@@htetaunglin704 Korean names come from chinese characters. Jang and Jang (蔣 and 張）is two completely different word. In Chinese, one is pronounced as *_Jiang_* and another is *_Zhang_* . But in Korean there are less vowels and tones than Chinese language so that why both pronunciation is simplified as Jang

both the surname pronounced the same as Jang in Korean but different in Chinese (same as Vietnam, too). Wonyoung's surname in Vietnamese we pronounce as "Trương" but the No.92 is "Tưởng". Have you ever heard about 蔣介石 (jiǎng jiè shí), the politician who created Taiwan ? His surname is the No.92 like in Korean.

boo is only common in jeju/ southern par of sokor. where seungkwan came from.

if you live or studying in Confucianism’s affected countries like China, Korea, Japan, even Vietnam; it’s much better to understand our names because all of our names can be be written and read in Chinese, and you can use it and pronounce in Japanese/Korean/Chinese/Vietnamese way (Hanja in Korea, Kanji in Japan or Hán Tự in Vietnamese). Sometimes we also translate Japanese names or Korean names (through Chinese) and pronounce in Vietnamese way and the social of Korean living Vietnam very like it.

In this case, hanja (hanzi/chinese characters) is better than hangeul for write surnames. Hangeul make we hard to distinguish these surnames. Example, a lot of people (especially writers in wattpad think Wonwoo (Seventeen) and Jungkook (Bts) both have same surname (which is Jeon, in hangeul 전). But actually Wonwoo's surname is 全 (in korean read as Jeon) and Jungkook's surname is 田 (in korean read as Jeon too).
That's why they don't just use surname, Koreans use clan name as well. They say I'm Kim of Kimhae clan.

@@alphanzzsophyan1058 Jeon Somi (Ennike Douma) is 全昭彌; Jeon Heejin (Loona) is 田姬振 and Jeon Somin (actress) is 全昭旻. You can see the difference here. Only Somin and Somi share the same surnames but for Heejin case is different. Heejin share her surnames with Jungkook of BTS.

there's less than 1000 people who has this surname in south korea but I'm not one of them cuz my dad surname is Jung

It's 2023 now and still looking for something in this video. It's still interesting until now. I've found that Miyeon G-Idle and Kyuhyun SuJu have different surnames although the pronounciation is still the same in Korea (or count as 2, not for a complicated case like Kang surname). Miyeon G-Idle share the same surname with Cao Cao, famous king of Wei in the Three Kingdom Era in China, and Kyuhyun share his surname with Zhao Yun, famous "General Tiger" of Shu in Three Kingdom
