      Yes agree but if you notice there's really a lot of people under 16 during the 4th gen compared to the 2nd gen ... In the 2nd you likely find in a group 1 who is 15 or 16 and the oldest is 20 or 21 and the second oldest is 19 now companies become braver and start debuting groups with 3 to 4 people under 16 and the oldest barely hit 18 and this is very concerning since the debuting of minor idols is increasing over the years

    So many senior idols like Hyuna, Jungkook, and Taemin have spoken about how debuting at such a young age affected them badly. I hope the many 4th gen idols who just debuted at a young age don't fall into this trap, too. I don't understand why companies can't just let underage idols hone their skills for a while before debuting them; 15yo Jungkook was very talented, but 18yo Jungkook was even better

      it's truely sickening, the entertainment industry is already cruel towards adults, imagine being 13 years old and having your childhood replaced with intensive training, weight concerns and unshielded hate and criticism likely without your family and friends nearby for support, no wonder it lowkey messed up so many idols.

    • @rheimy7819
      @rheimy7819 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      It’s also important to take into consideration that second gen idols were the breadwinners of their families, due to having parents with an incapacitating illness or just blatantly neglectful parents. That’s a lot of burden for a kid to carry on top of being in the industry. Thankfully most of the fourth gen idols come from well off families.

    I remember I was around same age when Janey debuted with GP Basic! She's the maknae and rapper and actually really talented. Her group didn't do well so she became kinda guest member for D-Unit (which also didn't do well...)
    She became solo and also in unpretty rapstars and The Unit. She should be close to 24 rn.
    A kinda good thing with debuting young is if your group dont do well you can hop around starting new journey and still feel young. Imagine if you're talented and debut in your 20s and sign 5 year contract in a nugu group. At 25 it's either acting or left the industry. If you're a guy you'll start military soon and just live quiet life after that.

    15 is somewhat tolerable (not ok though as talented as they are, Jungkook I'm looking at you), but 14, 13 and especially 11-12 is definitely a big wtf for me. Personally I'm a fan of 16+, but if an idol is more mature for their age, then I'm willing to overlook a couple of months shy from 16. Junghwan from Treasure for me is an example of this. Extremely mature, even more so then some of his hyungs (ones born in '00 even!). 14 and younger though, even if they are mature, they are definitely still not mature enough in my eyes.

They are Just Non-Korean Asian Pop 🎵🎶 Groups Managed by a 🇰🇷 Company. (Boy Story - 🇨🇳 Mandopop, NiZiu - J-Pop in 🇯🇵) However, NiZiu will Be Making its K-Pop Debut in 🇰🇷 Within 2023. If NiZiu's K-Pop Activities are Successful (Without Overshadowing Both Itzy & Nmixx at the Same ⏰), Maybe Boy Story will Have the Chance to Expand its Group Activities Into K-Pop in 🇰🇷 Within a Few Years' ⏰.

    kids should allowed to be kids without being scrutinised and sexualised by the public and weird older men and women.. this industry just opens them to have all their flaws pointed out and being screamed at them🥲 I mean kyla is the biggest example of how this can affect a child, poor girl. also kids don't need a career they need education, even if they still go and don't dropout like some do they still are going to be exhausted and unable to focus bc of all their schedules

    So there can be a debate here for Korean age vs Intl age. In their culture they see themselves as 1-2 years older based on their age system. Theyre considered 1 year old at birth and then when the new year comes they automatically "age up" regardless of where their birthday falls in the year. A 15 yr 4months old person to us. might be considered closer to maybe 17 in Korea. So it's really complicated LOL
    I'm sure most of yall know this but yeah something to keep in mind lol
