i've probabl watched a hundred reverse balayage video tutorials on youtube because i was looking for something easy to follow that i can do at home and yours is the most comprehensive one i could find, easy to do for someone like me who's gonna be doing her hair at home! thank you!
Same!!! It's literally a root smudge and picking some pieces with it... Absolutely doing this!!! Looks flipping amazing (and so much easier than 99.9% of the other tutorials)
Thank you for not just fast forwarding through the application, I loved that you took us with you as you applied and explained what you were doing! Even though it’s fast paced it’s easy to follow! 🎉
Wow this is such a great simple technique for someone who wants to do this on themselves. I'm ordering some supplies now~ Going to remove the existing color, bleach the regrowth, then add a reverse balayage using 3N with a few red color drops so the brown doesn't turn into a hallow green, using this technique. Then I'll be adding a T86 toner to the ends. Wish me luck! Ill post an update when it's done 😊
@@brittney1525 Oh my gosh it was a lot harder then I thought, even with a double mirror. The front sections came out perfect, but the backs a little wonky. Also accidently got some 3n demi permanent on the ends UGH. Just have a friend help for the back bc wow it's not easy. Overall it came out okay, just had to do some correction on the ends.
You did a beautiful job with that. I've been thinking of doing a reverse Balayage on my own hair I'm trying to get a younger look I've always dyed my hair blonde and it would grow out looking like a Balayage but now I'm older and it looks gray plus it's all getting really thin I was thinking adding a dark Balayage warm Brown would make me look younger. But I don't know if I have the stamina to do it myself. I don't have one of those brushes I had a ton of them but they're all in storage now and I was wondering if I could just do it with my fingers
@PaulWattsHair I hope you don't mind me asking, I'm a natural level 4 I've grown my hair to shoulders I've bleached it to the same level on your maniquen, I want to add dark blonde as highlights would a level 8 work with level 4 ? I was thinking of using redken shades 8n and 8vb. Would that be a good mix? Level 4 is my natural that's not been bleached.
If I was to go darker with NN and V from level 8 lifted with grey hair and add purple and fuschia on ends would you rinse and then apply flash colors. Or would you apply the colors at the same time as the permanent
I would rinse the NN first, dry, then add the purple and fuchsia after. Just because the NN probably has a 20-30 min process, and you could leave the fashion colors on as long as you want since it's a non damaging/conditioning stainer. I usually leave fashion colors in for an hour just to make it as vibrant as possible.
Wish you would have shown the exact brand of color and numbers that you used in documentation. You speak so fast and only glance at the brand I can't catch what you're using.

How did it go?!?

Great uncomplicated way of doing it . I have been hairdressing for many, many years, and I am so happy to learn new ways of doing things .

fantastic! cant wait to try. Never used Joico color but now I am tempted so well done Thx
Great technique paul love it 💜💜💜
Thank you Tina
Use a product to make the color acidic like Megix 10 Morph that way it will be easier to lighten when it grows out
I'll have a look into that. Thanks for commenting Thomas
Hi
Great job. What level had that maniquin lifted to before you started the balyage?
Thank you.
Hey Sean thanks, the mannequin was a level 9/10
OK thank you. 😊

Does he use the same batch of toner through the whole video? Or does he do different on the roots and middle?
Great video as usual Paul. Xx
Thank you mum xx
Thank you beautiful❤
That looks great!🥰
Thank you Pia
Now, could you do this on wet hair for an easier blend?
Beautiful!
Thank you pipinz
Wow great😍

What colours did u use
Brilliant 😊
Scura che colore hai usato alla base ?
Love it
Thanks Angela
Perfect! 💖🔆🤪
Thank you
Ok, so you used the same formula even when blending?
I do yes, as it's a 10 minute colour
@@PaulWattsHair Thank you, do you think it’ll blend if I used two different formulas?
How to prevent it from bleeding on the blonde when washing?
It wouldn’t be on long enough to tone the hair unless it’s a much darker color use conditioner on the ends to prevent bleeding
Si lavora con i guanti!!

What happened to the natural curly, messy, sexy hair?
Not sure🤣 not curling nicely at the minute
