I think the biggest problem I have with the movie version is that it's intentionally structured as an emulation of a TV series, so the pacing is really off. It's like watching a compilation movie before the series was even on the air. So yeah I think a five episode TV series will be the best way to watch Shin Kamen Rider, though I doubt that it will change anyone's minds if they already didn't enjoy the movie.
Yeah I couldn't get halfway through the movieet alone finish it like the other shin films because of the pacing. Granted I've no knowledge about kamen rider or super sentai and went in because Hideaki Anno lol
I loved the episodic ver as well and I really appreciated that Anno add some establish scenes in the beginning of ep. Add some music bg in hachi-aug ep was great too.
They could've ended episodes with fights as a stinger and used the deleted version of the cuts in the beginning of the next episodes to really pad it out yet use all the footage. Not saying it would feel better to watch but it would really be in tune with the genre. Not if they did it every time but just treat some of them as two-parters or something?
@@Dragnophor I saw your comment and thought it meant it was available to buy but I’m guessing you meant it’s on Prime. Happy to tell you I have already seen it and while the story beats feel rushed most of the time, in my opinion, it is an entertaining and visual splendor that I find myself coming back to watch. It’s clear that Anno put a lot of love into this considering he is a big tokusatsu fan.
A bit disappointed it’s the same movie but with Openings and Endings. If it was gonna be a series you might as well add enough to justify it, but it seems to just be a marketing ploy. I like how those OP and EDs are filmed but I’ll stick with the original movie if it’s just the same but split. Reminds me of The Irish Man movie where people recommended watching it in chunks like a streaming show, except even weirder because the movie isn’t even that long
It was mostly just for a fun way to watch it, since it’s a love letter to the original show. But I agree, I wish they would have added in more of those deleted scenes for the episode version.
Well yes and no, the main crunch of the episodes are a recut version of the movie, but there is some scenes with Ichimonji that were added that take place after the events of the movie
Fun fact:There is a prequel manga of Shin KR
And it's good!
Have follow the manga before the film release
wtf
Kamen Rider always peaking in manga
And the plot is just Evangelion, literally
Is it called shin kamen rider prologue?
I think with how Hideaki Anno creates the screen play, with a bold lines between arcs, it's best to watch in series.

Well, let's enjoy ourselves, don't drag others who didn't like the movie
Otherwise it gonna shoot down our feeling to re enjoying it again

I am sorry to hear that
But I hope you can enjoy another Rider series, not all Rider series have manga storytelling like Shin
Hoping it gets a Digital Release
Didnt they already did that like last year
Honestly.......Shin being a mini-TV series seems to better on story narrating than the film
And this is coming from a fan who like Shin KR

I like the episodic better. the movie feels like anime compilation movie.
Only The First and The Next works as movies.
I cropped your thumbnail and added it to me and my friends' discord server as an emoji
A true legend.
@ShinGlassman054 Thank you
Let's compare this to someone splitting the Heisei Ichigo+Nigo+V3 movies into parts first
I hope we'll get a state side release of this Blu Ray set.
Have any subbing groups said they'll do this cut of the film?
Does this mean we may get shin himistu Sentai go ranger?
Saw it on eBay last night. Does it have English subtitles?
No
@@ShinGlassman054Thank you
It is on Amazon if you have seen it yet

Oh damn they got the actors to film more scenes? Or is it just a re edit of what was already there and any leftover footage
I have a excuse to watch shin kamen rider again
Make another video about one piece live action dude i really enjoyed

where to watch it bro? is it already on amazon prime?
The movie is.
Where can I watch the series ?
Its not a sequel to the movie?

Fun fact. A lot of the Movie is based on the Manga, Only that the Movie is actually good
This movie was so fucking boring. But this might make it easier.
Big disappointment for me after gojira and ultraman
