i mounted the servos with those servo gromits on my 580 raw, but i noticed there was to much play on the servos, so i decidet to remobe the gromits.
I personally don’t have any issues on any of my Nitro helicopters with the rubber mounted grommets with excessive play. There’s a slight few millimeters of movement, but as long as you’ve taken it all the way down and squish that grommet you shouldn’t have very much movement at all.
Where can I get those servo please I have just build my new 700 raw nitro I have 7002 BK servos in it nearly ready for its maiden flight. love your videos

Nice and clean as usual Jeff. Brings back memories with the nitro job😊. Quick question, I am considering building the gasser version of the SAB 700, do I have to have a donor kit, or is that part of the gasser option?
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed the video and brought back some memories. I am going to get the raptor 50 flying. That way you can see it for old times lol so yes, you will need a full roll 700 kit and the gas or conversion. The conversion just gives you the frame sides and a bunch of other parts needed but you will still need the head tail boom all of that
Come just when i'm building a new NX7 ! Is there really a big difference between powerboost 105hz and hz-r engine ?
That is a great flying helicopter. I did a full build series on one about a year ago. The only difference is one is regulated with a fuel pump, and the other one is not. There is no actual power difference, some people will tell you that the fuel regulated runs more consistent, but I personally do not run regulated engines on any of my Nitro helicopters.
I am soooo tempted to go nitro. A gallon of fuel and go fly all day.. my only concern is the tuning.. I'm not good with tuning..
You should! That’s the best part about it Nitro. Being able to just refuel and keep flying. Tuning is not that bad. I made a full video on it, but the smoke will tell you everything.
Pretty easy to burn a gallon with a 700 nitro in short order. Still, it's all the more gratifying enjoying the engine and smoke. Enjoyed your build video, Jeff. I think your inclusion of the finer details is what makes your channel the bomb.
@@robpound8163 you can definitely burn a gallon very quickly on a 700. I normally go though a gallon or two every time I go out because I just keep flying back to back lol Thank you! I really appreciate that. I try to make videos different then any other video out. Explain things in more detail. Show the right way to have a perfect heli and maiden after a build. Show what little things to do so you don’t have any problems. I hate to work on a heli or fix something after I build. So I do my best to make sure when that heli leaves my table it’s 1000% perfect!
Won't ever run the grommets in the Servo! Check your elevator and try move it by hand. You'll see it adds too much play. Modern servos won't have any issue running them without the grommets.
Some people, Run them and some people don’t. I personally don’t have any excessive play or issues with running grommets and I run them on every Nitro helicopter for the last 20+ years.
