagara full time. I used to use it full time but ended up swapping phones which forced me to need to completely redo all of my customizations and folders which killed the launcher for me
I'm still rocking Total launcher, I love to fully customize my homescreen and because I still use the old and deleted multipicture live wallpaper app it works great with the launcher I can make the widget hidden on the swipe gesture, so it can be empty to show the wallpaper
just tried niagra and the most powerful feature seems to be customizing popups. for my email in the favorites list, i added the email widget so swiping it will bring it up along with the typical shortcuts. for apple music i added the recently played widget.
I have multiple launchers on my phone for different things like social media, music, games, home screen, etc... I use them kind of like folders, except way more advanced. For example, I am currently using Niagara for my home screen, Nova for social media, and Hyperion for games.
I tried Minimalist Launcher and like its ideas of reminding and delaying opening, but Niagara is still my fav. I've been using Niagara and Sesame for 3 years now.
Didn't expect to see ERRA on the music player Hope this video helps me decide. Nova was giving me issues even before everyone left development of it so I'm looking for something new
It's definitely a must have for large folding phones but otherwise it falls short. Counters (little red circle with number) don't appear on the app icons. The margins are too large around the edges (my custom calendar widget needs two lines to display event titles much more than stock OneUI or Nova Launcher). And no vertical stacking of custom widgets. Ideally I'd like to have two vertical slots for custom widgets that can also optionally stack horizontally too.
Niagara is by far the best, even better than the stock Pixel launcher, which is quite boring. Kvaesitso launcher has a lot of potential, but Niagara's one-screen layout is more convenient.
I compromised with myself and got a pixel with minimalist instead of a light phone 2, and honestly its the best. I have a smartphone with security but dumn and not distracting.
Windows Phone metro tabs were the best and I've used android versions. Win8 launcher was the best but no longer supported so using another one. All your apps arranged how you want on the home screen, and swipe right to an a-z app list. I have about 25 apps on the home screen with the most used closest to my thumb. There isn't a faster navigation system. Easy, infinitely customisable. Long live windows phone!!
Agree! I loved the windows phone, I think I still have an old Lumia (right?) in a drawer somewhere lol. Just curious, I am familiar with Win8 but which one are you using currently?
I love Niagara even if it's only been a few days since I started using it but it has an issue. It takes a long time to load if you switch profiles. I noticed that issues when I created profiles to separate work from socials and from the rest and there is a loading time each time I switch, which can be a problem. KISS doesn't have this issue at all, it's always fast.
They should add a toggle so that you can have a proper vertical scrolling app tray if you want one And I don't mean the half baked so called solution that was in Good Lock at one time either
I've been binging the 2010 Irish TV series Love/Hate and you're the spitting image of one the main characters, Nidge, played by Tom Vaughan-Lawlor. Unless actor was another part of your mysterious past, along with journalist and author?
Notice how they all use the android buttons? They lack real gesture support as when you install them there is a noticeable lag when using gestures and flicking between home screen and recent apps. This is because android broke gesture support for 3rd party launchers years ago.
Depends on manufacturer. For instance, using launcher on xiaomi is a trash experience indeed. On the other hand, Samsung still lets you use gestures with 3rd party launchers! At least on my 6.0 oneUi version that's still true. Glory to Samsung! 🎉
Nova works absolutely fine on my S23 Ultra, no issues at all with gestures or anything else. They also worked perfectly well on my previous Pixel 6, it's mostly the Chinese phones that don't allow gesture support
i think emui with ios theme is the best for me, idk why but maybe the big icon (i set in 5 x 6) and the color of icon make it easier to remember. yeah i'm 21y'o but My habits on a smartphone are like an old man 😅
I use a launcher (Lawnchair) to maintain a consistent UI on my phone. Don't like the silly things that Google change in every release, things I never asked for...
Niagara is still my favorite!
is that a bayagara reference
yep me too
Just found out about this. Just downloaded it on really like it
Mee also
Its trash lol.
ever since i found out about niagara i've been blessed, such an amazing launcher Simple and clean been using it for a 5 months so far
Thanks. I just switched to android (Samsung flip 5) from iOS for the last 15 years. Love it! Personalization was one of my top 3 reasons to switch. Cheers.
Thank you uncle spurt. I installed Niagara after seeing this video, yesterday. Loved it.
Been enjoying Niagara on my S24U. Keeps in clean and simple.
The biggest mistake i made is buying iphone.
Yeah you did.. it's actually common sense..
Sorry for your lose.
Hahaha 😂
But iphone also costom home screen 🎉
Sell it before it traps you in their ecosystem
😅😅😅😅
Tried a heap of launchers, including the one's mentioned here and always come back to Nova. It can be made as minimalist or as heavy as you like - add in KWLP and it is perfect.
I use NOVA LAUNCHER since I dont remember.. And for me is the best for all my needs..
Im verry older with nova launcher n°1 for me
Meu vivo iqooo 11 pro não aceita a nova launcher 😢
Nova launcher didn't support gestures. Sadly. But this was my favorite ever since it was launched
@@singspirations021the new v8 does support gestures. Works perfectly on my friend's android 13 phone but doesn't work on my Samsung a20 android 11. I think you need at least android 12 for it. (Not sure)
I had been using Nova since 2016 until I discovered Niagara, I'm not sure I'll ever look back.
I used Niagara based on your recommendation since last year oe two. Still using it now 👍🏻

