    As always, another great video of the pretty Ozarks' creeks. Beautiful scenery out your way! I'm impressed with your new ride too, Jon. I'd been reading up on those in my various motorcycle magazines over the winter. I think you made a fine choice, glad you're liking it so far. Keep up the good work!

    Meeting the UPS driver man me laugh. I remember riding off the pavement not far from Patagonia. AZ once and thinking that it was time to turn around before I got in trouble when I looked ahead and saw the UPS truck coming toward me. Another great video. Always enjoy your rides in the government woods.

      @@ozarksbackroads5484 I put a small deposit on one. Tubed tires and lack of cruise control could be enough to make me look at something else like a DesertX, Tiger900, or BMW.

    You’re riding in the general area of my. I’m in SW Missouri (Joplin) and you’ve found some really nice roads to ride on. I’m new into learning about adventure bikes, but I’ve ridden dirt bikes and motorcycles. I’d really like to give the CFMOTO a go, but I’ve seen that they introduced a new Explore model of the Ibex 800 in the global market. It comes with traction control, radar, and the ability to turn TC and ABS off for off-roading. They also switched tires and give it a slightly larger screen. I don’t think that’s all the differences, but it seems to address the main complaints I’ve seen about this bike. I hope it comes to the US market soon.

    I think it’s gonna be a great bike for Colorado
    Suggestion For your Colorado trip - check out Gateway Colorado You can make a loop from grand junction to ridgeway and back if you wanted. I did the ride from Cimarron thru ridgeway ,redvale ,and into gateway and back yesterday. 320 miles roughly
    Rode it on my Royal Enfield Himalayan, very scenic ride thru red rock canyons around gateway.
    Also there’s a really cool car museum In gateway.
    Cheers. Hope to see ya when you come out

Click on Accessories and then motorcycle accessories from the drop down menu. All the available goodies are right there.... Thanks for watching... :)

    Now you have had it a while, what are your thoughts vs the tiger ? I have a budget of $15k aud and it’s between a used tiger xca or an 800MT

    • @ozarksbackroads5484
      @ozarksbackroads5484  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello there sir, good to hear from you... The Tiger is a much more refined motorcycle than the 800MT. The fueling on the Tiger is perfection and every aspect of the bike is top end. The Tiger has more suspension travel than the CFMOTO so it can go over obstacles a bit better and also has the 21 inch front wheel which is a real advantage when the going gets tough. The 800MT has very good suspension but only 6.5 inches of travel and a 19 inch front wheel so traveling over the rough stuff requires a bit more finesse and a slower pace. The 800MT however has a lower center of gravity and is significantly easier to ride off road than the Tiger with its high center of gravity. The 800MT in my opinion is a better bike to tour on than the Tiger. It can carry a lot of gear without becoming nearly as top heavy as the Tiger and it is more comfortable, has much better wind protection and is more relaxed at highway speed than the Tiger. I have traveled long distances fully loaded on both bikes and I can say that the 800MT is a better bike for that job. The 800MT has aggressive throttle mapping and also some lean surge at slow speeds that will probably turn some folks away from it. The choice as to which bike I suppose depends on what type of ridding you will be doing and what is most important to you.... Good luck with your new ride... Thanks for watching... keep safe out there... :)

    Have been anxious to hear how you are liking the new machine ! Does it sit as comfortable as your vstrom did with your lowered pegs ? I see the MSRP , how much do they add on on top of that ? dealer prep , freight ? all of that . Enjoy !

    • @ozarksbackroads5484
      @ozarksbackroads5484  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello there sir... good to hear from you... The Ibex is pretty comfortable... more so than the V-Strom was before I raised the seat, lowered the pegs and put on bar risers. I have ordered a tall seat for the Ibex to raise me up for more leg room but I believe that will be all I am going to do to it... The bar height and reach is quite good as is. I wound up paying $11,000 even for my bike... For those who wait to pick one up later in the season from a dealer, they should be able to get one for $10,500 I would think.... thanks for watching.... keep safe out there... :)

    • @k.v.w68
      @k.v.w68 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks and you too ! I have done the same with my vstrom . I think I will try to make a trip to the dealer and sit on one, website shows there is one about 90 miles from me , looks like a lot of machine for the price , and the cruise sells me too vs the Suzuki 800, makes no sense to me they don't include that .

      Hey there Mick, the CFMOTO is a better off road/gravel road bike than the V-Strom and a lot more fun to ride. The motor on the 800T is really lively. The V-Strom is a great bike for sure so it is hard to say if I like it more than the V-Strom but I do like it.... Thanks for watching.... keep safe out there... :)

    • @ozarksbackroads5484
      @ozarksbackroads5484  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello there sir, good to hear from you. The bike does have ABS but it cannot be disabled. The ABS works well off road, the rear tire will slide quite a bit before the ABS kicks in. The front tire will slide a bit before the ABS intervenes. I think the ABS is quite good for off road use and I would probably leave it on even if I could turn it off but that is just my opinion your mileage may vary... thanks for watching... keep safe out there... :)

      Certainly looks that way doesn't it, it's the other way around from the rear which is odd, maybe for braking? As a farmer all chevron pattern tyres lead with the point of the triangle (as the rears are), only reason you turn them is for less wear on the road, but maybe because they don't drive they brake better in reverse, guess google could tell us.

  • @BERZERKERSV4

    On paper $10,499 sounds very tempting until you consider the FU Fees charged by the few CF Moto dealers which actually have an Ibex in stock ( FYI:near zero).. freight, set up (charged by the dealer) and a $250.00 “ CFMoto Ocean Freight Surcharge” plus what ever fees the few dealers will charge meaning that a Ibex MT will be nearing $15k…. dangerously close to the well established KTM…. which translates into : NO SALE

      I did have the opportunity to demo ride the Ibex MT during Daytona BikeWeek last March…. I was very impressed and the regional sales manager advised that the MT would be available in greater numbers in “a month or two”… here we are in May and only a few scattered Ibex’ can be found in Florida… and I shutter to think what the Florida Scumbag Stealerships OTD price would be…At @$11k I would purchase the Ibex in a heartbeat….. the question is “Where”?
