  • In this video we get start on rebuilding a used Nitro RAW 700, buying used helis is great and can save you a lot of money! But! Going through them is a must! So we tear it down and replace bearing and belts and make sure this RAW 700 is brand new and ready to fly with no issues!

    You never cease to amaze me Jeff. It’s impressive to me how observant you are to every little mechanical detail which in the long run makes such a difference in the smooth operation of any machine. Whether it’s a plane, helicopter, or a lawn mower, your methods are a good example of how to approach things and get the best performance. As old as I am I always learn from you! Keep up the good work my friend! 🤠👍 Oh yeah, and dang straight with the Snap On tools!!! 😂😂

      Thank you rob some people call it OCD some people call it being super picky I call it perfection lol you can never build too good. That goes for planes,Heli, boats, cars what ever. If you can eliminate the point of failure or set up some thing properly why not do it! At least that’s the way I look at it. Something as simple as the bearings, they can cause cyclic issues gain issues or wobbles. Same with tail, something as simple as a little grit can cause wagging and inconsistency and then you’re constantly fighting an issue that you can’t find. I try and make sure every build is perfect to the best of my ability! Oh yeah! Snap on all day! Only tools I own!

    Very helpful video, question: how you identify the orings for main rotor head, I mean I have a brand new kit but cannot identify the orings 70 an 90? Thank you!

      Thank you! In the kit the dampeners are numbered so it they would say Shore 70 or Shore 90 but if they are numbered then feel them. You can feel the difference. 70s are softer then the 90s.

    The carb markings bit @12:40 is wrong, the top mark is full power, the three in the middle are for reference for setting it for a hover.
    If you set it up to have the upper middle mark as your "full power", your heli will seem to have very little power.

    • @westhobbiesrc8051
      @westhobbiesrc8051  ปีที่แล้ว

      No it’s not. Never said the middle mark is full throttle? Go rewatch. I said the first mark is zero the last mark is full throttle and middle is half/50% throttle.