1:33 it's misleading showing minimal launcher screen as Niagra launcher.
Do more launcher videos!

Everyone seem to be sleep on Before Launcher.

How much impact does Niagara has on battery? I am tempted to try it
I switched from Nova Prime to Lawnchair 14 beta and am loving it! ❤
Lawnchair is the shit !
This was an option I haven't considered. Niagara looks interesting
I've been using it for years, takes a wee bit of getting used to but it's so quick and fluid once you're into it. It's options now are amazing.
As for normal launchers, Nova Launcher (and its Prime version) as well as Lawnchair (like Nova, but open source and some features missing, I think) are good as well.

all this launchers, how much extra battery do they suck against the phone default one?
mininalist launcher is good but olauncher is the same and free...much better
Nova Launcher on day 1 always. Disable all animations make the phone faster than the flash.
How to set other language on Nova launcher?
Before Launcher is the best I’ve found by far. I love how minimal it is and simply to use. Definitely recommended.
I'm still rocking Total launcher, I love to fully customize my homescreen and because I still use the old and deleted multipicture live wallpaper app it works great with the launcher
I can make the widget hidden on the swipe gesture, so it can be empty to show the wallpaper
The minimalist launcher looks superbe 🥵
Does anyone know: Can you unlock the time-out before it's over? Or is it safe?

That's pretty cool, I never thought of doing that.
@@zacfromArkansas Me neither, it kind of just hit me when I had like 7 launchers installed on my phone one time lol.
Olauncher is my favourite because it's so simple
And free and open source and no ads and no data collection and daily wallpapers 😃
Good taste in music!
I got lucky with mine then, I only pay like 4 dollars a year for it.....well worth it honestly.....you won't even notice 4 dollars like ever....
nice videos, big fan of your videos from Nigeria
Me too. It's an amazing country with an exceptional number of wealthy princes searching for relatives all around the world
I tried Minimalist Launcher and like its ideas of reminding and delaying opening, but Niagara is still my fav. I've been using Niagara and Sesame for 3 years now.
What is the phone your using?
Yo, what's the second launcher you showed in the thumbnail? The anime one.
I'm guessing it's Yasan launcher after set-up. Just a guess though
Didn't expect to see ERRA on the music player
Hope this video helps me decide. Nova was giving me issues even before everyone left development of it so I'm looking for something new

