Wait is thismusic playing in this anime? :0 I already knew she was the composer and I've been wanting to try this anime for a long time but if this beauty is in here, I'll go watch immediately
This song is pure magic. It is made by a Japanese artist but it has a Chinese vibe. I would like to add this piece to my playlist but i don't really know in what category i should put it...
Man~ When I first saw you upload Akiko Shikata song, I thought its going to be a vocal song. Turn out, its an ancient-like chinese folk song. Like the one they played when they are celebrating the Chinese New Year(which is around the corner anyway). And the vibe is very up-beat to me^^ Oh, and what did you know theres her voice in the chorus. Spicing it up. Thanks for the upload. :) This is quite refreshing to listen^^
OneLittleConey I've seen Akiko Shikata live and can assure you with 100% certainty she is a genuine woman. What kind of ridiculous lie convinced you she is a man?
I think Aya should have something more speedy. :D Maybe it's just because when I think of Shameimaru I connect her to Wind God Girl, Mysterious Mountain and Black Eyes which all are very speedy.
Heard this song for the first time in middle school, probably about 8th grade ago from a friend, the first time I heard it, I liked it! It's been 8 years since then, my friendship with other people has also been silent. sink into oblivion. What a pity!
One of Shikata's older albums. I kinda miss these kinds of instrumentals from her. She tends to do her Orgels instead nowaday, which is nice in their own way.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but was this or was this not one of the most gorgeous things you have ever heard? It hit me in the chest so hard, and i was picturing all these beautiful thing.
@@poohcom1 Those bagpipe-like drones are called Sheng, also known as Sho in Japan. The Japanese used it as part of an ensemble of court music during the Heian period, which was influenced by the Chinese during the Han dynasty, I think. The looks like a mini organ that you can blow like a trumpet
This music remind me of Japanese festival. And the chorus melody is like Buddhism song, and the way of singing a song is like Japanese Buddhism song or Japanese folk song. I am glad to find new great song.

anyone know the name of the wind instrument at the beginning (and also at 3:05 if its even the same intruments)? It has a very bright timbre to it, almost bird-like. I'm pretty sure its neither the shakuhachi nor the ryuteki but I could be wrong.
Does anyone know why she doesn’t appear in Spotify anymore ;A; I had a playlist w some of her songs and all of a sudden it appeared that the list is empty
+Him Do Akiko Shikata has made many similiar tracks. I have some on my channel (in my Akiko Shikata playlist) and you can try searching for more on youtube. Her more popular work includes vocals but to my knowledge she has made a lot more instrumental soundtrack work.
+Wisp Green haha :), I mean is there a specific name for the style o her dress? For example when someone says china dress most would typically think of a qipao. And I mean the sleeves are to short for it to be a hanfu, and there is a slit to the side.... Does that make sense? I was wondering if anyone can tell me what the dress is called. Though I admit to have worded it wrong
+Ttheweird Huh...well, jokes aside, I really couldn't say. Now that I look at it I don't think I've seen a style exactly like that, though I can see the similarities in the kinds you mentioned. Now I'm interested too, so I wish I had a better answer for you but I have no clue. :o
+Ttheweird It's a mix of the traditional japanese shrine maiden outfit (the modern "anime" variation of it with detached sleeves) and a modern chinese dress with the long and straight split bottom part. The straps are probably just an artist's personal taste, because nothing like that is worn in real life. Final Fantasy started the trend of having a lot of straps and belts in one's clothing no matter how impractical they may be, making the trope very common in animated shows and especially games. Some people consider them cool but it's not very creative anymore - nor practical for the wearer of the outfit. ;) I hope that responded to your question.
+SkuddeOuo Thank you! It was really curious! XD This is the beauty of art, you don't have to describe things, like in stories, since they are presented to you. Thank you again for the help both of you!
My sister and I found her because of Yona of th Dawn! Such beautiful music and soundtrack!
Same here :)

Beautiful song! And a great one for background music during a stressful day at work.
I came here because of 暁のヨナ
This singer makes great music
alexis quentin her name is Akiko Shikata
+Martin Hill hes actually a guy named Edafon Koujirou, Akiko Shikata is just an alias
+OneLittleConey I hope you're joking and don't actually believe that.
Jacob Landry
Why would I be joking about such a serious matter

Done very well!!!! It's unique, I have never seen a song like this before. Thank you for sharing.
The first thing that came to mind when I clicked this link was Aya Shameimaru of Touhou. The song actually would fit her rather well.
I think Aya should have something more speedy. :D Maybe it's just because when I think of Shameimaru I connect her to Wind God Girl, Mysterious Mountain and Black Eyes which all are very speedy.
I also used to have this thought back when I often played touhou
Aya strikes me as much speedier. This might be good for the other tengu we don't see, though. Maybe for Momiji?

不思議なものよのう…

love you Japan from India
Dunno why but reminds me Pkmn red rescue team
It's the accents on beat 2 and 4. Compare 1:02 with Sky Tower Summit, along with the bagpipe-like drones.
I know what you mean. Totally got some Great Canyon vibes from the beginning of the song.

This isn’t “strong Japanese folk” lol. It’s a Japanese-produced imitation of Chinese folk music.
Could you tell me Chinese folk music like this song, please.
Does anyone know why she doesn’t appear in Spotify anymore ;A; I had a playlist w some of her songs and all of a sudden it appeared that the list is empty
Maybe there is a japanese streaming service that her work was moved to?

It's a type of far-eastern folk music. Akiko Shikata has made more similar tunes so at least check out the album this piece is from.
can you tell me what genre it is or the specific name of this style of music , thanks btw
Sorry, I'm not an expert at all. Searching the album or forums with people interested in Shikata's music there's probably people who know better.
