The outer material is to keep the rubber hose from blowing up like a balloon and poping. Plus protect it while you drag the hose around the yard. I just learned that in previous video, I'm watching several of this type.
@@mk15handyman I already cut the hose and went to the hardware to get parts to fix it and and they tell me they don't have the parts , they should close down that hardware
Ofcourse you can but I prefer 45 degrees as that way it's easier to pull them on connector. But you are absolutely wright my friend. Thx for your comment
Followed your video to fix my hose and it worked great! And that straight connector was just.... 89 cents at local Home Depot! Thanks!
Fantastic. That's what is all about
What is it the connector called?
@@raiden1656 straight connector
This is the best video by far of how to repair these hoses. Great job 👍
Wow, thanks! Please🙏 give a like a subscribe. Thx for watching and thx for a nice comment. You just made my day :)

Great idea for the 45° cut !
Thx

This is so helpful! Thank you for the easy to understand detail.
Thx for watching

I like that 45’ cut, and how it lines up.👍
Thx. It makes easy to pull it on connector. With straight cut it's so difficult to do it. Thx for you comment and for watching
Perfect explanation, best expandable hose repair video. Thank you very much !!
Glad it helped

Hi thanks for the video- could you tell me exactly what the 2 parts used are called and the sizes you mentioned ? Thanks you!
Hose connector and metal adjustable rings. Size depend on your hose
so good
Sir… I think the wate 6:06 r leak in my hose is coming out of a tiny hole in the outside material. How would you address that? Thank you.
Just like on the video. Your inner tube have a hole as well.

How to repair it if it leaks at the connecting pipe
Depends on where exactly leaks. Maby all you need is rubber seal
@@mk15handyman I already cut the hose and went to the hardware to get parts to fix it and and they tell me they don't have the parts , they should close down that hardware
That is weird as this parts are very popular and usually can get them everywhere
where can I get the plastic part you used to connect the ends of the hose?
Try your local building shop or ask them, they should know where you can get them locally
Will this work on an expandable Pocket Hose Copper Bullet, which has 3 layers of latex hose inside?
I dont know. Sorry
Use dish detergent to make connection much easier to slid coupler in
For sure it will go easy but it might also go off easy. I managed with some water but if someone strangle the sime soap might be a good idea
Very good video! Thank you!!
Glad you liked it!

Instead of metal clamps what about large self locking nylon ties? ah?
When you cut off unwanted part it's also very sharp so not much better and it's not reusable so I prefer metal. But it can be done
Thank you❤
You're welcome 😊
great thx
You can overlap the two ends cut corner to corner and they will fit perfectly flush on the connector.

Thx Bro 😊👍🙏

You said 30mm connector in the video.
Visually it doesn’t look that big.
Can you confirm the 30mm please?
i said 13mm and it does not matter, you need to mature your hose before buying on as you might need different size

I dont speak Italian but it sound beautiful. I hope it's positive comment. Gracie ❤
great idea
:)
You made this look so easy that I tried it in the broken hose at work, and I'm having the hardest time getting the hose onto the connector 😭
It is tricky but its doable as you can see on my video. I didn't use any trick. I wish I could help you
@@mk15handyman I got it on today! It unfortunately didn't hold more than a few minutes at full blast, but I can't say I didn't try!
Worts case scenario go for one size smaller connector. It will work too but much easier to slid it in
Expanding hoses are junk. Throw it away and buy a quality hose. Problem solved.
I agree👍