Been using Before launcher for over a year now. Glad to have different options, though it's worked really nicely for me and I like the UI/look
Does it work well or work on tablets? I got Samsung tab s9 ultra
... though I would probably never get one, I really dig your launcher videos ...
It reminds me of Nokia s launcher ,forgot the name...but this is so much better I think..
Niagara launcher been my go-to launcher for like a year. and with the icon update customization is super easy.
Have been using Niagara for three years now....don't plan on stopping
¿Por qué?
Before Launcher is my absoluuute favorite launcher. Great customization options, excellent user group support. Not profit driven.A+++
Niagara is by far the best, even better than the stock Pixel launcher, which is quite boring. Kvaesitso launcher has a lot of potential, but Niagara's one-screen layout is more convenient.
O launcher is pretty dope, too
Do these save ram/battery usage too?
Can bookmarked (save to phone) sites be added to Niagara?
Name of this phone??
What is your mobile model?
I compromised with myself and got a pixel with minimalist instead of a light phone 2, and honestly its the best. I have a smartphone with security but dumn and not distracting.
What phone is that? I like the square edges, is it waterproof ? Please don't be a slow charging Samsung
If there’s a way to get the iOS emojis on droid, I’ll switch tomorrow.

How do you set up the in app timer with niagara?
I always try launchers but end up right back using the stock launchers for my phones.
That's the beauty of Android:
Options and freedom for everyone.
I am still using Niagara Pro launcher on my S24 Ultra. Personally, the best launcher I have ever used. I just like the one page design.
AP15 looks neat :D

Is that Redmi Note 12 pro??
What's your thoughts on stock Samsung 'launcher'?
They should add a toggle so that you can have a proper vertical scrolling app tray if you want one
And I don't mean the half baked so called solution that was in Good Lock at one time either
Still using nova launcher.
lol I subscribed as soon as I saw your Spotify music
Asking £60 for an app that intentionally has very few features is wild 😂
Good thing it's only £6 in some regions. 😂
Why no one is talking about ratio launcher nowadays?
Still incapable of backing up data like Nova launcher. Unless they added it now.
yeah l, ive been rocking nigara launcher for the past year, i love its simplicity
You reminded me of Niagara launcher, so I just switched back to it. 😎
Is the Time Limit of an app an option on the stable release of Niagra? I can't find it anywhere.
Just worked this out, long press an app then press screen time. The top box says app timer
Is there a way to add more than 8 favourites? Also, can you make your own section on Niagara, like a second favourites?
yes, i just added 9
Niagara & Ratio Launcher are the best waiting for updates on both
Niagara is king
I have it on all my phones but the redmi note 12 because it won't let me use gesture navigation with third party launchers
My preference rests at the maximalist variety. "Pear Launcher" is good!
Niagara is unbeatably beautiful and it's one of the only apps I'd happily pay the premium for
That fluff was the star of the video
I've been binging the 2010 Irish TV series Love/Hate and you're the spitting image of one the main characters, Nidge, played by Tom Vaughan-Lawlor. Unless actor was another part of your mysterious past, along with journalist and author?

@@parshakamarshNo issues with all my LG phones as well. It really is an issue for those that were made by Chinese manufacturers. 😅
Gestures work perfectly with One Hand Operation +.
0:50 Erra? You are more cultured than I thought.
i think emui with ios theme is the best for me, idk why but maybe the big icon (i set in 5 x 6) and the color of icon make it easier to remember.
yeah i'm 21y'o but My habits on a smartphone are like an old man 😅
Windows Phone was one of the best minimal launchers.
I think it is the first video without the Nova Launcher. I used the ap15 launcher before getting the 13 mini.
How to set other language on Nova launcher?
I keep coming back to Niagara
Surprised to see you listen to Erra! Didn't expect it from you
Smart launcher is the best. It's the most customizable. I like square launcher.
It's like living in a happy village. Thank you , neighbours, for your community support.
Erra - good album
I use a launcher (Lawnchair) to maintain a consistent UI on my phone. Don't like the silly things that Google change in every release, things I never asked for...
How to set time limit in niagra???
Stopped using launchers when I switched to the Pixel 6 Pro. Now I'm using the Pixel 8 Pro and seen no reason to use another launcher.
I just use nova so I can get the notification bubbles
Niagara launcher is good But sometimes we give a phone to a family member or someone else, then there will be a problem in using the phone.
Where can I find that gorgeous wallpaper at 0:14
its in the Niagara launcher wallpapers there is also many other amazing walls
Niagara was my favorite until i somewhat stumbled upon Kvaesitso Launcher. Those people are cooking something more unique.
Which phone you are using.
