I'm looking to implement this for my small business. We use a RB4011 and CCR2004, how would we get both on the same WAN or would I need to buy a secondary connection for router 2? I'm curious if OSPF or VRRP would be a good fit.
@@geogmz8277 I am using an online editor called canva, it has templates specifically for TH-cam thumbnails, previously I just made a presentation in Googledrive and took a screenshot of that.
@@GTech-IT Nothing is preinstalled, you need to supply the images yourself, you can get Cisco images from their site, Juniper from theirs and MikroTik from their site. Though MikroTik is probably the easiest to obtain as it comes with a trial license.

Hi Roy, yes VRRP is industry standard, you could mix and match different routers or even vendors like a cisco with a juniper though this is generally frowned upon as neither vendor will want to support you if you are having issues with the hardware regarding the VRRP.

It turns out that both routers will have the same Internet IP. One router is working, the second is in standby mode. So does this protocol work? Or will badaboom happen? What a pity that it is impossible to insert an explanatory picture!

Can VRRP be set to use the Bridge port instead of a physical ethernet port?
Sure, I've used bridged VPLS interfaces with VRRP and that worked just fine.
