Nice to see a place I use to love driving through every day (for the scenery😊) on my way to and from work. We lived in Carnlough, about 3 miles further up the coast road. Glenarm is used as a location for TV and movies and in 2003 the Northern/Irish movie ‘The Boys From County Claire’ was filmed there and Cushendall, It’s a really good movie especially 😮if you like really a movie set in the past, and this one is set in ‘65 with a group of lads from Liverpool attending a céili festival back home in Ireland. Great locations and with good traditional music, an absolute treat. The whole area of the Antrim Glens is quite stunning and I would walk up into the old quarry with my Dalmatian every day before I went to work. Cranny Falls and the old Quarry are defiantly work a stop as you take in the picturesque harbour in Carnlough. The ‘Peace Dividend’ following on from the ‘98 ‘Agreement’ has been massively significant for the whole of the North and especially the Glens for what has historically been an area that has struggled to attract investment. Now 2 and half decades on the whole area is dramatically different than was in 1996. So much so, that in places it’s pretty much unrecognisable in a good way😊 I travel up to my old stomping ground at least once a year to take in the beauty of the Antrim Glens and walk up to the Ulster Way via the old disused railway line and quarry. There is a really good council run campsite in Cushedall right on the beach if wild camping is not your thing. I need disabled facilities when I’m camping and this is a good mix of just enough support but now overran with screaming kids😢

I’m relatively new to your channel and it’s nice to see what my fellow countrymen and women think of my beautiful adopted home, for me it’s Co. Tipperary, and I’m from Penrith. I’m sure you’re long gone from Ireland now but I’m glad to say that the Clonakilty veggie pudding is widely available in nearly all the large chain supermarkets now. For me I like to have Lidl’s own label black pudding as it tastes every bit as good as the Clonakilty puddings. My husband is a strict veggie and so I use the Clonakilty Veggie pudding in my Lancashire hotpot with veggie mince, an absolutely yummy alternative.

Always pays to get decent quality wipers they are not all the same quality oh you can use white spirit on a cloth and run it across the face of blade every now and again it gets the road film tar etc off the blades 😊
