    This hose has a serious flaw. The part that connects to the spigot, the long green/black "force control" fitting. Mine started leaking, and minutes later blew apart into two pieces. Inside was a flow regulator mechanism, and a spring. I couldn't figure out what happened at first....but it appears that the casing for these parts isn't mechanically latched/connected in ANY way. It's just press-fit inside. I don't understand what on earth they were thinking...... That would never work long term for a pressurized fluid.

    They tell you to stretch out the host first and hold for 1min BEFORE using as it encourages the reinforced latex tube to create expansion memory for optimal performance.

      Crazy isn't it, great features - lightweight, compact, expandable, burst proof, tangle resistant, easy to fit and use but there are still a lot of comments, like yours, indicating that quality issues persist. Home Depot do carry other expandable hoses so maybe try one when you take this one back. Thanks for sharing your experiences, sherry.

    I hope everyone prep stretch when they first use it before turning water on as instructed so the latex works. Just like ballons we stretch them before blowing them up. And if the plastic breaks maybe bad unit I use mine with brass quick disconnect no issues so far I too don't have powerful water pressure but I hooked up to a power washer and it did perform without burst and reached just about 60ft

    I can’t get mine to stay on the faucet. The male connector works fine, but the weird black piece (not the burst proof part) pops off when I turn on the water. I had purchased a hydro tech hose. I am so dissatisfied with this type of hose. I bought the hose 6 months ago and I don’t have a receipt any longer. I think this type of hoses are dangerous.
    When the water is ON and you put it on hold the hose will a get a big bubble and burst the inside rubber. The hose starts to shrink and the steal where you open and close starts to go crazy that is what cut my husbands hand and nerve.

    Why did you tie a knot in it? I can’t figure out how to use this hose. It keeps randomly shutting off and on and I figure it has something to do with some of the valves on it, but this video didn’t explain those valves at all. Why did you tie a knot in it? There’s no explanation for anything you are doing?

    • @PicRic
      @PicRic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, to demonstrate that even under pressure, this hose full of water with its 'force control valve' is, as claimed, 'burst proof', and flexible enough to accept a simple knot without causing any other damage. Note that I also removed the knot straight after that.
      I don't know why yours is randomly shutting off. A little investigation seems to bring up that some users have had issues with the force control valve but I don't know the details. I suggest you contact Hydrotech and ask for assistance in resolving your particular issues, info@hydrotechproducts.com. Will you come back here and share your experience Paula?
