- Welcome to the latest MoDXtra: Games & Collectibles action figure review. In this instalment we're taking a look at the new G.I. Classified Series Airborne figure.
We've not seen any GI Joe Classified on the channel since Mutt & Junkyard arrived in December, so getting a sweet import of Airborne to break up the tedious wait for stuff to arrive was wonderful.
This is a THOROUGH review. It will involve a brief unboxing of Airborne, an overall view of the figure, and then some detailed thoughts around his aesthetic, articulation, and accessories. (My action figure review Triple A's LOL).
Its exciting to have a continued focus on GI Joe Classified on the channel, and its my hope that if you've been thinking of picking up an Airborne of your own my thorough review will help you make your decision.

Nice review. The color scheme alone just works for me...simple character yet distinct enough to easily recognize. Big thumbs up from me for him.
This version of the boxing is my favorite, shame they've changed it already.
My one wish for the Classified line is for them to do some more paint apps on the weapons, accessories and details.
That blue is lovely, very eye-catching. I’m into it too.
I would LOVE an increase of apps on the guns, accessories etc. I’m certain it’s a cost thing but it would really take them over the top for me. Right now I’d settle for some consistency with metallic blades and some more buckles though 😉
This is one character I’ve been wishing for since they started Classifieds. So excited to get my hands on him.

Me too. I much prefer the look & feel of that over the more modern re-interpretations of the early waves. I think it may also be because I am old too LOL!

I got the notification for this video and my first thought was how did Chris get Airborne already?! Hasbro Pulse is supposed to ship my figure later this month. Also, I gotta say that while watching you open up the box, I had the thought, "What is the optimal way to open a blister pack without bending all the accessories?" I wonder what other collectors do, because I've definitely had a similar experience to what you showed in the video.
Overall the figure looks great, and I'm excited to add him to my collection. Definitely expecting to pair this guy with the Dragonfly when it shows up later this year!

I would probably say, on the blister pack front, probably best just not to be an impatient, heavy-handed, neanderthal like me! 😂

My "quad-nods" mounting piece is warped so they always look goofy either up or down
Shame. Still… the options there for those who want it, but can be taken off for those who don’t. The beauty of Classified!
Why didn't the military study Airborne and his psychic abilities? I know he is no Tommy, but at least he's military trained and probably could have defended himself from the Cobra troopers.
I forgot about that little nugget of character lore! I just watched that episode not too long back as well 🤦🏼 (I’ve done a mega re-watch lately) I always go to the OG Action Force comics LOL 😂
Not a big fan of Airborne. They did a good job with him, I'm just not into it. A little too standard and I have no nostalgia for the character. However, great video as always! I like your light-hearted yet concise style. Looking forward to more!

It’s a close call between Torch, Gnawgahyde, and Jinx. I’d probably have to go with Torch. He was one of my first figures as a kid and my favorite Dreadnok. How about you?
Such a nice looking figure and they give us those poopy ass guns. I dont care if they were hid original or not. They are terrible like who's making these decisions.
Yep - that gun is the worst! Very underwhelming. ☹️
