383 Stroker Nova Destroys Our Hearing at In-N-Out

  • 383 Nova owned by Jose! This thing was purely bad to the bone. Sleeper look from the outside but total beast on the inside. The 9 inch hiding so discretely in the rear is probably the only thing you'll see if you tried to race Jose. This thing was a true backyard beast. This brought us back to our roots.

If you listen to this motor it runs well, if you’ve ever tuned an engine you know by sound. This is a lost art, most of you stand behind a computer to tune your motor to a pre made, pre boxed set up and then brag about your motor when you’ve never really did any math, or used any real skill to build a motor.

I'm building a stroker sbc for my 68 C20 right now. Should be around 500hp when I'm done. If you want a good set of heads for the price I recommend the Brodix IK series. Come with decent stuff, flow good numbers. You can pick between a couple of runner sizes and chamber sizes for around $1,000 to S1,200. I ordered mine from Summit for $1k then my head shop charged me $100 to check them over and set up the springs for my cam. So I've got around $1250 altogether in them and they should support up to 600hp. Oh and they're made in the usa if that matters to you.

What yall fail to realize is you spend about 2k dropping a ls into a classic the one that makes 450 stock will cost you around 1200 for a hurt one that needs a rebuild, or upwards 2500 to 3500 for a good one and I might be off so that's 4 to 5k just put the motor in , a built 6 speed is 7k to swap into a old camaro like mine , and then to turbo swap is about 2 to 3k for single turbo and all that is needed.. I will be going manual but probably going to stay old-school, because for 7k I can have a big block 496 with less complicated stuff going on or I can have a turboed small block 383 stroker for 5k...or 383 stroker like this car for 3k so look at it like that

Gasratz Customs it’s a bad ass and old school. It reminds me of a lot of cars my buddy’s had in the early 90’s. My uncle had a 69 and would beat the hell out of it. It had a 355 cammed with camel humped heads and and of course the 750 Holley with headers

Any year Ford Taurus, as long as it fits the hight and with of your c10. A shroud is also very important as well to maximize the air flow.
