We embark on another day of touring in Harry our Ford Custom AutoCamper campervan as we travel to the coast. The end of the day ends in a challenging moment as water pours into Harry and threatens the trip. Some interesting rock formations at Bois-Du-Cise that look like the White Cliffs Of Dover take our eye before we visit Le Treport where we don't feel the location enbough to stop for lunch. We hit a few parking restrictions that cause us some challenges.

Glad the skylight issue was sorted and didn't curtail the trip. That green rock looked alien in some of the shots. You haven't started having extraterrestrial visitations since have you?😂

Yes we could get over the cobble shape to them and the green and who knows what was going on with that circular one - I am guess lava flow at some stage

Yes some places are a little anti vans which I sort of get but they could reserve it some spaces in my opinion

Me again! I meant to say if you're planning a trip to Germany, down in the Black Forest region, and other places too I think, your campsite tourist tax get you a free public transport ticket for the duration of your stay at the site. Last we year visited Lake Tittisee and enjoyed 3 days of free bus and train travel in the area.

Ooh day old baguettes aren’t the best for your teeth! Beach did look crumbly. It did look quite busy by the beach. Though it looked interesting, we tend to prefer quiet places. Cheese overload 😂. Saint Martin looked lovely. Pleased you managed to fix the skylight. Good tip 👍 thanks for sharing 👍😊
So a day 3 baguette is used as a security deterrent in the event we get attacked lol 😂 if they ask I will offer some cheese

Your van is only as long as my little Talbot but yours looks bigger. I love beaches with interesting rocks like that. I think it is chalk Stew but I'm not sure either lol. Sometimes places just don't do it for you, maybe it's more of a winter destination when all the tourists have gone. Storms always seem to play havoc in the night but least you sorted it. Pain in the butt though.

Had the same issue with our caravan this summer, tried resealing a couple of times but gorilla sealant tape on the outside (in white) after a thorough cleaning of the roof and skylight edges was the winner in the end. It’s also the reason I’m soo hesitant to cut any holes in the roof of our transporter- I know it should be fine but I haven’t convinced myself yet 😂
Yes not a job I would tackle - Autocampers took the skylight completely off and resealed and put a bit more for good measure

I must admit there was no point at all to the blocks being that high as they didn’t stop parking so it was a bit weird
Thankfully half a turn of the screws did it as it was dripping continuously and would of ended the trip for sure
Autocampers removed the skylight and resealed it

You were lucky, de 1,90 de haut is a hight restriction not a width restriction as I think that Harry is higher than 2,09m 😅

Great video Jane and Stew. I reckon those rock formations are due to chemical weathering or carbonation. Rainwater, and sea water can be very slightly acidic and dissolve away the weakest parts of the chalk rock. It’s been lovely following your French (and Dutch and Belgian) adventure!

Lol no i am not that skilled - at 5am I thought we would have to end the trip as it was a constant drip. I was researching diy shops to see if I could get sika flex or something similar - fortunately the half a turn was enough
They completely took off the skylight and resealed so the after series was good

I always wet a day old baguette under the tap and put it the oven for a few minutes gets a second lease of life 😊Think the parking was referring to the height and length of the vehicle? How tall is Harry?

But I can’t tell you where they source it as we bought the van off the converter - I must admit I have not seen the supplier but if I do come across it I will share it
Whilst I couldn’t find the exact one typing in campervan swing table leg seemed to bring up a few that looked similar
