    Well done sir. Concise, accurate, thoroughly explained, and 100% of the time demonstrating the features as they exist in the product.

    "Old" Air Force Comms guy getting ready to deploy a full Microtik stack to our homestead up here in MB. Bringing in multiple LTE as a backup/bridging with starlink and doing some PTP bridging between other properties. Looks like I found my resource for brushing up on some knowledge. Thanks for the videos sir! Looking forward to diving in.

    Great video. MikroTik puts lots of helpful tools into their software. I use many of these almost daily.

      Indeed, MikroTik makes lots of excellent tools to use in their software. I wanted to make a top 10 list but then the video started getting too long!

    Can you make a Load Balancing/Fail-Over video for multiple ISP including USB LTE failover. There are many videos about Load Balancing and Fail-Over on Mikrotik, but their explanation isn't thorough.

    Nice job Network Berg. Is it ROMON only for discover routers or and switches? Cisco switches for example? ROMON shows me nothing :)

    Hi there, please make a tutorial video about which dengrous ports list by default we must to block on microtik firewall for more security . Thnx

    My experience with unifi switches and mikrotik is unifi switches do not pass romon traffic. So a unifi switch between mt devices act as a romon wall. This was the case 2yrs ago, not sure if it has been fixed.

    I wanna ask something about no1. Can we close seeing neighbours? and Can i hide my mikrotik from others?

    • @TheNetworkBerg
      @TheNetworkBerg  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi Mutlu, yes you can definitely hide your neighbors and also stop your MikroTik from broadcasting MNDP to give out information. There are two steps to doing this.
      1. Create an interface list and add any interfaces you do not want to be discovered:
      /interface list add name=deny-mndp
      /interface list member add interface=ether1 list=deny-mndp
      2. Set the interface list to the discover-interface-list in your IP Neighbor discovery settings (the exclamation mark (!) is very important.
      /ip neighbor discovery-settings set discover-interface-list=!deny-mndp
      Once done you will be able to hide your MikroTik from other MikroTik or Cisco devices.
      I hope this answers your question :)

    Nice video, but the BTest Server is crap. It max out any CPU so fast that you cant make max throughput tests, even on a CCR2004. It sucks.
