‘68-‘72 Novas were my favorite muscle cars of all time. Beautiful, timeless styling. I had a ‘70 Nova with a full-race 355, solid roller, 13:1, 4:88 gear, etc. It ran on Sunoco 116 race gas. It was a real handful on the street and I got pulled over multiple times for excessive noise. Those were the days.
Love the old muscles! My 70’ GTO was my favorite. My only sadness in some respects is that you used to be able to take an old muscle car and kick ass everywhere but even retro modding them its very hard to come close to modern muscle cars ! Nevermind supercars! Maybe that’s a good thing that muscle guys can put more money in appearance because they still rule the looks department. The Nova in this post is timeless and beautiful! This one is fast also I’m sure!
The motor is music to my ears , perfect sound for that car. Lots of money invested but I gotta say you did the car justice for sure.. definitely a head turner and for good reason - she’s beautiful!!! Perfect stance too
I love those Weld Wheels. Back in the day, the inserts between the lugs were blue and the center cap ends were also blue. I was working a Nationwise auto parts when they switched to red and black.
Sir this sound extremely Extreme, thank you for not having A.I. as your narrator, thank you for not having annoying music. It's the Beast from North East!!! Miss my 66 Chevelles
1970 was my first car way back in the early 80's. Remains my favorite still today. This Nova is freaking gorgeous man ! Oh hell was that a NJ plate bro ? NJ native here 54 yrs... Love that Nova
Nice!! I'm working on my own '71 Nova. Not going to be a big block though. I can get in enough trouble with a small block. Yours is so sweet! A good inspiration for me! Thanks for the video!
Ya got a true gold mine there sir!!! Love them old novas. Body is sweet and love the black on black. I used to own a blue 71 manual bench seat but loved it sadly sold due to priorities of life. But so wish I kept it. Enjoy that beauty. Nova SS are serious classic Chevy muscle cars. And yours is a beautiful example of how they should be !!
That’s some nice paint and body work especially in black. Have my ‘66 Lemans at a good friends body shop, if it looks like that when I get it back I’ll be thrilled.
I had a 69 SS with factory L78 and four speed. And a 70 SS with a L79 and four speed. I loved to power shift both.. But I love yours also. I wish they would of had the 632 back in the 80s. Lol
I bought a new SS Nova in the summer of 1972 . Spring Green with no outside mounding, black interior rubber mat, instead of carpet . With a 350 engine that made about 200 horsepower 4-speed saginaw transmission ,
owned a 70 nova i was 19 had my first real job, back then you could order your car with what ever options. basic price 6 cyl 3 speed was around 1700 bucks i added the ss package postrac the 396/375 engine being one handed i went with the turbo-hydro tranny. moon dust silver 3695 bucks was the sticker price took about 3 weeks i would drive by the chevy dealer every night after work until one night there sat a car carrier on their lot and there was my car on the top in the back i will never forget that night
Perfect! It's my birth year, my favorite car and if I were able to build one it would surprisingly look exactly like this one. I love your car awesome job man.
I'm a Pontiac guy, have a nice 64 Tempest post, with a 462, etc.....my point, WHO DID THE PAINT?????...ITS THE MOST SLICK, PERFECT BLACK i've ever seen!!...i mean its spectacular, as u walked around, i was lookin for issues........cant find any....altho i cant afford paint and all, my pump gas Poncho DOES deliver 10:90's, or 6:90's....(1/4 or 1/8)...on a nice relativly mild build.....I APPLAUD YOU SIR!!!....what a nice piece.....i'm a Jersey boy too....my Poncho runs good b'cuz of Nunzi......anyhoo, i was impressed with how strait, and AWESOME the body is.....somebody spent ALOT of time block sanding, with plenty of guide coat!!.....NICE PIECE!!!..Enjoyed the vid!! TY!!
Oh man is your channel monte ss? I loved your monte vids with the 632. Ill 'scribe ya if you shoot me your channel name. And tell the monte i love em! 😁i wanna see that chevelle
had a 72 -396 with COMP MAGNUM CAM - took 4 pumps of the double pumper to get it to start - had a Pete Jackson Gear Drive and the exhaust was Hooker Super Comp Headers with 2.5 pipes to Hooker Super Comp Mufflers with downturns at the Diff - we messed around with the cam button on the gear drive until it was not too quiet and not too loud and blended in with the exhaust note just right
Nice ride bro! Reminds me of my black on black 70 Nova SS 396/375hp, 4 spd, numbers matching all original ride I had just out of high school. Wish I still had it today!
Absolutely perfect in ever way. It would be hands down unicorn status with a 4 link. But nevertheless, if it hooks and launches straight then.... its beautiful
That cam idle and a baby laughing are the two best sounds ever
