- Earlier today the Yo Joe June 2024 Fan Stream took play. In this video I will be walking through all of the new reveals and sharing my initial reaction and reviewing the new products coming our way.
Anyone can take a look at my channel and see that I've been anticipating the Yo Joe June event for a few weeks now. As a GI Joe Classified fan its one of the highlights of the year, and has historically been the time we get a huge influx of new reveals to salivate over before the long pre-order wait period.
We've got 4 new GI Joe Classified mainline figures, 3 Retro figures, some subline exclusives, a vehicle, two digital renders, a name-only reveal and a partridge in a pear tree LOL
So... now Yo joe June is here... was my excitement warranted? How good are the new reveals? Was it worth the wait?

Thanks, Chris! I watched your rundown before I've watched the actual livestream. I'm left with this weird feeling that I missed a lot, but also not much. I don't know how that makes any sense, but the only pre-order I put in was for Alpine.
I get where you're coming from. I think it just feels a little flat because we're comparing it to last year, which was BIG. So much going on in 2023, it lacked some "wow" factor. The leaks were a bit of downer too - even after seeing leaks last year there was a handful of bits n' bobs to keep a little surprise & anticipation.
I love the vac metal Cobra Commander. I also love seeing that people were more obsessed with the idy bitty ditty bag then they were of Sgt Slaughter.
The Vac Metal CoCo looks really great. I'm def picking one of those up. It'll break my "1 fig, 1 character" personal rule but I think it's worth it this time as it's different enough.
New subscriber here, just found your channel, I cherry pick on classified so I’ll be getting the retro wave and alpine, going to pass on Iron Grenadier as it wasn’t something I had when I was younger, so no attachment to it
Hi Tim. Welcome :) Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I totally get the nostalgia factor playing a part on your decision with the Grenadier. I admire it - you're will power is stronger than mine - I started out saying "I'll just collect the ones I had as a kid" and... well... the rest is history and an empty bank account LOL :)

Didn't know you were going online this late tonight. I bought a pair of the Iron Grenadier a pair of the IG BATs, Alone and even though i think Storm shadow was the weakest in this wave i did preordered one .

For me I'm likely going to pass on the Saw Viper...maybe it's the bulkiness but I'm not digging the figure. Dial Tone on the other hand is an easy pickup for me...he's more or less what I would want a Classified Series Dial Tone to look like. Alpine isn't a home run for me in terms of how he turned out...particularly his head sculpt. But he's good enough that I wont pass on him.
The Iron Grenadiers and Iron Grenadier BAT are a easy passes. They're fine, but I'm just not really into the Iron Grenadier concept. I like Destro as just being a weapon supplier/designer for Cobra...I don't need him to have his own faction.
As for the new Storm Shadow figure. I was always unlikely to buy him 'cause I don't really like owning multiple versions of the same character and I have the full white Storm Shadow already and that's the one I wanted. That being said, I don't hate this new figure. The skirt piece is a bit much to my eyes, adds a bit too much to the figure. If there's ever a good sale for the figure I may get him then.
The Retro Card Stalker looks REALLY good and if this was the first version of Stalker that came out I would have bought him for sure. But I already have the standard version and I'm content with him. I don't want more than one version of the figure.
The Retro Card Cobra Trooper is an easy pass. He's too rinse and repeat. I was hoping Hasbro would have made the figure look more like what the Super7 figures look like...more inline with the Sunbow cartoon.
The Retro Card Cobra Commander WILL BE MINE!!! He looks AWESOME!!! Honestly the only thing I don't like about the figure is I wish he came with a second head that had a painted face plate. The vac-metal face plate looks fantastic, but vac-metal doesn't always hold up over time once they're out of the packaging and exposed to dust and hand oils.
I have ZERO interest in the Mad Marauders figures...so nothing to really say about them. The Cobra Stinger looks great, but I don't need or want the vehicles...they're just too big at this scale.
I know some will say I'm clearly not a real fan because of how many of the figures I said I'm going to pass on, but you know to each their own. I buy what I like and that's just how I roll.
Nah man - I cherry pick too - I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts - you're a real fan as far as I'm concerned :) . I enjoyed reading where you're at with this batch of releases. It's great to have this stuff in the comments IMHO because it shows the sentiment from across the Classified collectors. That's why I did my stream yesterday all about my viewers opinions too.
I'm def getting the sense that Retro CoCo is the big winner of this Yo Joe June and I'm with you man - he will be mine! LOL

Yeah... maybe. I'm an optimist though and hoping it'll be OK. The pictures by @ShootingTheGalaxy look like he got some decent poses & articulation from the fig so I'm inspired by that. Time will tell. :)
