Splitting lanes has got to be the stupidest thing a biker could possibly do. I don't care if it's legal or not. Good luck.

Look at all the people you put your future health into their control - one bang is all it takes to have a future of incredible pain. I'm amazed how people will take zero responsibility if something does happen - that trust back-fires and it comes down to - why would you ever give up control to all those random vehicles.

The comments are really funny. Only bikers know that 4-wheelers drive on peripheral vision during traffic even if they’re staring right at it… the mind goes somewhere else, and the perception of depth to a car driver observing a single-taillighted vehicle is extremely skewed which is dangerous in human autopilot mode, which is why it’s genuinely safer to make yourself the primary traffic observer at all times by putting the risk of flawed decision making in FRONT of your precious life instead of behind it.

This is bad. Very bad. You'll be master of the universe until the second you're not. Doesn't take much. Last time I checked,, trumpet playing is very physical. Riding is dangerous enough without splitting lanes. Seems like the quick way to end playing career. Please heed this advice from someone with several hundred thousands of miles under his butt, who still practices motorcycle cop style drills religiously. THIS. IS. BAD, even if legal in Ca. You'll ride longer if you not only ride safe, but ride smart.
