i feel like everyone went to their comfort zone and knocked it out of the park. karina drew a hot guy, jacob did a portrait with lots of personality, and nathan drew a horse/dino. great episode
Idea: Everyone draws a simple background. Then you trade backgrounds with another person and they draw a character in that background or existing in that world.
Nathan is really good at animals in general. Karina also does some cool animals but they're like animal concepts plus something, Nathan's animals capture and accentuate the beauty of the creature itself

I like how when you watch other artists draw as an artist you can see that we are all self conscious idiots who think everything we does looks bad. I just love that Nathan took the time to find something he truly loved to get to where he wanted the journey to end. MERCH SUGGESTION: Could drawfee make a book composed of all the prompts they've done in their episodes? Maybe with some drawing tips and episode references at the bottom of the page or wherever? Nathan's pieces often invoke the same kind of joy in me as I felt going to childhood birthday parties. Like pure adventurous fun before the real world slaps you around. Just you and your childhood imagination against the world
Nathan's Confidence struggles make me feel so seen. There's a moment when I hate whatever I'm drawing and people who see it say "IT'S AMAZING SHUT UP!!" Sometimes you just need someone to tell ya that what you're drawing is up to your usual standards.
I love the series of "everyone have the same prompt but can intrepet in differently" drawing challenges. Like when you draw this and when you draw different character base on the same words.

I like how when you watch other artists draw as an artist you can see that we are all self conscious idiots who think everything we does looks bad. I just love that Nathan took the time to find something he truly loved to get to where he wanted the journey to end. I personally at a smaller level art wise than anyone on this channel but it truly does inspire me
MERCH SUGGESTION: Could drawfee make a book composed of all the prompts they've done in their episodes? Maybe with some drawing tips and episode references at the bottom of the page or wherever? I think it would be super cool both to use for inspiration and to challenge yourself but also to see all the references and remember the episodes!

Nathan's pieces often invoke the same kind of joy in me as I felt going to childhood birthday parties. Like pure adventurous fun before the real world slaps you around. Just you and your childhood imagination against the world
Nathan's Confidence struggles make me feel so seen. There's a moment when I hate whatever I'm drawing and people who see it say "IT'S AMAZING SHUT UP!!" Sometimes you just need someone to tell ya that what you're drawing is up to your usual standards.
I love the series of "everyone have the same prompt but can intrepet in differently" drawing challenges. Like when you draw this and when you draw different character base on the same words.
Suggestion!! I would like to see a challenge where you use a random colour pallete...but only get the colours AFTER you already have the drawing's line art! Chaos! Chaos!
Or do a Gradient Map thing, like what Jacob did in the first one. Impose a palette at the end (or partway through?) and then have to make it work!

This color palette is one I was obsessed with during the late 2000's Myspace era and one I've come back to several times over the years... Karina's piece gives off such 2008/2009 myspace , and I'm obsessed

Karina landed that old school anime background vibe PERFECTLY. I swear I’ve seen this exact abstract style in some shoujo anime ed. Or at least SOME anime ed and now it’s bothering me because I don’t remember which.

Between Karina’s drawing and finally watching Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, I have been thoroughly reminded of my favorite Vocaloid music videos this week.
But for real, I would 100% want Nathan's as the logo for a kickass roller derby team.
I looooooove everything everyone did for this one omg... Nathan's is so satisfying, definitely would look tight on a tshirt or a sticker or something. Jacob's is really nostalgic for me for some reason, it's cute and chill and I like the effect of the flat white with the colors and shading he did. Karina's is SOOOOO SICK and 100% passes the vibe check of "image used for a nightcore trance anime OP remix on youtube" and I love it and the pose is awesome and I love that boy DesCon.

I love that Nathan said he looked at how other artists tackled simplifying horses; looking to other artists and how they figured out how to draw something, has ALWAYS been something I've done to help break down real life anatomy and simplify it. Bc it's something I've always greatly struggled doing myself. I feel so validated LOL
