I'm really disgusted and appalled at the disrespect people are showing to Ricky Carmichael, just because he put on a few pounds since retirement. So what??! He worked and trained and rode and raced harder than anyone for more 25 years. He won FIFTEEN motocross and supercross titles, amounting to 151 wins!! You losers who have nothing better to do than this don't have one small measure of the integrity that R.C. has (as he prefers to be called, as modest as he is about his accomplishments). Really, you all should be ashamed of yourself, and demonstrate some respect for not only one of THE greatest motorcycle riders in all of recorded history, but one ofTHE greatest athletes, businessman, gentleman, and ambassadors for the sport, as well.

All of these people calling Carmichael a fatass is laughable. He has already done his work and is set for life. He could be 250lbs and he will still be faster than 75% of you. That's what retirement is about, enjoying all of your hard work in previous years and getting fat! RC got it right.

I raced against him at a Loretta Lynn regional qualifier. We all knew he would be one of the next greats. Keep it up RC.
What a class act, going out and riding with everyday kids is making their day. I'm sure he is having fun but a part of him is out there for them. This is why he will be the G.O.A.T. in my opinion!

I had the opportunity to see him race when he was in New York @ Unadilla
It was an experience I’ll wont forget- the competitive natural that him and buba Stewart displayed was unbelievable. He was riding on an edge.. in my words. So focused and going like he was the only person there- back and forth they battled in the rain. It’s amazing to watch..
this video as well- if you didn’t know any better, you’d think it was just another rider on this RM👍🏻
This was the best and worse day of a lot of those riders lives. Some finally had their life long dream of being faster than rc and others were crushed by being passed by rc while he was on an 85 and they were on 250's.
of course he put on weight, he spent his entire life working out getting and staying fit. now that he's the goat and has retired he has some catching up to do on that grill and beers lol the ones talking about his weight, the sad part is, he'd still lap you!!

this is awesome to see.. I mean from watching him growing up and being a rider.. I also stopped and havnt been on a bike in years! I've put on about as much weight as him and that gives me confidence to get back on a bike and not worrie to much about my looks when RC has done this.. awesome video

What a blast that must have been for those kids to ride with Ricky. I wonder if some of the younger ones even know who he is? Such a great role model for young riders. Love ya Ricky! Don't worry about the weight, it comes with old age. Just stay healthy buddy and don't let it become too much of a problem.
Bless RCs heart, he's awesome, one of the best to ever do it. He'll always be my favorite. K-Dub will always be the smoothest though...

This brings back a memory if you read this Ezra Lusk.At a track when I got my first look at a DMC KAW 60.It is on the cover of Motocross Action I believe .Well Ezra was riding that Dave Miller Concept and somehow lined up with the 125 or the 250 pro class.There were some good tiders in it some from FL.and GA.and ALA..When the gate dropped Ezra gets the Holeshot and hr led all the way up this hill with jumps and at the top of the hill on a tabletop somehow Ezra went one way snd the bike another.For that 45 seconds which seemed like forever with a 11 year old to be leading in the Pro class was one of the most amazing thing I had seen in at that track called Echoconee in Warner Robbins GA.Needless to say that was about the last race I saw Ezra in that day.He rode 85cc class and back then the mini cycles.The moral of this is that 60cc KW was suppose to be as fast as a 125.That is why it was on the cover of of The magazine.That ead also the day RC came to race his mini KW 60.Ezra was prepared but just couldnt hang on.RC was real young.I really wanted to see those 2 race but it never happened.

Man, that is a tough little bike! For guys like me 5’6” 150lbs, a bike like that would be loads of fun. It looks like RC is about that height as well.

Back in the day, Phil Douglas used to race a mini in the Open Pro class at Baylands and finish in the top three. Very entertaining, unless you happened to be in the Open Pro class ;-)

One of the greatest ambassadors to the sport. Good to see him out there with the kids. That would be a great experience for them. I must say he is looking a little plump in his retirement, or is it just the bike size?
I remember seeing him as a 16 year old at Daytona must have been 1997? Jeremy McGrath was still rocking and there was one lone dude on a Yamaha 4 stroke if i remember correctly...

It might have been fair if he had to ride a 85 his whole career. I remember him on a 65 at Daytona. He jumped things most adults were not and bounced back up in the air with the throttle pin the whole time. A KX 60 did not have the greatest suspension at that time.
